Moved to Newark in 2022 and found Angells the following year. One of the best fish & chips we've ever enjoyed. Don't ever go anywhere else now.

Christmas Day 2024 We were here again for our 2024 Christmas Day lunch. From the very booking and the eventual lunch the communication with the establishment was excellent. They catered for everybodies individual preferencies and also provided our 3 year granddaughter her lunch whilst we were having our starters, so she didnt get bored. And they didnt charge for her either. Oscars was busy but not rammed in. It felt homely. Food was exceptional. Too much as usual but everything well done and beautifully presented. Very well done Mitch Forster their amazing chef. Also all the hard working staff who pulled out the amazing lunchtime. They are all a credit to Oscars Inn. Please sort out the bllnds in the side room though. Would 100% recommend . Well done Thomas and his team. xx

Just after 7pm this evening I ordered a pineapple fritter and chips only to find out when my wife plated the food up that the fritter was a potato one. This, despite the person who took the order repeating back to me 'pineapple fritter'. Please get your staff to concentrate on what your customers have asked for.

A first class meal, without blaring music, you could really relax and enjoy the conversation . We both chose the steak and it was as good as any I have ever eaten.

Well the beer was nice but it's a bit run down, mostly frequented by locals, might be noisy.

Very hit and miss. Sometimes the coffee tastes okay and sometimes it’s bad - never experienced this at any other Costa. Doesn’t open early enough or stay open long enough. Waiting room attached to the cafe is miserable - cold and uninviting. Sadly the other cafe on platform 2 is even worse. I prefer to buy at Kings Cross where I know the coffee is good. Staff aren’t motivated, must be something wrong with the management
