Absolutely lovely gastro pub, delicious food, superb selection of beers/Ciders/wines and a decor that looks like it was designed by an interior designer... Wonderful helpful staff and the beautiful dog Poppy is the star of the show
Owner, staff, food, take out experience, everything was beyond expectations. This was my first time but I want already order more. Congratulations on running a restaurant like few do
The prices have drastically increased over the past couple of months for dinning in, the service charge is now also automatically applied to the bill which wasn’t the case before. We have been coming here for years, it’s been our go to Indian Restaurant including regular takeaways at least once a month, but as a family we won’t be able to afford to anymore as it’s now very expensive which is a shame.
We dropped by for dinner while visiting the area from Kent. This is one of the best, if not the best, Indian restaurant experiences we've had (and we've had a few believe me!). The food was so fresh tasting, absolutely delicious and the staff were friendly and polite. Honestly couldn't ask for more, what a fantastic restaurant. Will definitely be coming back next time we are close by.
Lovely Indian food, everyone really loved the curry they chose we had Rohan Josh with lamb, chicken tikka and chicken korma. Garlic Naan and onion bajis were fantastic! Highly recommend, best Indian around New Malden. Mango lassi also delicious!
I’m a huge fan of the Melissa in Edgware so I thought to try out the harrow branch. The food was decent and tasted fresh and the service was generally good. But the staff need some additional training. I had a pram and was alone and coming into the restaurant the waitress could see me struggling with the pram but stared rather than come to help me by opening the door. The same happened on the way out. Again, I wouldn’t be too bothered if they are busy but only 3 tables were dining. The staff were just standing on the side but no one helped me. That left a bad taste in my mouth and I would not return. I think they are also pricier than the Edgware branch.
I am rather critical and picky at restaurants! But this place surprised me very much! Looking quite small, dark and dingy but the food was exceptional. Even my relatives who are also rather hard to please were impressed! We ordered the fish, aubergines, massaman curry these were outstanding and delicious. Plain noodles for the kids, salt and chilli squid and then salt and chilli tofu was very flavoursome. Am definitely returning here the chicken coconut soup was particularly delicious though the chicken pieces were very tough, dry and chewy I didn't eat the chicken but interestingly this did not ruin my experience as the soup taste was magnificent. I was pleasantly surprised that the huge chunks of chicken in the curry were actually moist, succulent and almost melted in the mouth - total contrast to the thin strips of chicken from the soup!
I really liked this place!!! Can't wait to return!
Really nice local restaurant, great service, very friendly staff and tasty food with lots of classic dishes and a few interesting unique items on the menu!
I live close by and will definitely be going back!
No doubt food is good, fish was crispy just like how I like it, fish cake was done to perfection aswell but the portion size of the medium chips is a total rip off in comparison to how much you pay. If compared to other chippy's the medium portion is not even close to small from other shops, hence 3 stars, wouldn't come again as I feel it's not bang for your buck
Un gran restaurante tradicional en el West End. La comida es de alta calidad y las mesas colocadas a una distancia razonable que permite conversaciones de negocios sin temor a escuchas.
The best fish and chips and lots more on the planet. Sam is a "Chef".
Clean and fresh oil too.
Sam and Julia are incredibly lovely too.
Keep up the great work!
