The lady who served us barely spoke English so communicating and ordering was a painful task. Then we decided to have it as a takeaway instead as the mood had been spoilt. She then said that cash payments only. We asked why, then she picked up a board written with "cash only" from behind the bar. At this point we left. Very bad service and you can tell that the "cash only" is to avoid taxes so it is not registered in the till.

Over the last three years we have had dinner at The Real Jerk at least 5 times. Each time the food has been good but the service which started off as slow, has now become farcical. On our most recent visit the venue had five tables with customers. We were looked up and down by the surly waitress who then threw some tatty menus at us, and we waited and waited and waited. No offer to order drinks, let alone food, as the waitress played with her phone and fired filthy looks at all the customers. We stood up to leave having still not ordered and two other tables followed us out. It is a real shame because the food could be really great, but the staff are rude beyond belief. The owner either doesn't care or doesn't know. A fresh lick of paint and new serving staff with an ounce of training would go a long way.

Visited last month and got fined, I have been here before last year and this early this year There has never been a parking fee, now a pint of drinks turned up to be £60 (fine) if not paid within certain days if not then it goes to £100 Im sure the owner o management can help us challenge this parking fine, all majority of london pubs have free parking for customers.

I always have a positive experience there. They are kind and the pizza is delicious! I am a local resident and find it ver handy to have a Domino’s just in the corner.

I had an incredibly disappointing and upsetting experience at Chicken Cottage. During my visit, I encountered blatant homophobic behavior from the staff, which left me feeling shocked and deeply uncomfortable. When I placed my order, the cashier made a derogatory comment about my appearance and my partner. Instead of treating us with the same respect given to other customers, they openly mocked us, using slurs and offensive language. It was appalling and completely unacceptable. I tried to address the issue with the staff member, but they laughed it off and continued to make derogatory remarks. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also hurtful and discriminatory. It's 2024—no one should have to endure this kind of treatment, especially in a public place. I will never return to this location again and will be informing others about this disgraceful experience. Chicken Cottage seriously needs to reevaluate their staff training and policies regarding discrimination. No one should have to face such hateful behavior, and it’s clear this establishment needs to take accountability for their actions.

After moving to Brixton and being long-term Papa John fans we have decided to boycott this pizza joint. Staff here will argue the toss when they get your order wrong - on numerous occasions we have been without Pepsi, given us a veggie pizza base and then failed to deliver our chicken wings. On one occasion they made us wait an hour to re deliver chicken wings and gave the skinniest wings in London Town! Avoid this franchise!!!!
