Gold Shish Turkish Grill in Peterborough

No experience to report on as on arrival, it seems to be closed permanently 😕

I will always get my Turkish grill from here. So clean, hefty portions for the price and delicious. Mixed kebab is a staple of mine and has never disappointed. The restaurant is clean and tidy.

Best turkish place for great Turkish food.

Food was lovely but the Turkish pizza and chips were stone cold! The rice, kebab and bread were hot though so not sure what happened. Maybe the way they were packaged. It tasted lovely though and we couldn’t fault that just would have liked it to be warm at least.

Amazing value for money, amazing quality! Considering it’s a Turkish restaurant I was very surprised my meal came to under £10, for what was easily a £20+ meal. Incredibly generous sized portions. I got a mix of lamb and chicken! Both very soft, succulent and flavourful. 10/10

10/10. Best Grilled Salmon I've had. Fantastic portions. perfectly cooked and season salmon with Bugul rice. Definitely will be ordering again. BBQ wings are also delicious.

Some of the best Turkish food I’ve ever had. Everything cooked to perfection, generous portion size, I was only passing through Peterborough for work but if I’m ever around again I will 100% be back.

Wraps were cold and so was the chicken. Lady on the phone wasn’t professional and didn’t understand.

Metin Chef is the best around Cambridgeshire. I would highly recommend Adana kebab,if you are looking for delicious and authentic food.

Inspiring atmosphere and the staff was very friendly and helpful potions sizes were big and food looks appetising we got chicken donar and chicken iakandar with yohurt we liked the chicken Donor a lot and all get complimentary salt bred and a salad with the mains and the food os delicious drinks menue should be updated not much choice I should have given 5 out of 5 if there were good selection of drinks

Used to be 5 star food, like most new restaurants quality drops a few months after opening. Now lamb and chicken are old tasting. Lamb is gamy and chewy. Chicken has an old taste to it. Salad and bread provided with every meal used to be of much better quality. Before the salad tasted way fresher, better ingredients ect. Also before they used to let you swap the rice with chips. Now the rice is mandatory and you have to buy chips separately. Unfortunate because their rice is absolute garbage. Rice and couscous came out cold on the plate. This was my most favourite Turkish in all of Peterborough. Now it's another garbage Turkish restaurant with old meat. 😭

I can eat that Lamb Adana Kebab every day it was so delicious

Sea bass was overcooked - burnt at the bottom and over salted - unable to eat-waste it. Chicken was salty as well. Kofte and lamb was good.

Wow.....i found this place online and read the reviews and took a chance. Honestly the best kebab ive ever ordered. I had the Lamb Shish and the meat was beautiful. Large succulent grilled pieces of Lamb which came with a delicious side of rice, salad and bread. It was so tasty, great quality ingredients and a good sized portion. Delvery was quick and friendly. This place is a real gem

I never leave feedbacks but this place is my favourite one since first time. I absolutely love their food! It’s literally the best place in Peterborough! I live in Peterborough many years and i always struggled to find really good take away. Always had issues with my orders till i tried Gold Shish! The food is always fresh and delicious! Good portions! Worth every penny! I go for their special one and it’s a really big portion. The staff is very friendly and kind. Never waited to long for the food , also delivery guy is polite and friendly. Really appreciate guys 🫶

Lovely food really enjoyed it, but it was cold indoors need a good hot air blower on top of the door. Overall we had a good time very polite friendly people.

Now that’s an authentic Turkish kebab. The meats are really nice and tasty. Fresh salad and the rice was perfect. Chips were hot and fresh. All served with some lovely bread. Perfect. Reminds me of holidays in turkey,but right here in the boro.

Great food for a Turkish Grill takeaway

Very nice place for lunch and dinner. The owner is super friendly, the place spotless clean but the best is the food! We came twice in one day. We have lamb ribs, baba ganoush , halloumi and lamb doner wrap, super fresh and delicious! Highly recommended

We have not finished all food but been provided with boxes to take it away x We took chicken shish, which was so juicy ! Also a chicken doner wrap 🌯 that was huge ! I have been using Gold Shish restaurant since it has opened. I highly recommend to all the people in the community to attend or order online their food and deserts. They have variety of food to choose from and certainly meets my dietary needs too. You can attend with friends and family. Their online delivery is also excellent as they arrive on time. Gold Shish staff are also very professional and provide high standard of customer service. Excellent and very clean environment in the restaurant to 100%.

After arriving in Peterborough we found this delightful Turkish Restaurant. People are absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful. We had the special grill mix which was delicious, different kind of meat with salat on side incl two types of homemade sauce. Absolute stunning food. They gave us the rest + extra kebap as takeaway Sadly we leave tomorrow, but we would definitely come back. A highly recommended restaurant in Peterborough. Food, Service and Ambient 5*

Made the food cold because of the late delivery

Had food taken away from here tonight and honestly this is one of Peterborough’s best grilled food!! Honestly the meat is juicy, the chicken is tender and the ribs are succulent! It’s always a great experience dining here, will definitely be back again for more! Oh and the service is beyond lovely, I ordered it for ASAP pick up and it was done in less that 20 minutes, called the restaurant and told them that I was going to be late and they told me that it’s not a problem at all, went to pick up the food 20 minutes later to my surprise the food was actually hot and fresh! An absolute delight!

Best chicken doner in Peterborough!

First time ordering from here and all I can say is WOW!! If you haven’t ordered from here then I can’t express my recommendation enough! Food was piping hot, freshly cooked, the lamb melted in your mouth and the wings was so tender and juicy, the rice, salad and dips was also amazing! My new favourite place thanks guys :-)

Tried this place a couple of times. The place has a diner feel to it, and it is geared towards a takeway. On the last occasion we decided to eat in. It's clean, the food is great, the portions are large and the staff are friendly. Definitely recommend it.

Food was banging but they forgot my drink

The food was absolutely delicious. The chicken shish was so tender and my husband really enjoyed the lamacun. We also shared a sucuk and Helem pide, which was so yummy our children stole a couple of bits. Would definitely order again in the near future.
