We were walking along the street on a Friday evening and heard the folk music so popped in. I wasn't sure what was going on but it was a folk evening where people come along and play ad hoc. We weren't sure if they sold alcohol but they had an extensive choice and we ordered two martini's which were lovely and good value. I had a coffee which was lovely . The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly.

Our meal, drinks and the general ambience were fine. However, I was horrified when I had to visit the Ladies toilet facility. First of all, the wall-mounted radiator was more rust than metal, and I'm guessing based on its current rust state, must have been in situ for 20 to 30 years. Something else on the wall alongside, presumably the electric hand-drier but I can't recall for sure, was nearly as badly rusted, and together it gave the whole bathroom set up a real shabby feel. I then checked the 2 toilet cubicles so I could choose the one that looked best for use. Both toilet seats were barely attached to the bowls. Both were slipped off to one side, and when I tried to straighten one prior to gently sitting down on it for fear of slipping off onto the floor, the whole seat also slid forward from the back. I think it was held on by good-will more than anything practical. The sink/sinks were fairly clean but the taps harbored much mold and limescale around the bases. I really cannot grasp why businesses, particularly food establishments, find it so hard to keep clean and in good and safe working order these basic but much needed facilities. What's the point in expending effort in your dining room and bar, with good food and decent staff, if you don't then pay a bit extra to keep the toilet facilities clean, fresh, modern and usable? Nearly every visitor will use that facility, so why not double the positive impact by their impression of the bathroom facilities rather than completely negate any positives created by what they experience in the restaurant?

Very average experience. Staff seemed overwhelmed and stressed, subsequently the service wasn’t great. The food was obviously mass produced and very average. One dish was very salty and the bread was terrible. Overpriced for what it is. We wanted to try it but will not be returning- we will go to a proper curry house next time we want to eat Indian food.

Ordered kebab this evening(14/03/2025 no bread with it, two weeks ago I ordered and didn't get chilli sauce I'd ordered. Gave benefit of doubt last time as was Friday and probably busy ect. But to not have pitta bread this time is just ridiculous. I tried explaining to on phone that is twice in a few weeks they messed up . After offering two bread next time while shouting and whaling to other people in store (I presume) that I wanted what I ordered, they literally sent a delivery person 5 miles with just a pitta bread. 45 mins after first delivery. I'm sure delivery person was not happy. Neither am I with cold greasy kebab meat and salad, absolute garbage customer service and manners. The bit of meat I tried was actually nice very tasty. Just a shame about customer service and attention to sending orders out correctly

A tasteless fish and chips.. dry chips... had to fight to get a mug of tea. The outer kitchen (where the teas and coffees are made) looked in great need of a high pressure hose... The young woman that took our order was short, fat and spotty, totally unsmiling and dedicated to being unhelpful... grumpy and snappy when asked a direct question.. My partner ordered a salad.. a bland and tasteless salad. We were allowed mugs for our tea at the third time of asking... one was dirty.. What a disaster!
