This is a wonderful store - a huge range of vintage books and records, all curated by the genial, expert owner. And while you’re browsing, there is a good little coffee bar - and they have an alcohol licence. PLUS there are regular live music events most weekends. This place is an absolute treasure.

Vibes, service and food is all great. Love the outdoor kind of beer garden area. I come here whenever I’m around and will continue to do so.

Tasty breakfast with nice coffee, all reasonably priced and served with a smile in a happy oasis of calm overlooking the bustling street outside. Just perfect! 🤩

Worst experience, the chicken had a bad smell and tasted disgusting. At the first bite, I couldn't finish it. I spat it out and threw away a whole box worth £10.50. What a bad place.!!! 🤢🤮👎

Visited last Saturday , very small cafe . Not much room (tight) Staff not great ! Said a couple of times to order be there in a minute not!! When food came out looked lovely but after a couple of mouthfuls couldn’t eat was cold just put me of it. They did say can do another meal but to be honest went right if it . Coffee in small cups for the price need bigger cups . Won’t be visiting again first time ,usually when visiting go to the Otters cafe which is very nice .

Being based in West Norwood/Tulse Hill area for over a decade, now in Croydon, I find myself coming back here often. A gastropub by trade, paying penance to The Historic Great North Wood, this venue has an eclectic selection of food, pints and drinks. Situated at the back of the pub not on the main road, there is a garden, where you can spend the day soaking in the sun, or if it’s cold, heaters are available, whilst drinking away. A train station situated just nearby to not interfere but close enough when you’ve had one too many… Upstairs there is a function room, suitable to hold a myriad of events. Birthdays, wakes, baby showers, all types of event can be held with ever helpful, kind staff who will make sure your event runs smoothly. The pub manager, Adam, is always ready to go the extra mile, which cannot be said for other pubs in the area. The food changes from time to time yet the one thing that doesn’t change, is the quality. Sunday roasts here are a thing of beauty, really worth the trip down! This place is a must visit!!

¡Decepcionado! Pedí comida y una bebida. Apenas comencé a comer y me informó el servidor que tenía 20 minutos para terminar porque la mesa ahora se ha reservado a pesar de que había un montón de otras mesas disponibles. Actitud muy extraña. No recomendaría.

No attention to the client ... Waited 5 min before member of staff finished his chat with a friend ... Waited for my bloody burger and popcorn chicken over 15 min even though I was only one in the shop SHOCKING

Walking towards West Norwood Station I passed The Crown Cafe. They were about to close but accepted my late lunch order for Shepheard's and English Breakfast Tea. I did not expect what I was served. Perfectly cooked vegetables and a really tasty pie.

Small family restaurant which did excellent meals. We had an all day breakfast at 12.30.Restaurant very clean and the service was good.

The waitress who asked for our order gave dirty looks, sighed when there was miss communication and was overall very rude. When my partner asked another waitress where the toilet was she looked annoyed. Food was standard overal I’d say a 5/10 There’s also a 12.5% service charge that I didn’t feel was fair to pay, considering our the service was some of the worse I’ve had. We’d normally tip but definitely not here.

Ordered via Deliveroo, and received a call from Deliveroo advising me that the restaurant had no drivers. The restaurant themselves provide the drivers, so this was on them, and they waited 45 mins to inform me, by which point it was going to be too late to order anything else. From the other reviews, it looks as though I may have dodged a bullet…

This restaurant has gone out of business but is still taking money for orders placed online. DO NOT USE!
