I really rate the kebabs here the salad is fresh and juicy with lemons and chillies. Good quality for what it is thank you- I do recommend

I have been going to Efes for more than 15 and until tonight I have alsways had a good meal. Tonight we waited more than 15 minutes for our order, which was totally wrong when we got it home. Dont bother going if you are a walk in customer, as they prioritise online collect by Uber etc. I won’t ever be going back

I’ve ordered food I’ve gotten the wrong order each time I can’t travel back as I live too far after a day at work I want to have dinner I want what I ordered I asked for the bread separate and it wasn’t I asked for red cabbage and got given white asked for double cheese In a burger and only got one slice I won’t be using this place ever again and I will tell others to avoid this place Your staff don’t seem to understand simple requests they need to be better trained Things are expensive nowadays and when you pay for something you kinda want what you ordered not what they give you because they don’t understand simple instructions I asked for things and didn’t get it I didn’t ask for white cabbage I asked for red and got white Sorry but I work all day I want to come home with food food I ordered The reason I used to use this place was because it was on the way home from work and the orders before hand was correct the last 3 times I’ve been there wrong once is bad enough and can be forgiven but this was the last time I’m very unhappy with my order and the fact that your staff can’t do as asked

I visited the restaurant yesterday and had an amazing experience with food and friendly staff. However, today's visit for lunch was a stark contrast. The person behind the counter was extremely rude, using inappropriate language, and displayed a completely unprofessional attitude. It's disheartening to encounter such behavior, and I left without placing an order. This kind of conduct is unacceptable in a restaurant, and I strongly believe individuals with such an approach should not be representing the establishment. I hope the management addresses this issue promptly for the sake of future customers.

Foods been ok in the past but lost my custom with the appalling service now. Tried to order on the phone, got told to wait a moment and then hung up on. Walked down to order instead, 5 guys behind the counter completely ignored my existence and they really weren't that busy. I waited for 10 minutes whilst they dealt with the only customer there. Eventually my patience ran out and I went to KFC instead. Won't be back.

I ate at their restaurant in Whitechapel which was good so I ordered from Uber a delivery from what I thought was the same restaurant but it was actually the Norwood branch. Food was disgusting, badly packaged in cheap paper, cold coke and warm food tight together. Fries and onions so soaked in oil and steam and unsalted absolutely disgusting they went into the bin. Lamb shish was slightly better but overcooked and chewy never again from this restaurant especially never get a delivery, eatin might be different but the quality of their delivery is awful

I've been a customer for over ten years. They've always been patient, polite, and always kind to my family when buying our food. We're a large family with five kids. Our food is always hot and tasty! Would love to see some new additions on the menu! Maybe some sea bass or half grilled chicken!

Got the lamb doner wrap , it was £7.50 but it was HUGE ( the photo shows only half of the wrap after being cut in half). It was pretty good value for money .

Too much lettuce in the wraps or whatever you order. Not enough meat for the price we pay.

I ordered a falafel wrap from this restaurant. The portion size was very big and the order arrived quickly, those are about the only good things I have to say. The food itself was very mediocre and bland. I can't say I'm enthusiastic about recommending to others or returning in the future.

Please read carefully.....I ordered last night after reading reviews and realising Dem don't deliver... As below the man said the chicken doner DO NOT ORDER it...I ordered the lamb chicken Doner Mix & Lamb and Chicken Shish I enjoyed all of it and would order again but I would AVoid the chicken Doner like the plague it's tasteless with a aftertaste. The Lamb doner was delicious. They also include a lovely lemon slice and big green chillies with the salad which was greatly appreciated. Lovely salad tbh and some nice sauces...also quick delivery. It would be a 5 star if it was not for the chicken doner meat that let it down 🍗 👍 Thanks ✨

Alright hear me now, for this review I decided to stay real local and try a restaurant that I’ve passed many times but never really paid much attention to. Efes Restaurant is a small, cozy establishment most known for its kebabs. I got a small mixed meat and chips. The size was pretty decent, and included a hefty amount of fresh salad. The chips were crispy; fluffy, salted wonderfully, and not at all floppy (which would have been a significant issue when paired with doner meat, especially with all the sauce and salad). The chilli sauce was the right amount of spicy and flavoursome, and the lamb doner was amazing. The long strips of meat were tasty and cooked very well. But though the chips, salad, and doner meat were brilliant, there was one disappointing downside: the chicken doner. If you go here, do yourself a favour and just stick to the lamb. The flavours of the chicken were so lacking as to be almost nonexistent. It was mostly cooked well, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it. Therefore, due to the chicken, I wasn’t able to give the meal the rating it would else wise have been due. 6.7/10 For more reviews check out my insta : sjtalks_

This can be a good experience. However it depends who is serving and what time of day it is. I get a kebab when i don't have time to cook. so I want it to fill me up like a meal . There are two guys that seem to be in charge and if they are there you will get good service and a good value for money. I f however you have the misfortune to be served by the lower ranks the portions will be skant . This is also the case if you order by phone . You need to be there and watch them put your meal together. Other wise the the vegetable part of your meal will be more like a garnish and not a salad. I phoned through an order today , collected it and took it home . As soon as it was finished I had to cook myself something to eat because I was still hungry . My kebab cost nearly £10

I usually love efes doner kebab, but when i ordered via uber, i spent £50 on food for my family, to receive it cold, there were missing items and when we called up about it, the guy couldn’t seem any less interested about our problem. The chips were refried, more like crisps. and the kebab had no flavour? i’ve never had service from efes as bad as this. it’s like they have no regard for online orders because when i walk in the food is great.

It’s a good place to get takeout whilst your on your way to work. And they sell amazing food.

Great Donner and very friendly service. Even though it’s just a takeout place, it has a nice feel when you sit in too.

Their prices on Deliveroo, uber eats and just eat are literally double most other kebab places. This means on principle I shouldn't order from them as that’s an absolutely ridiculously high price but why? The food is better than other kebab places TBF but I don’t understand why they are charging SO much more, I think thier prices are too high. Maybe they would have mor customers if the lowered thie rprices a bit. Also for some really frustrating reason they have changed thier packaging and don't actually put the kebab together like they used to which i relaly hate! It comes all deconstructed and is worse for it!

I order tonight a mix shish with chicken and lamb with chips, pita bread, salad and chili sauce , mint sauce The meat was absolutely great, cooked to perfection. Salad was great, chips, basic, nothing special about them, the sauces absolut delicious, homemade. I was very happy with the order,the only downside was the portion of the shish, very very small. I will definitely order again, top quality.

Kebab is hard and had flies in my lettuce. Very very stingy place even when you don't mind paying for things they still don't want to give you such as sauces and salad. Talk in there language whenever you ask them for something they don't want to do for you, which i think is very rude and then lie that they put in your bag and don't. Talk ENGLISH its unprofessional to talk about your customers in your language. Over priced, you can get much nicer kebab in local area. Not worth the money.

It's the best kebab place and take away in West norwood by far. I always had the chicken diner as I don't like lamb take away kebabs. It's only recently that I found the kebabs don't really taste the same which has sort of put me off slightly. The staff have always come across friendly. Though lately when I've walked in there I've noticed an unbearable sweaty smell, which has totally put me off of ordering food.

I have eaten there a few times, although the last time, about two days ago I got food poisoning. Food poisoning is basically down to poor hygiene and health standards. You can't say it was a one off...I've clearly dodged a few bullets in the past. Never again.

We’re local veggies and we always get the falafel wrap and chips to take away. IMO this is among the best falafel in London - so delicious: crispy on the outside and soft / fluffy in the middle. Plus the salad is lovely and fresh which makes it crunchy and light. One order is normally enough to share between two as well so it’s amazing value to boot!

We love Efes, it's our local kebab shop and have been going there once a month or so for years. They're completely reliable, never got an order wrong. Friendly staff, reasonable price. The food is consistently good, recommend the chicken shish wrap or falafel wrap.

A few weeks ago a bro took me go this kebab shop. Medium priced place but I think the mixed grill we had was better than anywhere I've ever been, and believe me I've been to a lot of Turkish places. Presentation was amazing too. The complimentary salad was perfectly dressed. Etc. Nice chips. And it was £18.95. 7 out of 5 stars The shop has a lovely simple decor. I love the painting of the sheikh at the entrance to a mosque with all these tortoises around him. Whats it all about?!

We didn't get to eat here because unfortunately they sell alcohol. I wish they didn't as it is supposedly a muslim, halal restaurant and seeing all the wine bottles made us feel uncomfortable. Hope the restaurant takes this on board. The decor looked nice.

Tuve mi primer kebab en Londres en 1975 en un puesto en la esquina de Gloucester Rd y Cromwell. Fue el cielo. Desde entonces, mi y Donna se han distanciado. Me entretuve un rato con Shish y Kofta, pero ellos también se volvieron mundanos. La última vez que estuve en Effes eran las 3 de la mañana por una botella de vino tinto. El kebab era solo para mantenerlo legal. Esta noche paré y compré un Doner & Kofta y tuve un trío en el 468. ¡Había olvidado que un kebab podía probar tan bien! Hermosos sabores de cordero cubiertos con un toque de hierbas. El personal está un poco restringido. Quién no lo estaría después de que los pubs se hayan cerrado en 'Lower Norwood', como solía llamarse. Sonríen con sus ojos y vierten amor en esas cajas de poliestireno.
