2nd visit to this fantastic chippy, 2nd fantastic fish and chips Something so easy to get wrong and be very average, this chippy is certainly not average. Very good, we will definatly be driving across town to get another portion ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Visited this evening for the first time. Chips were the best I have ever tasted. The fish was as good if not better than Rick Stein's in Padstow. Peas great and wonderful curry sauce. All served very efficiently. Will definitely go again. Thank you very much.

Since finding this chip shop, i will not go anywhere else. The food is always amazing and good quality, the service is always up to scratch - a few new faces on the team recently and they’re all doing a great job. Well done Angells ☺️

Lovely fish and chips shop. Very friendly staff. I had the cod bits with chips. The flasks were really big and not greasy. Very clean shop. Wish I lived closer. Definitely recommend them.

We visited here this evening as previously visited 2 weeks ago and it was amazing. Although the food was nice tonight, something was missing. The food was just chucked in a wrapper so when we got home the fish was in bits. There didn’t seem as much care and attention as there was when we visited last time - maybe because the owners weren’t there? We could hear the whole staff conversation about going on a night out though!

Beautifully cooked fish and chips. The owner takes pride in his work. You can pre order on line for collection. Definitely the best chip shop in and around Newark. Always freshly cooked with wonderful light batter

The best chip shop in Newark by a country mile. Friendly staff and great food. I will return again and again and would recommend to anyone to do the same. Absolutely fabulosa!

The best fish & chips we’ve ever tasted, really fresh & such a fantastic variety. Staff are really friendly, cheerful & professional, we would highly recommend.

The food is excellent! Highly recommended! The Whitby scampi is also delicious! Will definitely use again and it’s only 5 mins from my house!

Very nice chips , & curry sauce also recommended the pea fritter ! but not happy about with staff need to slow down and be more friendly also make sure you have all your order !! Got all the way home and chips was missing

Beautiful fish cooked to order, in thin and very crisp batter. Tried the haddock and cod and both were equally delicious. Cooked to perfection. The chips were the best of the chip shop type, crisp on the outside but soft inside. Homemade tartar sauce and chilli jam were excellent. Worth mentioning that the serving staff were great fun, really helpful and efficient. We will be going again soon

Amazing place lots of homemade products and attention to detail. Mini fish special is great for a quick lunch and the hake special is great value
