Great food excellent service and great staff

Azis was our main server and he was fantastic, courteous, chatty and professional. There was a live singer tonight and she was also phenomenal and interactive. The food was top notch as always, perfectly seasoned and hearty portions. No complaints - will be coming back!

Big portions, professional staff. The environment is too posh for daily eating but it depends on the sense of style.

Friday night dinner at the Kara. Expertly looked after by Aziz. Highly recommend to others. Outstanding food, great atmosphere.

£2.80 Service charges. WHY? I almost asked for everything I needed twice. This is way to not tell you the real prices before you order and to pay some of the staff salary

Food was fantastic. Customer service was excellent. Aziz and the team really accommodated my sister baby shower. Really recommend people to go and have a party and taste their delicious food.

Food was quick and delicious. Visible kitchen. Nice decor. Server took away my plate and cutlery so had to ask for it back. Barman also messed up drink order which apology was given and no charge. Very noisy place on Saturday evening a lot of birthdays. Parking is tight getting in and out as it is busy.

My girlfriend took me here for my birthday dinner as she'd been several times before and always had a good meal and good service. Today the food was fantastic but the service very poor. I don't think the usual manager was in. We received our bill which included the service charge and paid cash we was then asked if we wanted our change ........ maybe we could have asked if they wanted their bill paid in full 🤔 such a shame as the chef clearly does a great job. Will be going to friendlier turkish restaurants in future

I organised a baby shower for my friend in the restaurant and it was absolutely amazing. The ambience was superb 👌. The food was so delicious and tasty😋. The coctail and mocktail👌👍.We really enjoyed ourselves. Onur was assigned to our table and he did a great job looking after the guest. Omar the restaurant manager did very well with his job. Ive been here well over 20 times to eat and it’s always very good when it comes to the food! however it’s really worth noting that the waiters and staff are a massive let down… every person I take in here complains endlessly about being so rushed through the meal it’s embarrassing. None of my friends or family that I take here want to come back, and it’s understandable because it is so annoying to be asked over and over again by several different waiters one after another if you’re ready for your main when you only just got your starter, You can see people aren’t even half way through their food and you try to take it away ?! I sit down and not even open the menu and I’m being asked what i want. I say can we have a few minutes to decide or no we are still eating etc and literally a few seconds later asked again. We asked for more ice a few times and the waiter brought over a massive bucket of ice (which was great because we wanted the glasses full of ice, not just 2 cubes in each) but then he stood there with the bucket plopping one ice a cube in the glass at a time as slow as possible instead of just leaving it to us to do, waiting for us to say stop as if he was paying for the ice out of his wages or something. The waiters hang over you, staring, constantly touching and taking things from the table and rushing you along. This is what happens every single time I am here. I look passed it because I love food but I am running out of people to bring with me which is why I leave this review. I can see many others have the same thoughts on this service. It’s very busy in the evenings but not busy enough because the pushy service is still the same, the only difference is you can’t hear a word they are saying because it’s so ridiculously loud in the evening lol. Anyway we get that the table is only for 2 hours but I don’t know anywhere else that treats you like this it really isn’t a good night at all when service is like that, we wouldn’t be there longer for 2 hours with normal service so I don’t understand why this is happening aside from getting double the amount of customers by getting everyone out within 1 hour instead of 2.! Oh! There was also an occasion when I asked for mash instead of chips with my steak and the waiter got very funny with me, I said it wasn’t a problem but he was already not happy about my request and clearly felt like he should honour my mash meal but not without first getting very close to my face and shouting at me that this would be the one and only time i will be able to swap my chips for mash lololol it was very bizarre !

Wonderful experience with my wife last night at The Kara, Great food, and amazing atmosphere with some incredible decorations. The service was top notch as we were served by Murs who made us feel so welcomed and constantly asked if we needed anything, everything was on time as we broke our fast during this Ramadan. Thank you for a blessed time and would definitely recommend ✨️

I've been to THE KARA a few times, and I've always loved it... but I was extremely angry to hear that... ALL THE TIPS from the EMPLOYEES GO TO THE OWNER of the restaurant in the POCKET. DON'T leave any TIPS AT ALL. When you pay the bill, remove the service charge from the bill because it's not fair to enrich the boss on the work of the employees.

Wonderful. I have been here many times with family. Today we did a work lunch for 11 people. We pre-ordered because of time restraints. I recently visited Kara Lounge to celebrate my sister’s 20th birthday, and I couldn’t have been more impressed! Despite the place being incredibly busy, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and ensure we had an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Lamb shish and Adana were very very tasty, I was very impressed. The bread and chili/garlic sauces served were so good that I was full before the mains arrived. Also I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about ordering steak, thinking it might not live up to my expectations, but I was completely blown away. It was hands down the best steak I’ve ever had—cooked to absolute perfection, tender, and packed with flavor. Every bite was a delight! The atmosphere at Kara Lounge was vibrant yet cozy, making it the perfect spot for a special occasion. My sister had an unforgettable birthday, and we all left extremely happy. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and an all-around fantastic dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Don’t write a proper review much but had to for this place. Best steak I’ve had full stop. Service was 10/10 staff were friendly special shout out to Murs and Aziz, checked up on us regularly. Defo would recommend. Got Australian Rib Eye Steak as my main.

Quiet but can get busy during the evening. Child friendly. Felt quite uncomfortable when staff had nothing to do so they kept staring and looking for help when it was not necessary. Nevertheless they are friendly but can get too friendly at times. Food itself was not so bad. You cannot go wrong with Turkish food. The adana kebab came a little cold and the shish was a little chewy and hard, could have been on the grill a little longer. Had asked for a surprise birthday cake but didn’t get it and was about to get charged for it on the bill when i reminded them they forgot about it. They had apologised and brought it out afterwards. Little disappointing. Probably wouldn’t go back.

I’m not giving one star because of the overall food quality, which was decent. I’m giving one star because a restaurant should never deceive customers by listing items on the menu that they don’t actually serve. I ordered a “Mozzarella Di Bufala” as a starter, but they brought me a cheap pizza mozzarella instead, nothing like the authentic Italian buffalo mozzarella, which would’ve been much more expensive for them! This is misleading, and advertising one thing while serving another is simply scamming customers. Check the picture. If you know, you know. People aren’t naive!

Lovely venue but the waiter serving was miserable and when asked why’s the food taking long kept giving blunt replies. Food came but was dry and over cooked the lamb was chewy and the kitchen was rough. Won’t be back again sorry.
