Worst food experience, don't ever try their butter chicken, when you eat their butter chicken next time you will never try butter chicken from any restaurants

Food was Nice. But they take cash only so you have to order advance trough online or when you go you must bring cash with you to get your food. But the food was amazing. We had a Biriyani and Tarka Dal and it was top-noch with good potion. But the service they provide was not good. They seems like don’t care about their customer. The guy in the front was busy browsing facebook while we have been calling him so many times.

This is the worst restaurant. I ordered food from here through just eats and the food never arrived. When I rang the restaurant they lied to me saying that the food was delivered to a lady, but there is no lady living in our house. They spoke so arrogantly and didn't give me the refund. I would never recommend these fraud people and their restaurant to anyone. People kindly stay away from this restaurant if you don't want to lose your money.

Waited about hour and half (had to ring twice to ask if it's on the way) and it was very disappointing madras was covered in oil and meat was tough and naan bread didn't seem cooked. Worse meal ever.

Revolting. Steer well clear. Saag paneer made with cheap melted cheddar instead of paneer. Meat in all curries ordered tough and dry. Red meat mixed in with a chicken curry. Prawn dansak was just a sweet tomato sauce, with rubber bullets for prawns. (Dansak is a lentil based curry - not a pulse to be found!) Everything swimming in grease - don't get me wrong, I expect a take away to be oily, but not to have an inch of oil floating at the top of each container before even getting to the curry! Ordered a garlic naan, a peshwari naan and a cheese naan. All cold, undercooked (still raw and doughy in the middle), and couldn't tell which was which - no cheese, no garlic, no coconut - just three bad plain naans. Chapati was dry, cold and stale. Missing bhajees. Cold food. Rude delivery driver who just dumped everything on the floor instead of handing it to me, didn't say a word, just dropped the food and left - I always tip delivery, but he just dumped the food and walked away before I even had a chance to tip. Tried calling to discuss, just kept ringing, and then line cutting out. (Which to be fair - it was a Saturday evening, but even so - multiple calls, with no answer? How are they taking phone orders if no one answers the phone?) The only decent thing was the tarka daal, which was buttery and garlicky. Portion sizes were tiny, but to be honest, it was such poor quality, I'm glad there wasn't more - it would have just meant more to throw away. Expensive, very poor quality, and not worth the hassle. There are much better places to order in from.

Ordered at 7:43 now 9:11 and still no sign I got told at 8:43 that the food will be 5/10 minutes as their shop is a 4 minute drive from me !!!

We were given a whole tandoori chicken (ordered for our young children) that was cooked on the breast but completely raw on the legs and thighs. The lamb was tough and the prawns dry. All veggie foods and sauces were tasty but we were massively let down and could only some of eat the rice and bread. Restaurant offered to cook and deliver more but the results were the same! My partner ended up returning the food and we had to buy food elsewhere 2 hours after this was originally ordered. A waste of £56 for sure!

Absolutely Appalling! Spent £65.00 on food that was bland, underseasoned, drowned in food colouring and tasteless! Mint sauce & Mango chutney was watered down. Biryani - no seasoning no taste. Lamb chops - overdone, tough. So dissappointing.

Just order through Justeat....and I have to say the food was made without any love or passion considering Indian food which is renowned for flavours. No flavour, no taste, just bland and chillie. Never ever will order from them again and never will recommend. Spent over £15 for takeaway order everything goes straight into the bin after spoonful of taste of the dishes.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a takeaway order. I ordered a takeaway for me and my partner! It was roughly £30 and said it was on its way for 3 hours. I kept calling and calling and them they finally answered the phone after 45mins they said "it's on its way to you" WHAT FOR 3 HOURS? 4 hours later I asked for a full refund and got £3 credit instead. After disputing this I finally got my refund back. Absolutely TRASH service.

Ordered at half 6 On Valentine’s Day and it never arrived. I asked for an update when it was late and was told 8:25, 8:30 came and still no food so I rung the restaurant for them to tell me they are really busy and on there way. 9:30 comes and still haven’t arrived so rang again with no answer so I kept trying and got through at 9:50 to be told it’s on its way. That was another lie. I contacted just eat and got a refund and we decided to go bed as Valentine’s Day was over and ruined. We are asleep and we get a phone call at 11:35 and it’s the restaurant saying it’s gonna be another 10 minutes. Why would I want to eat a dinner I ordered 5 hours ago. The guy on the phone kept apologising and saying we can have it for free but like I mentioned it was 11:35 and we was already asleep. We got our refund but still so angry with the service.

Used this indian for years but just lately the chicken meat has been very tough curry a bit waterey and getting very expensive meal we normally order gone up by £6.50 .

Mediocre at best and in the most parts poor. The chicken dansak was watery, shatkora gosht was terrible with tough chewy meat. The naan was stodgy and slimely, the rice was stuck together. Very slow delivery times, in most cases, if they do not arrive with your food you’d have dodged a bullet!

I don’t usually write reviews but Oh my goodness, Shahjan is the best indian takeaway we’ve ever had and we’re quite fussy.. have been ordering from them for about 2 years and they never disappoint. Chicken is succulent and just can’t fault them. Great value for money. Would so recommend. Big Thank you to the staff!

I had ordered a takeaway on 19th July, I didn't receive two dishes that I had ordered. Food was horrible & tasteless. There was too much food colouring.

Order a couple of times as takeaway. Had a large group party at the restaurant and wow fantastic 👏 the food did not disappoint, highly recommended

Quick delivery, ordered tikka masala, tikka kurma, chicken Madras and Naga chicken. Food was ok, however taste wise I've had better. Being Eastern, I guess my taste buds expect more flavour in each dish.

Ordered last night through Uber Eats, elements missing from order including the free beer. When contacted Shajhan didn't seem bothered and advised that I contact uber Eats - there is no system for getting the missing elements just a refund. This has happened a few times now so will go elsewhere, bit disappointing.

Absolutely shocking experience with them after several times using them never a problem but now gone down hill, driver apparently buzzed up to the flat which is an utter lie and now 45 minutes after him so called buzzing up, still no food and fresh food hasn't been prepared so therefore will have stone cold food, DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL

Food was just warm and sauce was watery Bombay potatoes where discustine. All got put in the bin 4 of us refused to eat it.

Rubbish food. Everything is sweet. Lamb meat was cheap and exceptionally chewy. Items from the order did not turn up and we had to wait 20mins for it to be redeelivered. Meat masala was returned and they didn't refund it back. Naan bread was very thick and burnt around the edges. Better off having tea and buttered toast. Better

Ordered meal at 19:53, was told roughly 55 minutes for delivery. When the food was still not here at 21:10 I had enough and decided to ring the takeaway, only for them to tell me the food had been delivered, To the wrong house!!! When they sent a replacement out and I recieved it the chicken was cooked lovely, however that is as good as it gets. The dish in general was very runny, there was just no flavour. Disappointed about this experience, however was gifted a free bottle of drink.

Ordered online tonight for pick up. The meat Ceylon was delicious. All good hot and tasty. Very reasonably priced. And free bottle of diet pepsi! Friendly staff. Definitely returning

I’ve been ordering from here for 30 years always enjoyed it but on Friday I had the worse meal ever, everything was disgusting and swimming in oil, over half the cartons were oil, the biryani was tasteless, my dad had it the same week and agreed with me actually we both couldn’t eat our orders

The chicken Korma was bad. The sag paneer was over cooked but tasty. Every thing else was nice. First time I had a bad meal from here.

Absolutely waste of money. If only i could give less than one star. My naan was uncooked. My karahi ghost was full of tomato soup and onions and even making request to have it cooked extra and spicy it was not done. Plz plz dont waste your money here. Its over priced already. for example 1 naan for £1.55 and still uncooked.

Most disgusting food ever I wouldn’t even give it a 1 star but there’s no option to give 0. The lamb biriyani tasted like boiled meat mixed with coloured white rice, did not even taste of anything just OIL! Ordered lamb bhuna & prawn bhuna was given lamb with vegetables. When I called to say my order was not what I ordered, I was faced with excuses, apparently that’s how they cook there food, Bhuna means no veg just meat or prawns or which ever dish you have ordered. There was no apology only excuses saying that I’m the first customer complaining over 50 years lol and told me he doesn’t care or me to go somewhere else in the future. They don’t need to worry about that I will certainly take my custom else where. Clearly this place does not have a business acumen or customer service. I never really write reviews but after the way I was spoken to, I thought I should write a review. And I also see I am not the first person to give 1 star for the appalling food and behaviour, I just wish I had read the reviews before I had ordered. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. THERE FOOD IS SO OILY & TASTELESS.

Arrived late. First time I tried and the last

Took 2 hours from ordering my food to it getting here like warm. When I opened it I had two naans missing so I called them back at after already calling previously to ask where my food was. The worst bit about it was I didn't get an apology and my naan breads didn't even turn up. I wouldn't of minded waiting if a the food was good and b it was warm it was neither avoid avoid avoid. If I could rate any lower then I would will never be ordering from this so called restaurant again.

Fantastic value for money :) Only recently moved back to the area so gave this takeaway a shot and was pleasantly surprised at how great everything tasted... Will 100% be ordering again soon!

Saag peerna was more like melted chedder chesse with tin spinach. The meat was hard not soft hard to swallow and the king prawn puree was so dry. I asked for less oil n food come fully loaded with oil every where. Nan bread was tastless
