The best restaurants in Oulton Broad Waveney East of England

We all enjoyed the evening good food attentive staff not kept waiting friendly Only criticism when we received the bill there was a extra charge of £34ish on the bill questioned this and was told it is the vat as not included in the price we were not aware of this but was told it is on the menu When looking at the menu again it is written in the top left hand corner of the menu which none of us saw as we were just looking at all the meal options avaliable So a dish that i chose which was £17 pounds will actually cost £20 40 I think the staff should tell you about the vat as it is misleading or revise there menu prices accordingly to include the vat As i have never been to a restaurant before where they do it this way

We have used this restaurant for years for dine in a takeaway, supporting them all through lockdown and beyond but will now never use them again. Arrogant and inconsiderate would be kind. The last two takeaway meals we ordered have been late, cold and partially inedible, the lamb being so tough I couldn’t even cut it let alone eat it. No apologise and made to feel an annoyance. The latest meal to night was late when telephoned told you ordered something different and would be there in 10 minutes. Delivery driver said the order he had in the car was sitting on the table when he went out 30 minutes ago and was till there when he got back and he was now delivering it! Our meal was cold and the lamb was too tough to cut let alone eat. Have learnt by experience not to bother talking to them as they never accept responsibility. Do not waste your money here

Quiet & clean excellent food great staff. Inside & outside seating also has mooring Iv been using the commodore for a very long time & there standards have never dropped.

Been here a few times and keeps getting better. Lovely bit of fish and chips along with fair prices. Can't go wrong ordering from here 👍

Best skate and chips in town. Staff very friendly, delivery driver a credit to them. Highly recommend.

Loved this Chinese but everything over cooked and changed curry sauce

After getting mugged off twice previously, I thought I'd give it one more chance to redeem itself. Well, I wish I hadn't bothered. 2 microwaved saveloys both split, what they call large chips, but I would call medium at best. And the best bit was the large cod which was6"" long and the same width and a quarter of that was batter. £14.70 for that. What a rip off, oh and they only take cash! I guess they don't have to declare it all. I'll never waste my money there again.

Terrible place, avoid at all costs! Went for a 50th anniversary function, room itself was dirty and very dated, furniture was broken and too much was crowded into too small a space. There was not enough room for party hosts to lay out buffet, as all that was provided was covered pool table pushed up against a wall, right next to one of DJ's Speakers so terribly loud. Room was far too small for the "allowed guests" which considering it was advertised for 100 and there were only around 50 - 60 people there was no room to move. Bar Staff were rude and aggressive, mostly absent from function room bar, so getting one of their massively overpriced drinks was a chore. Dj provided was awful, asked party host to tell guests to "f@#& off, as he was tired " at end of function, and music was at a level for a room 3 times the size, hes had to be asked to turn it down as people couldnt hear anything. Owners were Rude, Standoffish and refused to return function deposit as this was apparently an additional cost for Dj. So quoted price doubled effectively All in all awful pub, avoid at all costs
