We had a very enjoyable dinner at Forty Four Sheen Lane this evening. All our meals were perfectly cooked, well presented and delicious. The service from Dimitris and Panos was excellent. They made us feel very welcome, they were always on hand if we needed anything and we never felt rushed. We'll definitely be returning soon.

Excellent food, we had the croquetas and asparagus vol-au-vents to start, a roast cod special each and finished eith the hot apple tarte tatin with ice cream. Each course was beautifully presented and Dimitris and Panos couldn't have been more attentive. Irish coffee could have been a smidge warmer, but it was very tasty! The atmosphere was also beautiful and the Christmas tree was extra special.

Delicious seafood, brilliantly made sauces - you can absolutely recognise a real chef is making everything fresh. Incredible service. Would recommend to anyone! My mother is vegetarian and gluten free and they accommodated very generously for her. They created a platter for her which she adored. Clean plates all round! Charming waiter named Dimitris.

A lovely place with delicious food, wine and people, especially for families with kids. We had a birthday celebration, and the staff really made our day. They were so kind to be tolerant with the kids and to serve the birthday cake to the table. Thanks all of them and especially to Dimitris👍

Great place to have a proper tasty meal with your fiance and literally relax. The service is kind and smiley and always there to help you in case you need something. The interior is so beautiful and quite minimal maybe and the ambience is so nice

We had a wonderful evening. The food was fantastic. Everything was cooked perfectly and all the meals were very tasty. The cocktails were really nice and the wine delicious, even more so when sipped in a nice atmosphere. Dimitris and the rest of the staff were all very welcoming, amicable and relaxed. Dimitris advised us on the wine and we weren’t disappointed. We will definitely be back and this might become our go to restaurant in the area from now on.

We had a delicious meal in quiet and beautiful surroundings with warm and attentive service from Dimitris. We will definitely be back to try his Moussaka next time it's on the menu! On this occasion we had the cod special which was divine and two exquisite desserts. Highly recommended.

Very tasty meal, with a good house wine and delicious starters!

Unfortunately we had a bad experience here yesterday. The food was very salted, even for my baby the meat and chips were too salty that we couldn’t eat. We were the only guests in this restaurant on Sunday and I would expect better service. We ordered chips and the waitress forgot about them.

The Gnocchi was A Ma ZING!!!! Quiet but not awkward and I am sure if news spreads this place will be packed.

We enjoyed such a pleasant evening in this friendly & relaxed local restaurant in the heart of Sheen. The dishes are always extremely tasty and well prepared. Nothing is too much trouble for the friendly and cheery staff who are very welcoming and attentive. We are a family with meat eaters and vegetarians. The steak my partner ordered was beautifully prepared exactly as he likes it and the pasta for the vegetarians was also delicious. It would be nice to have a couple more vegetarian dishes to choose from if I was pressed as to how they can improve the menu but that’s the only mini criticism from our point of view. The crème brûlée was absolutely gorgeous if you have a sweet tooth. We’ll definitely be back soon.

I really liked the scallops starter (very fresh with melty texture), the live guitar music from the lad who lives next door and the excellent service, especially from our friendly waiter Dimitris. The fish curry needs more sauce though.

We’ve walked past this many times and have always wanted to pop in and when we finally did, it didn’t disappoint! The lamb was melt in the mouth delicious, the miso cod was perfectly cooked and the starters were super tasty. The service was exceptional - Dimitris was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us and the atmosphere and local live musician was a great touch. Highly recommend!

What an amazing find , a little gem with delicious and high quality food, my fish cake was divine accompanied with a very tasty sauce and the scallops very well cooked. The whole family really enjoyed the dining experience, and the decor was really tasteful and cosy😊 Our waiter Dimitris was really helpful in choosing our wines and knowledgeable about various regions too. I chose this place based on the ratings and am glad we did as it’s definitely a place we’ll be coming back to😊

Was in Sheen randomly (not our neighborhood), it was noon and we were hungry. Happened on Forty Four Restaurant. What a pleasant surprise! Greeted by Dimitris the very welcoming house manager who provided impeccable service throughout. My dining partner had two starters, seared tuna and scallops. The scallops were judged super fresh and perfectly cooked; worthy of another visit to Sheen for them alone. I enjoyed the three course set menu all very good with a call out for the sticky toffee pudding which is prepared in house. In short if you happen to be in Sheen, randomly or not, well worth a visit.

Great Restaurant with an eclectic menu. Service is attentive and friendly and we were all offered a friendly welcome on arrival and departure. Food is really delicious, with plenty of flavour and very reasonably priced. Fantastic local restaurant. It was completely full on a Saturday night and booking is very much recommended.

The cocktails were really good, but the star of the show is the fish, we had scallops and cod, they were both perfect. Make a booking, you won't regret it!

Really enjoyed our meal at 44 Sheen Lane. The food was excellent - our main courses blackened cod and monkfish and prawn curry were both superbly cooked. And the Albarino wine was excellent. As was the service from Demitri the waiter. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant as the best in Sheen.

Blackened Miso Cod Fillet :The miso cod is surprisingly nice, very fresh taste and good combo of sauce. Peruvian-Style Comfed Grilled :The chicken is juicy and has a hint of grilled aromatic taste. Atmosphere:Elegant interior,lovely place for a date.

Always a delight taking the family for dinner at 44. The level of service and standard of food is impeccable and beats many of the top West End and City restaurants. Dimetris on the front of house is hugely welcoming.

Such a lovely neighbourhood restaurant. The food is amazing. I went a few months ago and have been dreaming about the Peruvian chicken supreme ever since. Was very excited to get it again this time and they did not disappoint. The entire menu is full of very special dishes. The staff are professional and very friendly. Fantastic food, exemplary service! We had the seared tuna and the crispy squid starters, followed by the pork ribs, crispy chicken, duck bon bons, side of spinach -- all amazing! and a lovely bottle of red --- then to my absolute horror, i spilled my glass of water onto the floor, but Dimitris was so GRACIOUS and kind, i was able to forget about it and continue to enjoy my lovely dinner. THANK YOU Dimitris and Faith for your hospitality! -and thank you to the talented kitchen staff!! Can't wait to return.

Food was outstanding, you'd pay four times this in central London, the chefs should teach on Hells Kitchen. Service was utterly perfect, attentive but not in-your-face. Faith and Dimitris were Gold Standard.

Really delicious meal, very delightful atmosphere and caring service. Checked all the boxes! The salt and pepper squid was a great way to start. We enjoyed the steak, sea bass, BBQ ribs and artichoke tortelloni. Everything was a winner!

Still the best restaurant in the area in my opinion.

Service was good, food generally good, but the filet steak was very dry with just chips as an accompaniment. The atmosphere was poor as the restaurant has 100% hard surfaces which made it very noisy. I had to ask the waitress to repeat what she was saying four times, and then I just gave up. The noise levels were made worse by a party of five exuberant 9-10 year old boys and their mothers, but this was on a low occupancy night and I blame the restaurant fittings more than the boys. Adding loud music into the mix made things worse. I wouldn't revisit.

The food was very good but the service was terrible. We were not made to feel welcome and were not even given a smile. There were maybe 10 words spoken from start to finish, no food check, no offer of more drinks, we had to get their attention for everything. Worst of all, this was Christmas Day. If you are not made to feel welcome on Christmas Day, then I definitely won't be back andy other

Food was good but the service was flat and unwelcoming. At these prices you would think they would be able to crack a smile and give the impression that they are happy to have you as a customer.

Visited for the first time tonight. The menu has a really good variety of dishes all of which I was tempted by. We had the chicken Milanese and the miso cod. Both were excellent, lovely presentation, even the rice side dish was excellent, really can't fault the food. The service was also really good, the cocktails were reasonably priced and v good and we had the cheapest red wine at £25.50 and that was delicious. We will definitely be back

I worked here for a few weeks and without warning he went on vacation for three weeks but he told me the day to start after the vacation. After waiting three weeks and spending the money on an expensive uniform that he exactly wanted,one day before starting work he sent me a message that he didn't need me anymore and thank you for my services. I asked him many times if he needed me to know if I should wait for them to come on vacation and he said yes of course and I believed it. So I wasted time and money.

Lived nearby for years and heard only positive reviews. I'm normally v critical because so many restaurants ultimately provide such mediocre offerings but we had a really lovely relaxed evening, great food, great service. I highly recommended which is a bit unusual for me. Will definitely be coming back soon :-) The lamb I had was perfect 🥰

Excellent neighbourhood gem! I have been here a few times and introduced others as well and there has not been a single negative remark. The food is innovative and delicious. Nothing is bland, boring or ordinary. All unique dishes, well put together and inventive. What we tried on latest trip: The fillet steak had an option of pepper or truffle sauce and we said that sounds like a good combo for a sauce and they said they'd could do that for us....it was the best sauce on steak! The crispy chicken starter is my favourite thing on menu! Miso cod is excellent and duck bons bons also very good
