The best restaurants in England

Absolutely the best restaurant ever!!! My family and I go every month for the pizza (which is incredible) and to see the owner, who is probably one of the nicest people I have ever met! He often gives us free fruit and is very friendly, especially to the kids. The atmosphere here is also wonderful!

Arrived in Holt on a Sunday and needed something quick and easy after a long drive. This place does really good pizza. It was delicious.

For videos Insta @Number63_bad Words can’t even express how upset and disgusted I am with the level of service and how myself and family were treated by this restaurant. After booking our reservation a week in advance me and my family were excited to try a local restaurant for my daughter 18th birthday. I have never experienced such bad service on all levels. They went above and beyond to ruin my daughters 18th birthday. We arrived at the restaurant at 7pm. We were a group of six, apart from us there was only one other solo customer in the restaurant. It took nearly 1 hour for use to receive our starters. The waitress seemed disengaged and unbothered about serving us, and had a attitude that she was almost doing us a favour. We were then told 30 minutes after ordering that one of our mains was unavailable and then waited a 30 minutes further for half of our mains to arrive with no sides. At this point my daughter and mother who had booked the restaurant, explained very gracefully how upset we were with the massive gaps between the food arriving and that 2 hours in we still hadn’t received our whole order. When had a booked karaoke afterwords and had to cancel it. The waitress explained that we should had sent our order in advance but at no point did the restaurant message to advise this. We were offered complementary drink which we refused as we were driving. But we’re constantly pushed on us and continued to refuse. By the time the last meal had arrived half of us had cold food, and there were still no sides. The vibe and meal was completely ruined at this point and my daughter left the restaurant crying in the rain. We left my brother to pay the bill, he paid for the starters and drinks only as we didn’t end up being able to eat any of our food. We were going to cut our losses and go back to my brothers to have the cake. But after leaving the restaurant we realised we’d forgotten my daughter’s gift’s so returned to collect them a few moments later. The restaurant refused to return the items accusing us of threatening them which was completely false. They said they were worried about their safety but continuously open the door insulting me and still refusing to return the items which contained a card with £800 in it. We asked if they could place them out side the door which they refused. We then had to call the police to assist us in getting her gifts back. While waiting for them to arrive a group of their friends turned up to continue intimidate us to leave without her gifts. One of them was a huge security looking male as you can see in one of my pictures. Once the police arrived after over a hour of waiting, they were confused to why they hadn’t return our items. And haded them over. We were then told we would be breathalysed as the restaurant had said we’d been drinking and wait a further 30mins for the machine to do that, which we obviously passed as this was another lie. I had baked that whole day a birthday cake which was not able to be eaten. And my daughter’s 18th that was meant to be a special moment of her turning 18 was completely trashed. I feel the behaviour of this restaurant was spiteful, revengeful and petty in reaction to us not being happy with the service. I have uploaded videos of what happened onto a insta account where you can see a part of what happened, I hope it’s enough to counter act the false accusations that they were the ones being treated badly and worried for the safety of their staff as you can see clearly that this is not true. Este lugar es excelente! Visitamos la mayoría de las semanas para el almuerzo o la cena. La comida es muy sabrosa y fresca. Disfruto mucho de la encantadora selección de encurtidos servidos con los currys. Las porciones son siempre muy abundantes y llenas. ¡Lucho por comer los currys de una sola vez! Definitivamente una buena relación calidad-precio! Los propietarios y el personal son muy amables y agradables para charlar. La furgoneta de alimentos ha sido una adición maravillosa a la comunidad de estanques de peces! Muy recomendable

We are so glad we came across this delightful food place in the Seven Dials Market, London. So very charming. The garlic bun is a special treat! The service was excellent!

Came with a friend for Valentine's Day lunch. Had seen them on social media and thought we'd try it out. We shared the meatball sub which was amazing. So tasty. Also had a white chocolate and raspberry brownie which was really good. I'd admit I'm fussy about coffee but their latte was perfect. Staff were lovely. Really helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Stunning food, really! Bravo, chefs! I've never experienced any stomach issues. That indicates that hygiene standards are very high. Thank you a lot!

We’ve visited here a few times as the dumplings are amazing. Can highly recommend the pork and Kimchee and the chilli sauce is a must. Very friendly service, look forward to our next visit.

I’ve driven past Mama’s Hut countless times, always too close to home to stop by. What a mistake that was! Recently, I decided to give it a try, and I’m thrilled I did. The burger stack caught my eye—the guy in front of me ordered it, and it looked impressive. But my heart was set on a simple bacon roll. Fate had other plans, though, as I ended up ordering Mama’s homemade beef burger. And let me tell you, it was excellent! The flavours, the juiciness—it was a delightful surprise. But that’s not all. I returned to sample more of Mama’s offerings. The chicken curry transported me back to my childhood—the familiar spices, the warmth—it was like a comforting hug. And then there was the jerk chicken with jollof rice and the fried haloumi wrap. Each bite was a burst of flavour, definitely worth the short drive out. Mama’s Hut is more than just a food stop; it’s a culinary adventure. The lovely hostess, the soulful music—it all adds to the experience. Next time I’m near the Brenzett roundabout, you can bet I’ll be making that two-minute detour to Mama’s Hut. We’ll definitely be going back! 🌟

Stopped by this stall and had an amazing hot dog! Very friendly service aswell, wish I lived closer so I could visit again.

Visited Nura mid morning and sampled a savoury croissant and Jordanian date tart accompanied with a mulled wine tea - heavenly! Great value for money but more than that, the atmosphere and cultural vibe created somewhere different than the standard norm of regular high street chains. A dresser full of blended teas are their specialty, put together by the friendly staff on site. The upstairs cosy seating area offers a great space for community events or quiet study. Loved it!

Found this little oasis by accident. Definitely coming back. The staff were very kind and coffee was great too. I enjoyed the gluten free Lichfields salted caramel flapjack.

So pleased we found this restaurant. The food was fantastic and the staff were lovely. We shared a selection of starters - garlic breads, olives and bruschetta. Our mains were a variety of pasta and pizza dishes. A few desserts too - the tiramisu was particularly popular. The house wine was good and the whole meal was great value. We will definitely be back

Amazing food. Very tasty and the service was very good too. Got recommended from a work colleague and will definitely be back again.
