The best restaurants in Willingham and Over South Cambridgeshire East of England

A lovely cafe with home cooked food. A hidden gem to be sought out, staff friendly and helpful and service excellent. Nothing too much trouble. Shelves of secondhand books, some rare and very old. Local artists sell and exhibit their wares in store. Handmade gifts to purchase. Prices reasonable.

Great spot to pick up light bites and tea: coffee/ or even a smoothie on your way to a walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Great breakfast rolls and coffee

My husband and I were delighted to find this restaurant in Willingham. We were new to Indian cuisine and asked the owner to bring us a sample of menu flavours. We enjoyed a fabulous meal of lamb, chicken, shrimps, veggies and naan. The bottle of Malbec we chose went perfectly with our meal. Our restaurant host couldn’t have been more gracious. We both highly recommend this restaurant.

Arrived to a warm and friendly welcome. Drinks order taken promptly and arrived soon after. We all had something different from the mains and it all arrived together after giving us ample time to enjoy our first round of drinks. The table was wonderfully set and spotless despite this being a busy and popular pub. The food was of an extremely high standard. The sea bass was delicious and succulent and was complemented by the fresh vegetables and the flavoursome sauce. It’s not often you see lemon bread pudding on the menu so this had to be tried. It was warm, sweet and delicious and went perfectly with pistachio ice cream. The best two courses I’ve had in years . If you’ve not dined here before then what are you waiting for!? 😋❤️

Today's Sunday lunch was ordered for a vegetarian (who likes lots of vegetables) and one meat eater. We hadn't booked and it was very busy. We were offered one of the few tables that were available. We had a table upstairs in the new part of the restaurant and it was very pleasant. Our drinks came very quickl, nice coffee and wine. There was a bit of a wait for the food because the restaurant was very busy but we didn't mind waiting as the food around us looked amazing. Our food was above expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The cheesecake is highly recommended. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Good value for money if you enjoy good home cooking.

After having spent £50 for a takeaway for 4, to say I am disappointed is an understatement. Shish kebab x 2 with no salad, no sauce, just meat, bread and a spoon of rice. Over cooked burger x 2, in a limp bun and half a box of curly fries. Not a nice feeling when you feel ripped off!

Came with my wife for breakfast. Coffee, food and service were great. Surprised by some of the feedback on here and I’d definitely take the plunge if you haven’t already done so! Will be back…
