We booked the Barn at Lot-25 for a pre-wedding event. Nikos and the Team could not have done any more for us, they were fantastic from start to finish! Having only tried the cafe for tea and pastries we were really not sure whether the venue was going to be suitable for a large party with specific dietry requirements but Chef Hayley did not disappoint. She was able to source specific meats due to religious requirements, catered for allergies and put together a fabulous asian/arabic inspired menu that had our guests coming back for more. We had so many compliments on the location, venue and food. I would highly recommend Lot-25 for any event. They are so accomodating and will listen to your requests - we will certainly be going back for future events.

We were recommended to visit by a friend and as we are not local we would never have known of its existence . We were greeted with a very friendly welcome and whilst we hadn’t booked we were sat at a table promptly. The service was excellent as was the food. My oat latte tasted amazing as did the cooked breakfast. It was presented nicely and piping hot. Would definitely visit again as the Sunday lunch menu looked great.

Very disappointed this time round ☹️ After having a lovely Sunday lunch here a few weeks ago we happily took our friends with us for Sunday lunch, after having raved about how nice it was. To start with, when we arrived, even though I had booked a table, nobody seemed to know were we were sitting. None of the staff appeared to know what they were supposed to be doing. Very disappointed with the food. Three of us had the beef which was fatty & chewy. The vegetables were hard. I asked for extra gravy & when it arrived it was like brown water. Not very nice at all As I live in Willingham I go to Lot 25 quite a lot in the week for coffee, & sometimes lunch & have never had an experience like this. Our friends weren’t impressed & I was a little embarrassed as we had recommended it. Hopefully they were having an “off day”. It’s a shame as I’ve been put off going back there on a Sunday.

Four of us tried the breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. We had a variety of the cooked breakfast, eggs Benedict and pancakes with bacon. All was very pleasant and the setting was very tidy, fresh and clean. It was quite busy for a Sunday morning which probably tells you all you need to know. Lost of on site parking. Would we return, yes.

Return visitors. Sadly disappointed on this occasion and unlikely to go back. Went for brunch. First two items we ordered were off the menu. We then waited 55 minutes for our orders to arrive. No apology or update. When I complained they replied that the kitchen was very busy…..not surprising given they have increased their capacity but apparently not their capability to manage it! Food was not very good. After such a long wait, one order was actually wrong and had to go back. One of us had American pancakes - he said they tasted like something out of a packet. Lot 25 you are getting too big for your boots and it shows!

I have dined here a few times because of the lovely food. Today the food was just as good. Stilton and walnut salad 🥗 unbelievably nice. But, the service, where to start. We stood at the door eventually I had to ask if we just find a table or wait. Find a table I was told, no problem. On finding a table we then sat, it was uncleared and sticky. Or though servers kept going past serving other people the table remained uncleared. Our server came after partner flagged him down, took our order and left. Table still uncleared. My drink 🍺 turned up, but my partners didn’t until we chased it. I had to ask for the Table to be cleared it was, but wasn’t wiped down so it remained sticky. My partners drink finally showed. When the food came it was placed on our table and we had to ask her for cutlery. there was no cutlery, we waited….waited and asked had to ask another server who got some. The first one finally came and I said sorry but we have been sorted now. Thing is I will go back because I love the food and ambience and I’d delete this if it’s changed. Basics of clearing away, tuning up with drinks at the same time. Serving food then walking off leaving no cutlery. Checking everything was ok. Is just basic stuff.

We’ve eaten here a few times in the last couple of weeks and each time has been an absolute delight. The Sunday brunch is very tasty and the lunch menu is great too. As far the cakes, outstanding!!! We were served by Nettie and each time nothing was too much trouble and such a lovely lady. Thank you Nettie you are a star!!!

Nobody acknowledged us upon arrival. We waited patiently to receive some service but staff just passed us by without eye contact or any polite gesture. Eventually I asked whether it would be possible to get some service. The response was unwelcoming, unhelpful and brusque . We left preferring to spend our money somewhere we felt welcome.

I have had very good food here before but today I was served a beef sandwich which was so full of fat and gristle that it was inedible. I complained and was given more beef which was equally inedible and was offered no more than the refund of the price of my coffee. I expressed my dissatisfaction but was told that was all they could do. I cannot believe that I was required to pay for inedible food This was in addition to being charged for coleslaw that was part of the meal Very poor

My friend and I visited Lot 25 recently. We are regular visitors , the setting is beautiful. Again in this visit, we noticed how understaffed Lot 25 is. But we received a warm, friendly welcome from Neave. She was wonderful . Despite being so busy, she was helpful and efficient- thanks Neave. The salads were delicious and so was the wine !

The service provided by Freya was exquisite. The best I have received in a rather astonishing long time and one which I will rather recommend to my fellow companions. Top marks Freya! You deserve a pay rise for your attentiveness to our table and your warm welcome to lot 25.

£9 pounds for 3 cold takeaway sausage rolls at 4pm. Rip off. didn't display the price either hence ended up buying it as the guy had packed already. His friendly attitude doesn't cool the pain of such waste of money.

Sunday lunch. Loads of well cooked veg and tender meat. Only criticism was the vast amount of thick (bland) gravy poured over the entire meal. Would have preferred a gravy boat so could choose how much gravy to have. Unfortunately the gravy dominated all the other flavours - other wise would have been a delicious Sunday Roast. At £20 a head I would have expected delicious (non-generic) gravy that compliments the meal. Sticky toffee pudding was to die for ! Lots of warm sticky toffee sauce and a light and delicious sponge , and some lovely vanilla ice cream ! Staff were lovely , service quick and efficient. Lovely ambience. Minor tweak with the gravy recipe / and a gravy boat and would have been top marks !

Always enjoy visiting here for something to eat and drink, usually breakfast items such as a bacon and egg roll, scrambled eggs on toast. Food quality is always very good, and I think the staff there are excellent. Polite, friendly and always very helpful. Visit about two or three times a month. We have bought plants, bags of peat or compost, and I like the collection of greeting cards for sale. Always good to spend the money accumulated on the Loyalty card.

We first visited about 10 years ago when our daughter moved from Scotland to this area. We went in and were immediately spotted by the host "Yes sir, what can I get you?" with a welcoming smile. I was unfamiliar with the local ales, and was invited to try a selection free of charge. "Are you eating" he enquired. "Then have a seat, I'll bring your drinks over and get your order". And so it has continued for about 10 years. A place to really enjoy. In 2 weeks this will end. I just hope that when we next return, the new owner can continue this service. In the meantime, thank you!
