We go there for their gluten free fish and chips. Amazing. Great service. Friendly staff. You won't be disappointed.

I work here so I'm a little bias. The food is brilliant, fresh, crisp and a lit healthier than expected. Service is pretty darn good but the atmosphere is let down by being within the heart of the Student Union. Eating amongst those studying and meeting up can be a little....unique. But I would eat here everyday if I could. 😁

First time I have ever visited this particular Harvester, I had come down from Cheshire to visit my son, his girlfriend , his baby daughter and girlfriend’s mum . My son knows how much I like harvester as we regularly visit at our local restaurant in Warrington. On arrival to this Harvester ,I was appalled at the cleanliness and the welcome as we entered the restaurant. I couldn’t help but notice how dirty the resaturant appeared and how many tables were not cleared away….we were sat at our table and were given time to order etc…. We were given our salad bowls and I went over to the salad bar, which was very messy and some items were not filled up. I was not overly impressed with the hygiene standards, I returned to the table and approx half an hour later our food order arrived! My order was incorrect as I had ask for it to be corrected, this was ovbiously an inconvienece, and I was made to feel as if I was being awkward…. Due to my grand daughter becoming tired, and me not being able to eat my food quickly, due to a digestion problem I suffer with , I asked if I could possibly have a box or a piece of foil to take my remainder meal back home in….where we usually go in our local town this is not a problem , but I told that there would be a charge for this privilidge?????? I agreed as I didn’t want to waste food that I had paid for in good faith! I asked for the bill, I had a voucher of 25% to use which also appeared an inconvenience. I paid and left, feeling extremely disappointed….not the usual service or standard I am most certainly used to! I felt this whole experience was not to my satisfaction. On returning to my sons, I checked out on the website to see whether a charge was stated for using a take out container….i couldn’t see anywhere that suggested there would be……… I checked my receipt that clearly stated 5 x10p for takeaway box. I only asked for one box, I received an approx 4 inch circular container with a plastic lid. Not happy and won’t be suggesting to others to visit this dirty restaurant! Please feel free to back my concerns….. xx

The staff are very welcoming however the food is overpriced and not at all up to any kind of standard, I except you pay more at hotels but a fish finger sandwich that would of tasted better with four Birds Eye fingers between the bread than what was put in front of me terrible, for £13 I was kind of expecting something that would of beaten my Birds Eye option .

Me and my friend ordered pancakes at the same time and hers came in about 10 mins, after half an hour we asked the staff why we didn't have 2 stacks and they hadn't put the second pancake through even though we paid for 2. The order then got put on the top and had to wait an extra 30 mins for it to come out even though it was their mistake. This meant Not very happy with the customer service unfortunately.
