Maria's in Braintree

Visited last night with our friend for a curry it was excellent from start to finish .met the owner of the establishment and could tell how proud he was of the restaurant would definitely go back 👍

First time visit was not disappointed great welcome restaurant is really nice made really welcome food was absolutely fantastic bit well cooked and fresh will definitely be back

Amazing food and service, extremely friendly staff, best Indian around the area and home delivery also excellent, we are slightly out of the delivery area but they still came out to us and food was delivered hot and just as delicious as eating in.

What was once a pub with a cricket ground behind it has been completely modernised and is now an Indian restaurant, a very good Indian Restaurant ! Although we arrived late (we thought the booking was 30 mins later) we were assured it wouldn’t be a problem by friendly staff, although it was hard to see where we’d be seated as the place was rammed full ! Having never eaten there previously (just going on a recommendation) we whatched the dishes being sent to tables closely and everything looked amazing. Sure enough when we did order, each of us would happily eat any of the dishes, they were flavoursome without overwhelming heat, just very tasty. We will certainly be visiting on a regular basis

👏👏👏 Four of us eat in Maria’s Indian Dining last night. We all agreed this is the best Indian food we have ever eaten. All the staff were so busy but very polite and couldn’t do enough for us. Great atmosphere. It was buzzing in there with more and more people coming through the doors. We are obviously not the only ones who love it. Thank you so much to the owner Salem, to the talented chef and all the staff who looked after us. Congratulations on your achievement. Great restaurant! 😃

My husband was sick all night so something was off. The staff didn’t clean the table usual in Indian restaurants table covered with crumbs. We would not recommend or go again.

The best Indian restaurant in Essex! Food was delicious, the restaurant is beautiful inside and outside especially with the red carpet and Christmas decorations. Prices were really reasonable to which we didn’t expect considering it was very nice in there. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed straight away. Lovely family run restaurant so you won’t regret coming here! We will definitely be back for more!!

Superb Indian food in a newly refurbished venue Portion sizes perfect..not too big , not too small and a good selection of more unusual dishes on the menu. Service OK ..manager warm and welcoming . Not 5 star because the lighting is awful…far too brightly lit and a touch of TOWIE!! ( unless you like that sort of thing?)

Great selection of dishes offered on the menu. Old favourites and some less known dishes. The Food was all very tasty and well presented. Enjoyed by all in our party.

A warm and friendly greeting on arrival started our experience. This continued to a good service, freshly cooked food and drinks made our evening just perfect.

Had 2 takeaways and one meal in the restaurant. All meals were delicious. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The nicest Indian restaurant I have been in. Will definitely return soon.

Been here few a times now, Lovely restaurant, Lovely food and friendly welcoming staff. Prices reasonable for this day and age. Would recommend to all that love Indian cuisine.

This newly opened Indian is definitely a hit with our family . Fantastic resteraunt and car park is big . I eat a lot of Indian and Bangladesh food . It was very very good i met the owner and his chef my family were made to feel like Royalty . I suggest you try it out well worth the trip .

The food & service were good. The sound is terrible though. We couldn’t hear each other due to the music & noise from other dinners. They could probably improve this by adding curtains, carpet or something to absorb some of the sounds.

We came with our Daughter and Son in Law the food was amazing I have never tasted such delicious Indian food. The staff were very helpful, loved the position of it in the Countryside. Wished we lived nearer. Sue and David Green Brentwood Essex

We had a lovely evening. Starting with drinks outside in garden area facing west to enjoy the sunset. Then going into the bright and friendly restaurant to enjoy a fabulous meal. Staff were amazing and so friendly. Very attentive to whatever we needed. Atmosphere was great will definitely go back.

We had a great Wednesday evening at Maria’s. There is a great terrace for pre dinner drinks with beautiful views of the countryside. Inside the restaurant is modern and nicely decorated. The food is well presented and delicious. Service is friendly and attentive with Shaleem at the helm. We will definitely be coming back.

Visited Maria's last bank holiday with my family and had an excellent meal. A really comprehensive indian menu offering great variety and good sized portions. Attractive surroundings in the 'Half Way' between Kelvedon & Coggeshall and the service could not have been better.

Great to experience Maria’s for the first time. Delicious food and very friendly service. We will definitely be back. Our 11 year old gave the korma a thumbs up.

Not great. Cheap enough and certainly friendly, but just not very clean. Its attention to detail that matters. People notice the small things.....dried brown sauce on handle of cutlery, cups and saucers left on tables , bathroom skirting, and dark towel to dry hands with, rather than paper towels or hand drier ( who knows what has been wiped on them !). I'm afraid, I then wonder how clean the kitchen is!
