The best restaurants in Thurrock East of England

I thought that I would use this Bangladeshi takeaway as it is opened recently. The takeaway does all of the ‘usuals’ however there are dishes that I haven’t tried before. So I ordered the Modhu Lamb which is chunks of Lamb with honey and mint mixed with baby new potatoes in a sauce. Wow what a tasty dish it is, superb. The other dish that I’ve never had is Niramish which is fried mixed vegetables with herbs. Another tasty dish. I also had a Keema Nan and mushroom pilau rice. I thought that on a very busy Saturday evening that I would be waiting ages but the food was ready and brought out to me within 10 minutes, so very happy with the service. Anokha has all the ‘usuals’ but also authentic Bangladeshi dish’s. The service was very good, the food was superb and plentiful and the prices very reasonable.

Texture, taste and appearance of these brownies are spot on and they have brownies in every form you can imagine 😁 I would definitely recommend to try them!

Ordered through Deliveroo, it was the worst meal I have ever ordered. The only thing that was hot was the rice, yet as soon as we open it there was a very strong smell, almost like it had been cooked days prior. The mac and cheese was disgustingly sweet, with spicy almost as though it had been mixed with sweet chilly. It was even reddish in colour. The oxtail was very very sickly, too much oil and too much browning use. My partner curry goat was mainly bones. I was sent a pot of salad instead of coleslaw. For myself my partner and my two children it came to just under £64.00. The tried the food and hated it too, which is very disappointing, as now at 6.50pm on a Sunday, I’m now having to go out and buy food to cook as all of it was uneditable as far as we are concerned, we’ve had quite a few didn’t caribeans. But this is by far the worst

Down to earth friendly honest service and food is great.

I walked in yesterday for the first time during lunch, staff was very welcoming. Good was delicious and I’m about to order agin today. I can’t fault in any way very satisfied

Best cafe in Thurrock. A proper decent breakfast, comes out hot and cooked fresh. Girls in there are decent. Plenty of parking just remember it’s cash only.

It was wonderful as the food was freshly cooked and very soft and delicious will definitely order again and again thanks !

After reading reviews I choose to go here as I'm not from the area, the food was not disgusting, it was ok but the Chinese takeaways in my area are far better so maybe my bar is very high, I gave 3 out of 5 because it's ok but not the best as others have said

Honestly best cafe in ockendon, the atmosphere is always amazing, John is the best cafe runner everand he’s staff are always polite. Service is always happy, #nobby (inside joke) wouldn’t go any other cafe in ockendon
