Asked for cod and chips. Good chips the fish was not cod, was hake, overcooked on outside, undercooked, cold and mushy on the inside. Told the waitress about the mistake and she, in a mockery tone, said "sorry, I didn't know!" It looks like they don't know how to cook nor what they are cooking and serving. I can't imagine the cross contamination inside that kitchen. Definitely not recommendable!

Honey’s is always value for the money! Hot soup when it’s rain! Juicy Pattie when it’s sunny! The staff are happy to accommodate! The owner is sweet and funny! When the fried fish is served I am a happy bunny! I have used the shop off and on for years and I never have no fears ! I get give and get jokes and leave in tears ! When the owner reads this review! She can tell me cheers !

It would have been a good night had it not been for the unprofessional attitude of the manager, Having looked at the menu on their website, we decided to book for a team dinner as the prices fit within our budget - The weekday menu is advertised as £17.50 for 2 courses and £22.00 for 3 courses. The meal was OK, and the service was great (I do feel bad for the waitress giving a 1 star review) the problems arose when the bill arrived. You get presented with a blank piece of paper apart from the total, no breakdown of meals or prices, and it was far higher than it should have been. In our party of 18, 10 people had 2 courses and 8 had 3 courses and they tried to charge almost £550.00. I questioned this and was told I would need to speak with the manager. When he came out of the kitchen, he didn't walk further than the door so we had to go over to him (this conversation wouldn't have disturbed any other customers as we were the only people there). From the start he was incredibly rude and when we questioned the amount of the bill he insisted it was correct. We tried to explain that the menu on the website very clearly stated different prices and even checked it whilst we were talking just in case anything had changed - it hadn't but he didn't care. He continued to insist the price charged was correct, which was £27.50 per person, we pointed out that was the price advertised on the weekend menu and we were there on a Wednesday. His response to this they were old prices and how we can we expect to only pay £17.50 or £22.00. He couldn't tell me how we were meant to be aware of this without being told. He continued to argue, yell and dismiss all of our questions, until he stomped off into the kitchen yelling over his shoulder for us to get out! We settled the bill, at the advertised price, and ensured that the service charge added did go to the staff, but this encounter did overshadow the evening and is not how I expect any customer to be treated in a restaurant. I would not recomend going to this restaurant based on the way the manager treats people who have the "audacity" to question him, if you do decide to go make you check the prices before ordering anything. The picture below shows the menu the night we were there and I have checked their website again today and the weekday menu is still advertised at the same price.

Had roast,. Nice atmosphere and plenty of space. Food a little underwhelming and bland. Would go back for drinks only.

The food was ok, slightly above average. Great presentation, fresh and tasty. However, my concern since I visited it twice is the handling of meats. Both times, they were not good as expected. Having 4 cooks and possibly a chef in the kitchen... it should be outstanding food-wise, it is just above average.

Within 100 yards of Deptford Station this is certainly a good spot for the ale lover. Yorkshire brewery SALT have a wide array of brilliant beers - for me on this occasion it was the Huckaback. Lovely. The pizza offering is good, and my Capricciosa was fresh, tasty and filling. Yes, as per some other reviews the speed of service is a little lethargic. But it wouldn’t stop me from returning. On another visit, with more time at my disposal, I’d happily work my way down the ale board!

I was so shocked at the service I received yesterday at this food place I came in I and asked the man at the desk do you pay by card here he replied me yes then I told him my order which was Large Singapore fried rice with chilli oil on top and pepper chicken and then he replied no we don't pay by card and started showing me some leaflet then I said ok I will go and get cash he kept asking me so are going to order or not rudely I ignored his rudeness and said I will go and get cash and said I did still want to order what I asked for and so I did so then came back. When I came back I told him my Mum also wants to order something as my Mum called me to tell me her order then I said can you please add that to the order my Mum wanted Large Singapore fried rice with chilli oil on top and spare ribs and fresh chilli's the man then said in an abrupt manner why didn't you tell me about your mums order before the meal was £24.70 all together as the fresh chilli peppers were added on and were 20p. I then waited for my takeaway to come the man gave it to me saying it was ready, I took my takeaway thinking everything including the fresh peppers in a small bowl was there and took it, my mum was waiting around the corner from the shop in her car so I had to walk in the pouring rain back to it and we were both hungry when I got to the car and checked inside the bag I noticed the man hadn't given us any cutlery for us to use to eat the takeaway, he also added no serviette's and the fresh peppers that the shop sell that my Mum asked for were not there and I went back to the shop and told the man that the fresh peppers were not there and he gave us no cutlery and serviettes, The man then said "95% of customers don't need cutlery', as he handed me cutlery rolled up in serviettes in a sarcastic manner with a smirk across his face (I was so angry when he made this comment I don't know if he was trying to be funny or something all he needed to say was sorry I forgot to give you your cutlery I wouldn't even have been upset I am quite reasonable I would have understood as that place was busy that day and food places usually get busy around the evening time anyway) and I also mentioned to him that the peppers that I paid for are missing he then said the red peppers are inside the rice I said I paid for it separately and it was supposed to be in a bowl (there were no red peppers in the rice) the man kept being rude and argumentative and at some point in the conversation he demanded that I should pay for the peppers that I already paid for again. The service I received from this man was absolutely appalling I couldn't believe he had the cheek to ask me to pay more money for something I had already paid for bear in mind I used to stay around that Newcross area and my old church was across the road I would often buy food from this shop and it was always lovely food and the staff were friendly even though I no longer live in London me and my Mum always looked for to eating Chinese from this place whenever we visited London as we don't have many Chinese take away places were we are, it seems like they have since gotten new management, it's really a shame honestly as it was a lovely take out place this man will ruin the reputation of this shop if he doesn't improve on his poor customer service skills.

I've no idea what the hotel is like but I've been coming to this pub like the ones that don't exist anymore for years. It certainly wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea but if you like raucous music - a wide variety of punk, dance, reggae etc but especially punk - a very laid back outside smoking area with a double decker bus and even a half decent pool table out the back, you won't be disappointed. The beer is well kept and they have a popular happy hour midweek
