Stunning evening at the cafe de twine, this was our second time visiting and it didn't fail to impress yet again. Whilst we wasnt aware that late night music was on offer, the owner (Daniel Twine) bringing out his saxophone and dazzling us with his virtuoso performance really was the icing on the cake to round off the perfect night. Can't wait to come back!

Lovely traditional Cafe. Catering is available, which is always brilliant quality and good value for money. Would never use anyone else for Funerals etc

It was my first time ordering from their restaurant and I just have to say that their food was really good. It arrived earlier than expected, it was yummy and tasty.

Nice food and the chips are so good. Hope they keep it up and don't change as its hard to find a good chippy like this now.

Ordered Lamb donner meat and large chips. Lamb Donner size was absolutely small for £7 and it’s about 10 pieces of lamb donner. Chips was a regular portion at best, box was not filled up. The cost was £12 and I wasted my money with the value.

Food is actually quite nice and tasty good potion. I have bought food here for 10yrs+ and the lady is very friendly.

We try coming here every few months to see if it is any better sadly we were not impressed again. Staff are great friendly and helpful but the food leaves plenty to be desired. Couple on the next table had a steak which was mooing on the plate when it was supposed to be medium rare. Our roast was dry turkey, cold sprouts, cauliflower which no fork was ever going to go through and the remaining veg nearly cold. We sent 2 meals out to be microwaved however the spuds came back like doorstops. Would the pudding be better? Unfortunately the order when placed was requested to be HOT but once again we sent them back to be microwaved. We regularly eat at the Smugglers Cove in Clacton and have no such problems-sad really.

Feels like chewing glue deadass, I’m genuinely eating this for survival, send help. Most definitely not worth the price. Might take a couple weeks to digest this one.

Never arrived No one answered the 4 phone calls

Ordered at half 6 On Valentine’s Day and it never arrived. I asked for an update when it was late and was told 8:25, 8:30 came and still no food so I rung the restaurant for them to tell me they are really busy and on there way. 9:30 comes and still haven’t arrived so rang again with no answer so I kept trying and got through at 9:50 to be told it’s on its way. That was another lie. I contacted just eat and got a refund and we decided to go bed as Valentine’s Day was over and ruined. We are asleep and we get a phone call at 11:35 and it’s the restaurant saying it’s gonna be another 10 minutes. Why would I want to eat a dinner I ordered 5 hours ago. The guy on the phone kept apologising and saying we can have it for free but like I mentioned it was 11:35 and we was already asleep. We got our refund but still so angry with the service.

They cancelled orders on us twice without reason. So not a great track record.
