Curry Express in Barking and Dagenham

It was my first time ordering from their restaurant and I just have to say that their food was really good. It arrived earlier than expected, it was yummy and tasty.

got my order an sooo much was wrong with it firstly no sauce with the chicken tikka starter secondly i ordered prawn ceylon but this was not a ceylon dish in my opinion this was just a plain prawn curry and not a very good one at that lastly my chapati was burnt. sadly wont be using them again will look elsewhere as this is not the 1st time but the second time i have had incomplete order.

Excellent freshly cooked and delicious curries, chicken rogan josh, lamb curry, king prawn curry, pilau rice, dall, spinach paneer had good quality and plenty of paneer. Absolutely recommended. All came packed to the brim and piping hot !!

Naga chicken was amazing. Madras lamb could have been a tad bit more spicy. Overall banging

There had been spicy food mixed with my chicken korma I couldn’t eat it .

I've had food from this restaurant before and it's been outstanding, this time however, I ordered my favourite, Jeera chicken. Always before it's been a dish packed with onions and green peppers, this time however it was a sad dish tasting like chicken had just been added to a basic vegetable curry like you'd get with a biryani. Don't get me wrong it tasted really nice, but not what I expected and not what I'd paid for. Disappointing from previously outstanding place. I'm guessing a new chef, I just hope the chef is not permanent and they go back to the previous one. I'll be giving them one more chance.

Starter and bread we’re great main curry was a bit watery and not hot enough more chillies needed

Ordered chutney tray only had mango chutney no pickles or lime pickle only had some sauces Looked like they threw left overs into bag

Been using this restuarant for years Set meals have changed. Money gone up alot and 4items removed . Also found a foreign body in our food today 😡

Great order again, Lamb Biryani was tasty, Lamb Saag flavoursome, Sheek Kebab was gorgeous. Two orders now and they seem pretty reliable so far.

All the curries were well made with good portions. Bombay potatoes is a nice touch to the meal too.

ONLY 5 pieces of chicken in the Dansak no bigger than a Brazil nut,and a small container of rice,for £7.80, it a joke, Dupiaza not much better, in future gonna cook it better and cheaper myself, never using this place again

Food arrived on the dot and was piping hot The vegetable curry was brilliant.The Tarkha dahl was cooked well but garlic needs to be roasted. The prawn puri was great but the onions needed roasting more. 1 complimentary pappadom a little disappointing but it needed fresher oil.

Item missing from the order. Main dish items are small portions compared to other takeaways.

I’ve always ordered the chicken tikka masala and rice option and it’s always been lovely, today however it left a puddle on my plate when served up this is proof it was previously frozen, you could not only see you could taste the difference, very disappointed

First time desi dahl trialled.It wss scrumptious but the garlic could be roasted more and be chopped much more finely plrase. The king prawn puri was tasty but hardly any prawns.It's our fave so let's have more next time. Pre order delivered with perfect timing by a very polite and friendly chap with a smile. The spring rolls are great too but could do with more filling.. A good dine in experience in the safety of our Covid safe home. Thank you 🥴

Regular customer and completely dissatisfied. Had 3 chucks of chicken in my curry. The drinks were completely wrong. Customer service was terrible “because it so cheap we only give half a curry”. Shocking.

the chicken dansak was the best i have had, garlic naan was awesome, samosas a bit small but tasty, wife loved the chicken korai, and got free bombay potatoes, this has gotta be the best indian takeaway in dagenham, p.s thanks for the drink

Tarkha dahl & channa masala were very hot & tasty but required more spice & onions to be roasted more.The garlic was better roasted this time. Prawn puri was also lovely & hot but needed spice & onions roasting more. Not enough prawns as large puris took over the container. Thank you for the 2 pappadoms but they tasted of old oil which is not good for our health. It was lovely all items came piping hot; to include the pappadoms. The delivery man was polite and friendly too.

I was disgusted with my experience. I ordered my delivery at 5.45pm. Just-eat said it would come between 6.30-6.50pm. At 6.20pm, just-eat reported that the food was on it's way so why did it take 1 HOUR before my food arrived at 7.20pm? I had to call the restaurant 2 times to ask them for an update on my food because just-eat said the food had been delivered by 6.50pm and it hadn't. By the time my food arrived, of course the food was cold but worse than that, it was tasteless. I don't know what "lamb" they gave me but it wasn't lamb. The rice and curry needed salt, it just wasn't good. The food was not worth the ridiculous wait so I shall definitely not use them again.

Lamb biryani wasn't all that didn't taste like lamb to be honest. Vegetable curry watery not nice. Garlic nann dry was expecting to have some sort of garlic butter on. Mint sauce is bright green but nice and papadoms was nice. I wouldn't order from here again sadly.

Food was really good. Unfortunately the shami kebab was out of date. It had that weird smell

used to use these a few years ago, but stopped because the portions got tiny, don't know if the're under new management, but the portion size is good now and the food was great, will use again in the near future

Where to start... Portion sizes were small, everything was cold within minutes, soggy poppadoms, dry chicken, and very greasy food. Delivery late even though I live close so no excuse for lateness or cold food. No one feels full, nearly £30 of food for three plus baby and all still hungry. Waste of money

Food is amazing and not too greasy. Great value for money. Lamb Balti is very tasty and has a great portion size. I ordered quite late around 10:00PM on Black Friday and it was busy so they forgot one dish but I called the restaurant who were very fast and nice and it was rectified within 10-20 mins and delivered back. The person who delivered it even offered to give something free if we leave a note on our next order as an apology. Great customer service and great food.

A good service. Nice food. The butterfly kind prawn wasn't what I was expecting. It was like beaded fish cakes/fritter with a prawn tail hanging out. Not worth the price. Would probably get a refund on that if I could. Other than that. A good dinner.

Late and barely warm, very dissatisfied

I love the food , but they keep getting things wrong ,or forgetting items you have paid for. This has happened meany times. So I will never order from curry Express again. And I probably wont use just eat again ether

Lovely food... Decided to try the cheese pakora, not a fan, tho I did like the chicken pakora. Might order that again. Loved the keema rice, new fav. Making my way down the menu 🤭

Ordered here now 3x in the last few weeks...I honestly can't fault it. The level of spice (heat) that they put in is just right for my palate, which is I don't like spice so. The aloo Gobi especially is just perfect. Cooked right and arrived hot.

First time ordering from here: Delivery was on time. Food was hot and yummy. Only thing I would suggest is adding a few more pieces of meat/chicken to the portion as it was more sauce than the actual chicken/meat. Other than that I really enjoyed it and would order again :)

It took 1 hour 25 mins to arrive , from ordering . Food is nothing like Indian food , the only nice thing was popadums , I’m not at all happy with the food or delivery . They can’t have a tandoor oven , tandoori prawns seemed microwaved , curry more like tasteless soup , no spices used at all . This is not Indian food , it was awful . I left it late filling in this because I was so angry , I totally wasted my money !! Never , ever again !!

Food is usually really good from here, however they always deliver late and this time the food was cold and for some reason left a lot of water/oil on the plates from the sauces.

Having tried many Indian takeaways in the area, I have now found one that really is excellent. Everything was so tasty and this is now going to be my go to for Indian food.

Meal was lovely, but I didn't like the tikka curry because tasted like I was eating korma not tikka as the sauce was strongly of coconut, and I don't like coconut. Samosas were small for the price. But overall I liked the freshness and everything delivered hot and good portions.

Sir, you're food is delicious cooked in my preference of "bengali style" and I humbly thank you for your genorisity:) My only gripes is the small slices of lamb! The chicken tkka pieces inside the curries were in my honest opinion and quite fare to say on the small side :( The filling of keema and tikka on in my naan breads was non existent! A few tweeks, here and there and you'll most certainly have people queuing to eat your curries and authentic gravy base. WELL DONE
