Nestled in Leigh on sea we have truly a hidden gem. With great food, amazing service and fantastic prices I really was blown away. Leigh has a great coffee scene and for me Tea and Tiffin encompasses the very best of the local area. A perfect blend of a family friendly cafe whilst being able to cater for even the fanciest of coffee connoisseurs it can really do it all.
The biggest problem I have with Talk of the Town is that I struggle to walk past without buying something. The way Ken cooks his bacon and sausage on his griddle makes it the best sandwich in town.
If you are looking for a food truck for breakfast or lunch, it’s definitely worth a detour.
This place is a hidden little gem tucked away in the cemetery grounds on mersea road (located near to the exit).
The staff are always welcoming and happy to see you. (Many are volunteering so makes it that even more special).
I have attended two wakes here and both times was so impressed.
I also have had afternoon tea which was amazing and sometimes pop in for a lovely coffee and slice of cake.
Can’t recommend this place enough.
Absolutely awful 😣 chicken tasted and looked like it had been frozen for months
The wrap contained only large slices of white onion and large slices of soggy tomatoes! No salad at all
Chips full of grease….🤢

Omg the best Pizza ever. I have tried quite a few now and my favourite is the capresse. Although Had 9 for a family party in Septemberand everyone really loved them
In London for a large family gathering. Staying nearby so stumbled on this cafe after exiting the tube. What a find !! Huge breakfast menu served quickly by very pleasant staff.
Opted for the vegetarian breakfast which was superb and beautifully cooked, these guys know what they’re doing. Looking round the table at the full English, pancakes with fresh fruit, excellent smoothies, realised I could have eaten anything on the menu!
Give this place a try if you’re in the area.
Best sausage and bacon bap I’ve ever had (and I’ve had plenty). Went with my family and we’re made to feel very welcome by the lovely staff. Beautiful settings surround the dining area outside. 100% would recommend to everyone and a good excuse to come back to Tilgate park.
Haven’t been here for several years and not since it was taken over by the new team. We had an excellent meal with great service from Ali whose partner does all the cooking. So a family run business that really cares about your experience and is happy to deal with food intolerances etc. I had calamari followed by swordfish in an olive, tomato and caper sauce with sauté potatoes and thoroughly enjoyed it. Reasonable pricing too. Recommended.
Visited The Bank Pub while the women enjoyed some shopping in the nearby Bury Market and can highly recommend this place after spending an enjoyable afternoon here.Drinks are very reasonable with promotions also on offer and the young lady serving is a credit to the place,so friendly and welcoming. The bar is spacious with comfortable seating, nice decor and plenty of screens for music and sport.
We have taken to calling into this lovely little coffee stop whenever we visit Truro by train, being at the bottom of the hill into the City from the Station. Always a smile and friendly welcome, a warm and cosy atmosphere with piping hot Cappuccino makes for a comfy stop before hitting the shops. A real sense of Cornwall with the various magazines and books readily available to read and the cushions and upholstery of Cornish tartan makes for a real traditional Cornish tea room. One of our now regular coffee stops. Give it a try if passing - you won't be disappointed
We called in for a coffee and a look around the little shops on site. The coffee was lovely. We then booked a table to return for our lunch. There was a nice choice of sandwiches, panini's, soup, daily specials, homemade cakes & scones, tea, coffees, milkshakes & cold drinks. The staff were very friendly and efficient & the coffee shop had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We chose the ham cheese & red onion chutney panini which came with a side of crisps and dressed salad with a pot of tea with a cheese scone to follow. The tea was served in lovely vintage china crockery & the panini was very tasty indeed. It can take a little while for your food to come especially at busy times as it is all prepared and cooked to order, but it is well worth the wait. You won't be disappointed 10/10

Ok so I may not be getting much these days (lol) but these cakes are simply divine - it's like being a kid again when you enter this shop - reminded me of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Bloody lush.
Highly recommend
What a fabulous authentic pizza establishment in our local village.
Went here as a family of 7 yesterday and we were not disappointed.
The pizzas were so delicious and made with homemade dough and carefully selected ingredients used for the toppings.
The pizzas are even better than we have had on our many visits to Italy.
The children’s menu at £10 for a two course meal was excellent value for money and thoroughly enjoyed by our pasta loving 3 year old.
Great menu and drinks selection .
A welcoming restaurant with friendly, happy staff .
How very lucky are we to have this little gem in the village 🤩
