We've visited Zorita's several times and were a bit confused when we couldn't book online this time. We just went along, June 2016. In fact, the restaurant is closed, locked up, stripped, abandoned. Zorita's is no more. It is an ex-restaurant.

Zorita's is part of an spanish chain. The homepage lists quite a number of trendy keywords (and0 catchwords): "We’re farmers, we cook what we grow, organic is our cult, we love things all natural, ingredients are always the true protagonists, simplicity is the utmost sophistication, small is beautiful, authenticity always tastes better..."

The restaurant had the smallest tapas selection I have ever experienced. 5 or 6 tapas with 2 unavailable was not good. Other main dishes on offer but not very exciting. Great views along the Thames and a friendly waitress but this did not compensate for the disappointing meal.

Took my niece for lunch at one of our favourite venues. Food & wine great but service a bit flaky: we ordered the "fish & chips" (boquerones & crisps - our favourite dish) but were told by the waitress that it wasn't available as they didn't have any crisps! There seemed to be a lack of interest on the part of the waiting staff but could be down to the fact that Zorita's is under threat of closure at the end of March. We will really miss it if it goes.

We handed them our reservationcode and mentioned that we had saved for a free Tapas experience on our points. The wine was good but the tapas plate was very very poor, for two people, 4 little peaces of meat and the rest was a one kind chewy tasteless cheese. On our reservation it says that we get a bottle of wine which we did, and a plate of different meats and cheeses. Plus a desert which we did not get even it was written in the reservation. We left rather disappointed, also the staff was not very friendly.

The Tapas here are as good as we've had in Spain but you are overlooking the Thames. Sadly only Spanish beer was Mahou but some fine craft Ales and some nice Spanish wines including the Hacienda's own. Small with eating at the bar as a substantial element as well as outdoor. It is quintessentially a tapas, but hey have a surprising variety of wines from different countries and with different grape varieties. I hadn't been back in this place for nearly 4 years, since I organised a great wine tasting with some clients back in 2011. It's completely changed and I am really impressed. They still have their wine shop and do wine tastings, plus they also offer a fine dining menu with plenty of Spanish delicacies. Two floors with great decor, a good mix of different type of customers (couples, business, friends) and great service. Me and my 8 old friends from university absolutely loved it. Terrific experience... Best tapas I've eaten in London.

Such an amazing place with a wonderful ambience, authentic food and a magnificent wine list. We had recently returned from a holiday in Tenerife and our friend, who lives in the City of London and who had visited before, suggested that we should all go there. The restaurant has a small terrace outside and tables on the ground floor plus a small shop where you can buy some of their produce. We had a table on the first floor with wonderful views along the River Thames. The restaurant focuses on products which they import from their own farms in Salamanca and wines from their vineyards in Rioja Alavesa. We chose to share a taster platter of Iberico hams and cheeses and also a traditional Spanish stew, Fabada Asturiana with butter beans, pancetta, chorizo, black pudding and coriander. I particularly recommend the soft and runny Torta de Dehesa cheese, made from sheep's milk. To accompany our food we had a wonderful bottle of Rioja, Marques de la Concordia Reserva 2009, that really complemented the hams and cheeses. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable, and explained the ingredients of each dish as it was served. They also have a tasting room on the first floor where they hold regular wine tastings. I fully recommend this restaurant and will be back very soon.

After our visit to "View From The Shard", we walked across the Tower Bridge, past the Tower Of London, and headed in the direction of Big Ben. Along the Thames River is a wonderful walking path named The Thames Walk. Some of the most beautiful views of London can be seen from this walk.As we approached the intersection with the Mellennium Bridge, we spotted Zorita's Kitchen - just in time for lunch. Our server greeted us and ushered us to the second floor dining room, where she seated us in front of a window looking straight across the river at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. What a view! The menu contained a wonderful array of Spanish delicacies - salads, soups, antipasto, main dishes and dessert. Zorita's is part of a company that makes wine - so they had a superb selection of wines - and beers as well.I don't recall what we ordered - but I do remember that the food was delicious. We ordered dessert which was scrumptious as well.I couldn't take my eyes off of the wonderful view across the Thames River - idyllic! If you're on the Thames River Walk -- why not visit Zorita's Kitchen for lunch, dinner and wine? Since I walked in, I knew this was the real Spanish vibe and that was going to be what we were looking for. Service was really friendly and kind, brought us a few different wines that they produce to help us choosing the right one. They also suggested tapas to go with it. Many of the staff looked Spanish, not all of them, but they also spoke English between each others, which not always happens in Spanish restaurants and it does made us feel comfortable. Food portions were generous and nice presentation. Nice atmosphere and decor. Suitable for business meetings as well as romantic dates and families. We've already booked a table for next Saturday.

We've been several times in Spain and know how delicious Spanish food is, and we have also tried disappointing Spanish restaurants in London. This wasn't the case. Took the glass back inside where she added a measure of Broker's Gin which I had never heard of. It tasted OK. Finished our drinks and when I went in to pay the waitress said that the Bill was 15 quid. Talk about extortion so beware.

We had asked if we could remain standing at the tables while eating some tapas, which we were told was fine, until the manager came 1.5 hour later and told us in quite a rude way that we had to sit down or leave the place. Apart from that, there was no atmosphere in this so-called tapas Spanish restaurant (for example, no special music and certainly not the warm welcome that we can have in Madrid or Barcelona!!!). The food had nothing exceptional either. So just a disappointing experience and I would rather recommend Old Brompton Spanish restaurants if you wish some good Spanish food with a sense of Spanish atmosphere!

We opted for the local Cheese/Cold Meat/Fish/Salad Tapas to share which is all sources from an organic farm from the north east part of Portugal close to the Spanish Border to. Our host - was an incredibly helpful and personable Portugese man who gave us a full break down of all we were eating, where it came from, how it was made, how the meat was cured, what the pigs were fed on. He added in for FREE some tasters of several local wines to complement the fish, meat and cheeses. It was a most delightful unrushed and interesting culinary experience made all the better by our amusing and delightful host . This place is definitely one to recommend to others. GO THERE!!

I wish TA has a rating between "average" and "good" -- this was "good" in a city with so much easily available outstanding food. The setting, while in a great location near St. Paul's, felt stuffed with Zorita's products to promote their range. We sat upstairs for the best view to the Millennium Bridge and river, but the place lacks warmth because it feels recently finished to a corporate standard that doesn't fit their PR about being a "kitchen farm" restaurant. Feels more like a "stopping by" place for visitors rather than a locals' haunt, which likely is due to location. Our two servers were efficient, one was actually charming (she was Spanish). We had a house white, the Hacienda Zorita Vega de la Reina Verdejo 2013/4, that was such a delicious, good value, the wine expert at our table ordered another bottle. The food menu wasn't as extensive as one would expect find in a Spanish restaurant of this size, but what we had was well executed. Three of us shared 6 plates and it was the perfect amount of food: sardines on toast had a nice smoky finish, pan con tomate had the same smoky paprika taste and very fresh tomatoes, the white asparagus tortilla was flavourful and not over-dressed, but the Torta de Dehesa, advertised as "the best soft sheep's cheese in the world" didn't deliver - it was good, but be careful what you promise. Pulpo a la Gallega was cooked just right, not too firm but not mushy. Jamon, fig and goat cheese salad was tasty but skimped on the cheese.

The beef carpaccio was dry and slightly grainy, also the figs were lacking any flavour. The jamon was average despite the price. The wine list is well priced but pedestrian. The staff are friendly, attentive and helpful without being intrusive. It just seems impossible to find tapas in London that matches the same quality as a modest local bar in Spain. Good quality cheese and meat platters, with a few extra side dishes - could perhaps have done with a few more boquerones. Don't ask for Sangria - they don't sell it because it's "made from off wine." (Really? Doesn't have to be!) Anyway, enjoyed a couple of bottles of Cava instead which were very pleasant. I look forward to returning.

I was walking along and needed the toilet so I decided to ask in Zorita's Kitchen if I could order a fresh juice and use the toilet. The very warm staff let me know that unfortunately They didn't serve fresh juice but I could use their (very clean) toilet without purchasing anything, unusual for a place on the banks of the Thames! The interior was very nice and the views are brilliant. I'll come back and actually give this place a try some time!!

I visited Zoritas for a working lunch last Friday. It's a beautiful spot by the Thames and we sat outside to enjoy the sun. Unfortunately that was where the enjoyment ended. The menu is obviously geared to accompany the extensive wine list and to be fair, they do have a wonderful selection. However, if you are goingjust for the tapas menu, I'd think twice. We ordered the mixed cheese platter which arrived with 2 different cheeses, not 4. A simple salad, potatoes with a dollop of garlic mayo and some bread with tomatoes (the best thing we ate). All very average and whilst the service was good, I think the menu needs some flare!

We have returned to this lovely small bistro several times after we discovered it during a business visit to London. Each time we have been welcomed by friendly, helpful waiting staff who are genuinely enthusiastic about the Spanish food and wine they have to offer. In most cases we have had the platters of Iberian meat and cheese, accompanied by different glasses of the excellent wine, and then have moved on to the stews. Our most recent visit in May was the best because we sat in the expanded space upstairs that was a bit quieter and more scenic than the ground floor room. Unfortunately, our waiter told us that they will have to move in a year because the area is slated for development. Be sure to look for them in their new location.

This was my third lunch visit to Zoritas Kitchen and it was thoroughly enjoyable. The staff were polite and friendly, lunch was served promptly, food was good, view over the Thames was good and the overall experience was excellent. I have added Zoritas Kitchen as one of my favourite lunch venues. On our next visit I will aim to reserve a table outside as we lunched on a warm, sunny day. Thank you!

Wonderful location right on the Thames. I was very impressed by the tapas and wine, but I do wish they had some more substantial Spanish cuisine on the menu.

There are not many places open on a Sunday afternoon, but Zorita's is one of them. We were four, and as two were vegetarians and we were sharing food we ordered mainly meat free. All dishes were absolutely fine if a little mean in quantity, the one meaty dish, a fabada was excellent. The house white wine is splendid and if the sun is shining then sitting outside and watching the river is the thing to do.

I have been to Zorita's kitchen two times now. Each time the food has been delectable; absolutely delicious! My mouth is watering as I write this. The octopus and sardines tapas... iberico tostas...yum.Unfortunately, each time I have been the service has been quite slow and not always accurate. The first time it was a party of two - we shared 1 starter and each had a sandwich (not a difficult order). It took 20 minutes to get water and 45 minutes to get our food. The food was so good, I thought I would give it another shot; maybe we just had bad luck with the service? Today I took a party of 6 boasting about the delicious food. After 1 hour and 20 minutes we had eaten our food delivered, but still were missing two of the dishes for 2 of the people at our table. Our waitress, while nice, did not seem like she has been a waitress very long and is in need of some training. Basic mistake and quite slow.I know this is a Spanish restaurant and that speed is not necessarily the kind of offering that genuine Spanish restaurants generally offer... however, this restaurant is in a prime business lunch location off the River Thames. The normal business lunch time allowance is about an hour. We should be able to sit down, order, be served, eat and pay the bill before an hour is up.I would love to return but I am getting disappointed with the speed of service consistently.

I visited this restaurant last Saturday with my wife. We loved everything! The headwaiter told us about the Zorita's slow food and wine production and got to try some of their premium wines before we ordered. We chose the food tasting menu, tried some of their own made cheeses and Iberian meats and some other tapas that he suggested. Very impressed with their cheeses and the wine reduction that they use to dress salads. My wife, who's Italian, loved the wine and bought some to take with us... We're bringing our friends next week.

Took friends who were visiting from Cornwall & they loved the views of Tate Modern, Shakespeare 's Globe & all the traffic on the river so we spent longer than anticipated over a leisurely meal. Food was as good as ever accompanied by great wine. Service was attentive without making us feel guilty that we were still sitting there.

I have used Zorita's Kitchen on a number of occasions as it is good for lunch or for a bottle of wine after work. The atmosphere is laid back and the wine is very good. Food consists of Spanish delicacies including good cheeses and olives. Service is always very friendly and efficient.

Went here with my fiancee and mum, great views over the river and nice ambiance inside. The menu is a little confusing, mostly because it's not substantial enough in my opinion, however everything we did eat was delicious, gorgeous flavors and great produce. The wine on offer was excellent also, and the staff very friendly.

Veramente bello!

......just a little disappointed about the service! OK, I was there having lunch and catching up with friends but 2 hours for a one course meal (and only 1 of our 4 plates was a hot meal, the rest being salads).....that's not right....and, even then, we had to make our way to the till to pay for our meal as no-one was collecting our money from the table. We weren't in a great rush but its a real shame as we thought this was a truly lovely venue with a nice menu. We may possibly return but will make sure we allow plenty of extra time!!

Stumbled across this place while looking for another restaurant. Was able to get a cone of jamon pieces that were totally delectable at only 4 pounds. They sell several types of iberico and pata Negra in sealed pouches. Yummy

I had high hopes for this restaurant, unfortunately my hopes were shattered. Let me start by saying I had received fantastic service at the run up to our dinner when I queried the menu or the dress code and that is where the positives end. We arrived for our pre-theatre dinner a little late and apologised. Once we were seated we realised it didn't make a jot of difference as we were the only people in the entire restaurant. I asked if they were expecting more people to which they replied yes it's early. Looking back we should have left at this point as it was a huge red flag. We ordered cocktails as I'd seen some great cocktails on their social media. What we got was utterly disappointing. They were served in some plastic tumblers which made us feel like we were toddlers. Worst of all, they just didn't taste nice. The flavours were all wrong and they didn't go together. Something important seemed missing They were not cheap at 16 pounds a pop either. So we decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and when our starter was served tucked in. My husband took one mouthful and looked disgusted. He said "I'll eat anything, you know me but I just don't want to eat this. I tried it and again it was just not balanced at all. All style and no substance. My starter was edible enough so I ate it as I was hungry but it was not what I would call tasty. Mains arrived and we considered asking to pay up and cut our losses but we stuck it out. Hoping for a change with our mains. It didn't come. My husband had the chicken shawarma, which could have come from a kebab shop. I had the trout, which looked and tasted more like salmon and which was not cooked properly in the middle. We'd had enough we asked for the bill. We stated our issues and asked for the 12.5 service charge to be removed as this added insult to injury. There was no attempt to apologise or rectify our evening. We left, glad that we were out of that restaurant. The service was poor, no one asked us at any point how our food was as we would have told them. The food was beyond poor. The drinks were poor. Added to this there was zero atmosphere in the restaurant as we were the only customers. A full house of disappointment. Avoid if you have any tastebuds or taste.
