Excellent food, service and value for money

Friendly local with good selection of beers and excellent food. We stopped for lunch and the sandwiches were great.

Honestly the best place for a Roast. The roast potatoes are the perfect crispy and fluffy, loads of veg. and. The. CHEESECAKE!!!! OMG!! Its the BEST! Highly Recommend!!

Beautiful frontage, the flowers are colourful and look stunning. The garden is lovely too with seating outside. There is a duck pond with ducks and chickens in a coup. Sunday roast can be highly recommended. Not only is it great value for money, it is very tasty with generous portions. Sticky toffee pudding and cheese cake are highly recommended too. A happy find on our way home from a weekend away. It was a perfect end to our weekend. Well worth a visit.

We had the pleasure of attending a wedding at this venue / pub a couple of weeks ago , the food was amazing, the staff went above and beyond to help out with everything they really could not do enough to help and make it an amazing day for the bride and groom and their guests for the day , a truly amazing venue and staff

Visited today with a U3A group. The food was excellent and served by friendly helpful staff. Good choice of ales so well worth the visit.

First visit to this lovely country pub. Traditional food is excellent and locally sourced, and I can't recommend their pies enough, and they sell Guinness, that ticks most boxes for me :-)

I came here with my family yesterday. We had such a great time the food was delicious! The waitress was amazing she really went all out to make our family meal special! Thank you! I highly recommend this pub looking forward to coming back soon.

Lovely old pub in the centre of the village. Good pub grub and a reasonable selection of cask beers. Nice atmosphere. Well worth a visit but book as its busy all day long.

We went here at 12.15 on a Thursday lunch time. The place was very clean. It had a nice garden area outside. The food was lovely. The lady that served us was very accommodating and helpful. Will definitely go back.

2nd visit to the Bell Inn. This time with the RREC car club. Best Brie served here. Last time as starters and this time with chips. Very large portions and first class quality. We will be returning soon.

No tab offered for drinks, salty service and then the power went out and owners made sure all the tables had candles...apart from the table we were sat at 😄 sat 6ft from the bar for 3 rounds and had to pay everytime blimey its not 1935 in Uganda

I booked our lunch on impulse for my mums birthday. A total leap of faith but an incredible experience with most delicious food served to out table with such a friendly waitress who couldn't do enough for us. I rate this restaurant Top class and will be back more often. Thank you for making my Mums birthday a memorable meal and celebration.

Had Sunday lunch here for the first time today. Lovely pub, cosy but tidy, and immaculately clean. Food is very good, home cooked food. Everything we had was delicious. Roast beef or turkey came with lots of fresh veg as well as crispy potatoes and all the trimmings! Lots of other options on the menu too. Deserts were too good to miss, including a pear and ginger crumble which was full of fruit. Tables were placed apart so you had plenty of space. Service was very good and friendly. Such a lovely pub, traditional and yet not musty. Really loved it and look forward to going back. Highly recommend.

A lovely country 'local' pub. What more can I say apart from, staff make you feel welcome, the food is excellent with some ingredients grown on site. Loved every minute of my visit and will definitely be calling in again.

Found this beautiful friendly pub in the Brit stops camping book. The owners allowed us to stay in our camper van in the field at the rear. They were so friendly , we had a lovely meal outside in the garden. The food was excellent & social distancing measures great. Would thoroughly recommend.

Quiet and quaint pub, staffed by polite and friendly people. The food was delicious and served quickly. We shared a sharing starter between three and then had individual mains (macaroni cheese, garlic mushrooms, hunter's chicken), but the portions were substantial and we didn't have room for dessert. There was a good range of ales and wines. I would thoroughly recommend it and would happily go again.

Excellent food attentive service with a real old village pub feel.

We have been going to the bell for some months now mostly on a Friday night . Food always great ,pies are outstanding and recently the lamb dish has been a good contender for first place. A very friendly pub to spend a relaxed evening in, a feeling of being amongst friends. Long may it continue. Round two ,booked in for the pubs first Tapas night today. Usual great standard of food and service I hope it becomes a regular feature, 😁 We have been going to the bell now on most Fridays for a meal. A couple of weeks ago we had our usual meal paid the bill and went home. The following week we returned, the manager came to us at the bar and gave us some money. When I asked what it was for he said when they checked their bills it was noticed we had been given the wrong bill and overpaid so they were correcting the error. This was a first and I was very impressed, if only the world was more this way.
