The best restaurants in Nevill Harborough East Midlands

Absolutely superb Sunday lunch. Large dish of seasonal veg to share betwen us, and a large portion of meat on each plate, plus roast potatoes, 2 Yorkshire puddings and a large boat of gravy. Everything was piping hot and beautifully cooked. For afters there was a large selection of home made puddings, which were offered with custard, cream or ice cream to suit. The pot of tea was really good too. All in all an excellent meal for 2 for under £35.! Will definitely return, and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes good home cooking style meals, rather than tiny portions of artistically arranged food served on ridiculously large plates! The location is quite remote though, and my Sat nav didn’t identify the right building from the postcode, so it might be better to put in Stockerston Rd Allexton instead, and look out for the sign opposite the driveway. The tea rooms aren’t open every day, but the opening hours are on their website.

Expected a decent meal as so rated but this was the worse meal I have ever had - £110 for pork that was inedible - all fat - never going back there - utterly disappointed

Amazing little village but loads of choice. Super friendly staff. Order ahead or cooked fresh while you wait. My personal fave is a halloumi salad pitta

Basin in bathroom loose , no hair dryer when says there would be ,shower door needs sorting ,apart from that lovely room and friendly staff beautiful place to eat and beautiful place to have lovely party 🥳 🎉 😀 😊

Visited this for food for the first time on a Friday night, and won't be back. The place wasn't busy, and we'd pre booked a table for 7pm, we arrived just after 10 to7. Was shown to our table straight away. It then took 20 minutes for our drinks order to be taken, and another 5+ for them to be brought to us. Our food order was taken and just over 30 minutes was brought to us. The pizzas were very expensive for what they were, with very little toppings or flavour, which was almost £18. To be fair I've had better from domino's. The music was some awful jazz music on loop that we couldn't wait to leave from. Think the place needs an injection of customer service, or a visit to charm school, as there was no welcome or thanks for coming that we receive in every other place we go. Which is a real shame as its a lovely place.

The hotel is excellent our room was really lovely and there were a few little extra treats in there. Evening meal and breakfast were first class A wonderful stay.

I’m not sure I’ve ever had such a bad bar meal ever. It’s situated in the most lovely area, full of beautiful little English villages, really pretty and well kept and lots of local Inns, and we got a recommendation to go here, the service was good, our server was really helpful and patient with the children, but the standard of the food was incredibly poor. We had quite a long wait and my lasagne was perfectly square and appeared to be of the freezer variety with very little by way of taste or real ingredients. Two large fish and chips came burnt and almost inedible and the children’s meals were not noteworthy. Really surprised and disappointed. £94 for a family of 5. Would not recommend.

What a great find! We celebrated a birthday here this past weekend and cannot recommend visiting yourself. The food, service and venue were exceptional. When we booked they knew we were celebrating a birthday and put balloons and a banner above our table especially and even provided a complimentary cake at the end. We will definitely be returning

The cafe is permanently shut and has been converted to an outside bar only used in the summer. It needs to be removed from Tripadvisor. Fortunately, they still do a nice pot of tea in the bar
