We had the perfect meal here to celebrate our anniversary (26 years, how have we done it, hahaha). We arrived and enjoyed a glass of sparkling wine and the padron peppers (they were amazing) while we considered what to have for dinner. We didn't feel rushed to order, and the service was excellent from the young members of waiting staff. I had the chicken & bacon pot pie with mash and my wife had the Pork dish. Both were exquisite 👌 We were sorry we didn't have dessert because tge option looked amazing. I really enjoyed my visit and i look forward to returning. I reckon this restaurant could offer a monthly Jazz evening with a set menu midweek, if the owners are reading this then please consider some events.

Great selection of dishes offered on the menu. Old favourites and some less known dishes. The Food was all very tasty and well presented. Enjoyed by all in our party.

I will start this long and concise review by stating I've been in the hospitality industry. We came here pre booked as a table of 9, including 3 children at 3 pm on a Sunday. This was for my mother in laws birthday. Now the reason I say this time is because by now the kitchen had run out of several key components of their roasts and other main menu items such as beef and mashed potatoes. This considering the place was completely dead at this time. Why is the kind of chef that can not ensure they have ordered in and prepared these items that are vital components should wander down to McDonald's where someone with more experience will handle that for you whilst you're flipping burgers. Most of the remaining menu items are just thrust into the microwave or deep-fried without soul or care. Our starters took a full 50 minutes to be served, we had enquired earlier why it was taking so long as the kitchen had no other orders to prepare and was informed they were just being plated up. Still took another 20 minutes to produce these 5 starters! I'd chosen the salt and pepper squid that contained neither salt nor pepper! Bland would be an understatement. The rest of the meal was no less a long awaiting for poorly presented mess. It's clear the chef has no passion for food, and I'm certain wears a plaster on his microwave finger from overuse. The food was bland, overcooked, and under prepaired. The lamb Shank looked as if half the meat was missing, the hunters chicken was overcooked and dried out, and the beef bourguignon had no red wine, making it a tiny piece of beef stew. The list of disappointed meals went on. I can honestly say this is the single most disappointing meal I've had the misfortune of being served (eventually). I will not return and would recommend others avoid.

after starting a new job i needed somewhere to stay for 3 days for a trip to my new head office. The Kings Arms were perfect. i booked a deluxe room out the back as i also had my 2 dogs with me. The road out the front of the pub is very busy but the rooms at the back were just great. quite, very clean and perfect being able to let the dogs play in the garden. Breakfast was just lovely. I liked it so much i have re-booked for another work trip

2 night stay in a fabulous room. Spotless and everything thought of. Comfy bed and great bathroom and lovely breakfast basket. ......but.... First night there was a karaoke, we were ok with that in the room below us...finished at a reasonable hour. Second night a party.... At 12.40am the volume was reduced but continued on beyond 3am really not ok.....

We went for lunch takeaway as we always do, asked for a bagel had run out of those that’s fine changed it to a sandwich asked for coronation had ran out of that lady apologised not a problem I said I needed to try something else anyway. Ordered some cakes, didn’t wait too long for our order. This is our 3rd time we’ve had a takeaway lunch our first one was definitely the best hence why we wanted to go again sandwiches were lovely really enjoyed the salad and coleslaw and the cakes were yummy. Second time we didn’t get any salad or coleslaw with our sandwiches and then my partner chose the massive doughnuts that they do but it was solid hard like it had been sat there for few days so he couldn’t eat it. But this time it was my turn for the dodgy cake, chose a vanilla danish which I’m glad I didn’t bite into and had torn a bit off to bite because as I did I noticed mould in the custard. It just concerns me how long these cakes sit there for as it’s our second experience of a cake like this. It’s a shame. I did take the pastry back and get my money back which was nice of them and the girl was apologetic, that’s why I gave a 3 and not lower.
