A magnificent evening spent with my family at Cafe De Twine. The food was absolutely exquisite. We decided to visit when the cafe had a live music night, the musician performed a remarkable 2 hour set on the saxophone. Performing an eclectic mix of jazz funk, psychedelic rock & folk classics. An added treat was a 25 minute Elton John medley to round off the performance. We were absolutely stunned to discover that the saxophonist was none other than owner & proprietor Daniel Twine! It’s unbelievable how he manages to find the time & effort to prepare such delicious food whilst simultaneously entertaining the guests so amazingly. Next week is apparently an evening of saxophone & magic with special guest Aaron Crow. Myself & my husband will certainly be returning. Thank you Dan, you made my 70th birthday absolutely unforgettable

Stunning evening at the cafe de twine, this was our second time visiting and it didn't fail to impress yet again. Whilst we wasnt aware that late night music was on offer, the owner (Daniel Twine) bringing out his saxophone and dazzling us with his virtuoso performance really was the icing on the cake to round off the perfect night. Can't wait to come back!

Impeccable cuisine, the type of place you take that 'special' someone. The presentation was off the hook. The best part of the night was the addition of a MAGICIAN, the acoustic element of the night was amazing and the fortune teller was a interesting touch. What an experience, would come back. Compliments to the chef

Cafe de Twine is renowned across dagenham as a magical place to enjoy fantastic food, refreshments and great laugh with friend and foe alike. Whats more, its fast becoming a local hub for Dagenham’s burgeoning tech community. Enjoying some of the strongest wifi I have ever experienced, my crypto start-up CrowCoin has been founded and run almost entirely from the Cafe itself. This is no memestock cafe- this place is going to the metaverse and beyond!

What can I say, they have done it again. Renowned sibling duo Nikki and Dan have perfected the Spitroast. I didn't opt for a starter but went straight for the main course. The steak was juicy and cooked to a perfect medium rare, credit where credit is due Nikki (head chef) really is the queen of moist meat.

Me and my partner had a lovely visit. We spent the weekend in Dagenham and was told we had to visit this place. The waitor could not do more to look after us during our visit. I had heard that many couples previous to us had got engaged at this venue because of the beautiful flowery garden and the unique garden furniture. Knowing this information I could not pass on this opportunity and I had ask my girlfriend to be my future wife. Regarding the meal, I had the chorizo, cheese and truffle omelette which was to die for! Thank you to all the staff for making this special moment in our lives even more memorable.

Amazing cafe! Me and my girlfriend just wanted some decent brunch and this cafe did a very good quality full English with black pudding. The avocado and bacon breakfast was much loved by my girlfriend too! Definitely recommend if you’re in the area

Just had an amazing power-brunch at cafe de twine with some of Dagenham’s top business leaders. Don’t let anyone tell you that Cafe de Twine is a family-only establishment or for two friends to enjoy a quiet drink together (though there is nothing wrong with that of course), these high-rollers and I have high standards, so for our most important meetings only Cafe de Twine will do. I enjoyed the smashed avo on homemade ciabatta buns, perfectly complementing my gluten free, dairy free soy milk. Truly delectable!

The last year has been tough for everyone, none more so than local hospitality businesses. With this in mind I took the opportunity to head out to try one of the upcoming restaurants in the area. What can I say - through the dark cloud of COVID I found a ray of light - this was cafe de Twine. Cafe de Twine is not afraid to take risks, offering combinations you wouldn’t expect; from burger and noodles to pasta wraps - a real gamechanger. If you’re in the area give it a try, I know I’ll be checking out the recently launched takeaway menu! It wasn’t just the experimental offerings at Cafe de Twine that got my attention, it was their great service and ambience too. I have to echo the thoughts of many previous reviews. It’s refreshing to see an owner put so much personal effort into the running of his restaurant. The owner is also not one to shy away from his local CSR responsibilities. As we entered, a special needs cookery class was just leaving - they clearly enjoyed taking their first steps on their culinary quests. One of the participants was so upset the class was over she left in tears. The owner was clearly taken by her and insisted on offering her his personal contact details - a lovely touch and one that really sums up this local gem. Get yourself there before this place takes off!

As Boris gave us the roadmap out of this pandemic, I couldn't help but find myself thinking about eating at Cafe de Twine. It's been 6 long months without tasting the succulent sausages of what can only be described as the Chef in Essex. I have already sent an enquiry for a table on April 12th, and I encourage you to do so ASAP to experience the divine terrace. I am praying that the wonderful Magician will also be back to put the cherry on this quite exceptional cake.

I visited Cafe de Twine this weekend with a group of friends to celebrate Southampton's fantastic draw with Chelsea in the Premier League. It was my first visit to Dagenham for some time and I have to say I was blown away by the quality food, professional service and outstanding entertainment, all delivered in stylish and sophisticated environment. Cafe de Twine expertly combines many of the worlds most celebrated cuisines (the asian-style burger with a side of noodles, rather than chips, is highly recommended). The impressive range of drinks also meant there was something for everyone, with plenty of beers, wines and many lines of soft drink options on the menu to suit every palette. For our group, the highlight of the night was definitely the entertainment on offer. In these strange and unusual times, a little pizzazz goes a long way and Cafe de Twine delivers this in spades. We had seen the adverts for the magician and burlesque show (family friendly, but maybe not for the very young kids!) and were not disappointed. The magician was engaging, entertaining and amusing whilst the burlesque performer was busting out some of the greatest hits of the last 30 years - it really felt like the owner had put a lot of effort into getting her into the building- hopefully he can get her back again soon! The highlight of the evening was the dual performance, where the entertainers had such incredible chemistry that it seemed they had connected on a physical, emotional and even a spiritual level. A symbol of a great dining experience is when the host delivers the little things that take it to the next level. At Cafe de Twine, thats the photo-guestbook. All guests are invited to have their photo taken for inclusion in the guestbook alongside a fun comment. Looking back through the photos really gives a sense of the fun, family-friendly establishment that is Cafe de Twine. We just wish the flash had been turned off for our picture! Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful evening - looking forward to the next visit already.

From the food to the rustic decor, all I can say is divine. This is not the sort of food you expect from a local Dagenham eatery, more that of a swanky London restaurant. The menu offers an array of dishes, including many fusion dishes I would have never have thought of. For dessert lovers, I highly recommend the Sticky Toffee Pudding, although you will definitely want more when you're done. I would also like to say how impressed I was with the service, especially the owner who was spending a substantial amount of time giving attention to a special needs girl on another table, who seemed to be having the night of her life. The restaurant is following all the government guidelines, and we always felt safe. In these difficult times it really is important to keep these small local gems operating, so get down there ASAP, you won't be disappointed

Let me tell you - I went in with an open mind, and I wasn't disappointed! There's a sea of top notch eateries vying for the discerning Dagenham diner's dollar, but this place really TAKES THE CAKE. Contemporary yet comforting, hip yet wholesome - I can't imagine an occasion (Bahmitzvah to afterbirth) that Cafe De Twine wouldn't provide a picturesque setting. I recommend the waldorf salad AND orange cheese cake! YOU DESERVE IT (I'm going to have to EXTRA hard on the spin calss to work it off though LMFAO)

My usual spot for Caribbean food. This place does the best food in London and crave ordering from here. Really glad I got a local Carribean place as good as Jerkpit
