Excellent food, service and value for money

We booked a table for 7 people for a birthday celebration on Sunday at The Queens Head, Tolleshunt D’Arcy newly opened carvery … The food was exceptional. There was a superb choice of meats , all cooked to perfection with a wide selection of delicious accompaniments…. Eat as much as you like therefore, exceptional value for money. The staff all made us feel so very welcome and nothing was too much trouble with the added advantage of a fantastic atmosphere. We would highly recommend. What a lovely pub this is. We come here quite a lot and enjoy sitting in the beautiful garden with our 2 lurcher dogs. The staff are always attentive and friendly, the landlord keeps a very good cellar for the real ales. The food is presented and cooked really well. Todays special Hake with cockles and sanfire on new potatoes in a creamy sauce was devoured by my partner. I had the excellent cajan chicken. The pub is a little off the Beaton track but certainly worth a visit.

We had a lovely roast dinner which included homemade yorkshire puddings, loads of different vegetables and lovely gravy.

Just moved to the area so decided to give this a try. Glad we did. Food was really tasty, great selection, our Chicken Tikka Naga being the star turn. Plenty of it too. We had delivery (decent discount applied, thank you) and it was delivered quickly and professionally. Will definitely be our go to Indian for the future.

Called in today for breakfast, not been in here for a very long time as previously they were having staffing issues. Well today there was four members of staff all working hard, food and drinks ordered collected our drinks and sat down. Food arrived in a timely manner all correct and tasted lovely, nothing not to like. To sum up, friendly helpful staff, nice food and drinks at a reasonable price, venue was clean nothing not to like well worth a visit.
