No había luces encendidas en el exterior para indicar que el restaurante estaba incluso abierto. Había polvo de constructores por todas las alfombras dentro y los baños (solo puedo comentar sobre el de los caballeros) estaban sucios. El restaurante de abajo estaba cerrado y era claramente un sitio de construcción. Las escaleras a la planta alta estaban cubiertas de polvo de constructor y el restaurante estaba desnudo. Ningún intento de decorar el medio ambiente y lo peor de todo fue el hecho de que hacía frío helado. Era un ambiente realmente incómodo en el que comer. Nunca antes había tenido que mantener mi abrigo para tratar de mantener el calor. Mi esposa tuvo que pedir una silla nueva ya que la espalda de ella simplemente se cayó. El personal era tan atento como siempre y la comida era buena, pero no volveremos. Entiendo que también proporcionan comida para llevar, no pasará mucho tiempo hasta que ese sea el único negocio que les quede

Great food, one of the best I've had in 10y in the UK. We've had one of the best fish dishes ever, Seafood Cataplana and Ameijoas a Bulhao Pato. The quality/price relationship is HIGH. The neighbourhood isn't exactly pristine, but fortunately as soon you enter it's a whole different world, so very well worth the 1h trip from Cambridge. We will be coming back, no question!

I had a large doner meal, which was nice, but the chips to doner ratio was crazy. (I had a lot of chips with only a coating of doner on top)

Food was very very delicious especially salads.

I personally would have given a 3 out of 10 if we didn’t have Rachel the waitress we had. I would usually always rate Katana 5/5 but this is the first time we’ve done a bottomless brunch and never know anything so regimented. 2 different servers asked us for our drinks order about 10 mins apart and when they realised we had 2 drinks each on our table all hell broke loose. 3 different servers came to our table to tell us we wouldn’t be allowed anymore drinks until we have finished these drinks. They seemed quite worried and scared like they were in trouble 🤷🏼‍♀️ Rachel was amazing though, she was bubbly and interactive with us. She went above and beyond to chase up our drinks after waiting 20 mins in a bottomless brunch with no drink and no one coming to check if we needed one. Just felt very much like katana couldn’t afford for us to actually drink bottomless so we’re keeping tabs. Didn’t feel relaxing like I was expecting. Hopefully next time will be better

This place is so charming! You can see the original structure through out but rooms are modernized and cozy. The staff had been just amazing and super helpful. The locals come here to meet and it makes it feels so homey.

Based on two consecutive early evening visits, this is little haven with great beers; great for solitary chilling after a hectic day. Interesting symbiotic relationship with the Nepalese restaurant next door.

Very good portions, good pricing and lovely food, can’t go wrong
