Cute little tapas place! Loved having the bar set up inside the restaurant. Lovely atmosphere and great service. We came for a friend’s birthday and wanted to surprise her by ordering a slice of cake. When we got the bill, they didn’t charge us for the cake or candles! We loved our time here and can’t wait to come back again. Come early, as food does run out by the end of the night. I highly recommend the charcuterie.

Un gran hallazgo para una cena pre-teatro, a solo 2 minutos a pie del teatro de vodevil y cerca de tantos otros. Este es un lugar pequeño, así que tendrás que estar cómodo con comida informal (bar / mesas acogedoras) y ruido. Pero las tapas eran inusuales, creativas y frescas. Sí caro, pero como un placer que sin duda recomendaría. El personal era excepcionalmente atento también!

Vibes are immaculate, can’t recommend the Spicy Tuna Tartare and the Carajillo enough. The staff are also amazing and so welcoming for a solo visitor. Will be back ❤️❤️

Es un restaurante pequeño, así que es ruidoso, pero como no hay mesas grandes, no hay ningún grupo dominando. La comida era realmente excelente, entre nosotros probamos unos 10 platos diferentes (Oxtail era mi favorito, y los amigos dijeron que el pulpo era increíble) . El servicio fue relajado y muy amable. Sólo la retroalimentación sería ampliar la carta de vinos, ya que era muy limitada. Definitivamente volveré.

Increíble hallazgo en Londres, pequeño pero maravilloso. Ambiente fuera de escala, odio ir a restaurantes donde la gente está susurrando que este lugar es opuesto, ya sea sentado en el bar o en una mesa. Nuestra camarera Lulu fue una delicia explicando todo bien y sus recomendaciones fueron puntuales. La comida se veía increíble y sabía aún mejor. Ninguna queja volvería enseguida y recomendaría encarecidamente a otros.

A mí y a mi esposa nos encanta compartir comida y preferimos platos más pequeños para experimentar lo que está en el menú, la experiencia comenzó a las 5. El personal de 30 pm es muy amable y encantado de ayudar y explicar la comida y el vino. . la música era perfecta para el lugar y una buena mezcla de edades disfrutando. . Probamos 10 platos de tapas y para nosotros el tártaro de atún y el arroz con tinta de calamar negro fueron las estrellas de la noche y el vino sugerido para acompañar la comida fue perfecto... nos reservaron para el teatro a las 7. 30 pm, pero salimos como un espectáculo terrible, caminamos de vuelta y pasamos el resto de la noche disfrutando de vino y tapas. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar una pequeña joya. . gracias por una hermosa noche de tapas y vino que vamos a venir pronto. .

Locale piccolo, senza ricambio d’aria e quindi una puzza di aglio insopportabile. Eravamo in 4 e ci hanno dato un tavolino grande quanto un tagliere. Cibo scadente e lontano parente dell’ispirazione spagnolo/messicana a cui vorrebbe tendere. Uno dei peggiori posti europei di Londra.

Food was ok. Not great. Small portions for a tapas when you align the prices. Should not be so bad if the food stood out, but nothing that we went, you have to try this. Luckily the portions were small so didn't have the sharing problem. 70 for two tapas, a patatas bravas, one glass of wine and a coke..

Food quality was awesome, service as well, I personally recommend the Spicy Tuna Tartar, but take in consideration that the plates are “tapas” so they are small

Happy my friends and I picked Condesa to grab a quick bite before heading to the theatre last week. Although it was busy staff was welcoming and found us a table for 3. Atmosphere and food were surprisingly exceptional. I personally loved the smoked Octopus.and the pork belly carnitas tacos. The tuna tartar was everyone's favourite! We can't wait to come back with more time to try the rest of the menu.

Ambience made me incredible with lot of emotions. Staff behaviour with us was so astonishing. I would strongly suggest to visit this place. The food was so nice especially the welcoming by Srikanth was awesome.

Amazing service, drinks and food!!!

Loved the food, the service and the vibe! Can’t recommend the boquerones, the tuna tartare, the octopus and squid and the almond cake (the carrots were good though a bit firm). Servers are very friendly and the vibe is perfect for a date night. Will be back!

A great authentic tapas experience. We booked for 5 people and ended up with 1 extra person. The staff were very helpful snd accommodating. The food was delicious and lots of variety. Loved the octopus served with hummus, delicious patatas braves, cauliflower dish, fish tacos etc.. So yummy. Would highly recommend.

The food is delicious. The service is on point. The vibe for dinner is giving. Perfect for two people, going on a date or catching up with a friend. The staff kept on checking on me to make sure everything was alright and if I needed anything. Lola our waitress was so sweet.

Very cool place. Very friendly staff, who were all doing a really good job. They made room for us on a Saturday evening, even though we had not made a reservation. The wine list was really good. Nice to see wines by the glass that are beyond the "norm". We only had some patatas bravas, as we had a dinner booking elsewhere, but it was very good and all the other food we saw going out, all looked fantastic. The atmosphere is also cool. Very good music, and a nice intimate vibe going on. Will definitely come back here, when I'm next in the area

Echo another review , nothing wrong with Condesa. But nothing about it was exciting. Service was ok, a little slow. Food was plain and would have been acceptable if less expensive . Suppose you just get a feeling from a place if they really care about the food / experience- I’d say here they didn’t here. So, average / wouldn’t return sorry.

Lively, friendly and outstanding service with top-notch menu. The food was incredible & memorable, the drinks were great but really the location, service and staff made it worth going back more than once on our trip to London.

A wonderful central London find. A bit pricier than some tapas bars, but the food was outstanding and worth every penny.

Came for lunch on Saturday and was not disappointed. It wasn't too busy when we arrived, but had booked beforehand and arrived for a later lunch. The place is cosy and tucked away in Covent Garden. We ordered 5 plates to share between the 2 of us and it was plenty. The tacos and black rice were our favourite dishes, but all were delicious. The service friendly and the food tasty, perfect spot for a casual bite to eat. We'll definitely be back!

A fabulous venue just off the Covent Garden square for tapas. Not an extensive menu, but every item (in particular octopus) was amazing. Reasonable wine selection too. Exceptional service by the team - every single staff, including Paula.

Condesa was full with the exception of 3 seats at the counter. Lucky us. Aleece was friendly and smiling. No attitude. We ordered a lovely bottle of red and 2 plates of “ tapas”… and they were delicious! We spend most of the year in Barcelona and was thoroughly impressed with the offering! Keep it up!

Small, buzzy, informal tapas place on the edge of Covent Garden. Plates are small and designed for sharing. The range of dishes on offer is quite good with a focus on Spanish food. Food is fresh and well cooked. The range of wines available is not extensive but decent enough. Service not the fastest when we visited but the restaurant was packed.

Our experience was almost comically bad last night. The £13 negroni arrived with a fashionably oversized ice cube, with pruned olive and a curling orange cocktailed on top, which looked so un-inviting my wife didn’t have a single drop. We ordered four (at expensive price points, even for central London) plates; the patatas bravas was boiled potatoes with a miscellaneous ‘spicy sauce’ over them; the manchego cheese board was four sweaty slices with bone-dry biscuits, which live in a large vat on the kitchen island; the pan con tomato was slightly burnt toast with a watery thin paste paste; and, finally, the oxtail was more Shepherd Pie than “truffle carpaccio in potato mash”. All of this was heavily, heavily over-salted. My Mondeo beer was nice, but it was the only item the restaurant did not make.

Super happy, we were looking for something tasty and new and stumbled upon this gem! From the atmosphere, staff and manager Melissa everything was above standard! Will definitely be. Back!!

Lovely cozy tapes restaurant tucked in a small alley in Covent Garden. We had lunch there during a weekday, so it wasn't crowded and was great to catch up with friends. We ordered several dishes and they are all great, but I loved the octopus the most, it was tasty and tender. The restaurant is on the expensive side but guess it's Covent Garden, so price range would be higher. Overall it was a pleasant dinning experience.

Condesa was a great tapas bar with a mix of Spanish and Mexican influence, the food was amazing, I am a picky eater and I enjoyed every dish, specially the roasted heritage carrots, the solomillo sliders and the black rice. Great vibes and service. I recommend it!

Condesa conned us with their impressive reviews but very poor quality food and service. The squid was like rubber and the tortilla cold. When we complained the staff were speaking negatively about us in Spanish not realising we heard every word. Avoid. The worst tapas I have had and I regularly visit Spain

A compact venue (so best book online) with a small but delicious menu. We ordered five items which one-by-one trumped one other in the taste stakes. Great food and good service, but pricey.

Friends chose this place for a pre theatre 'meal'. The place is very small, estate agents would call it very cosy. The staff are very pleasant and attentive. The food is nice. The concept of tapas is understood to be an appetitive meal, it is just to feed you until your main meal later. The concept gets lost if the price tags are on par with a main meal itself. I know it's London but it really isn't justified .

Great food, bustling little bar Delicious fresh made tapas. The bar was packed, so hectic but good atmosphere. Tapas a little slow to arrive as each element carefully cooked separately, but the chefs were working their socks off. Would have liked a bit more on each plate, but they were delicious.

From the moment we entered, we must have turned around when we saw the waitress's reaction. We hadn't sat down at the table and he was already asking us in a super arrogant way if we were going to have something to drink. Two minutes after sitting down he came to ask us if we knew what we wanted to have. We ordered two red wines (served in a glass of water) chosen at random because we were in a hurry and decided not to order more. 15 minutes later, still having a drink in the glass, without saying a word, they left the ticket on the table. Zero recommended.

Food was amazing! Good mix and had nice black rice special! As a warning, it can be bit busy going on a Friday night, bit small, noisy and dark, like a bar and some food took time. However, overally satisfied!

We stumbled across this restaurant by accident while searching for another and I’m so glad we did. I always forget to leave reviews but this place was so special I vowed to write something. The service is really friendly and personal and the feel of the restaurant is like a bar in Barcelona that only the locals would know about. So unusual for this part of London. Highly recommended.

So happy to of found this gem! Nestled in a beautiful street off Covent Garden, my friend and I randomly stumbled across it. Now our go to place. The pork sliders were to die for and the cocktails did not disappoint. Service was great we were looked after by a lovely lady called Melissa. Highly recommend

A great tapas experience. Between two people we ordered 5 dishes (and 5 glasses of wine) and it was plenty filling. A really nice range of meat and fish options and had an authentic Spanish feel to the meal. The wine list isn't incredibly long but has enough width to accommodate different palletes. The only downside was our server. She was really nice when she did come to the table, but was preoccupied with a single person at the bar for the majority of the time. It's a smaller restaurant but didn't feel overly crowded even at 8 pm on a Friday night.

Arrived a bit late after theatre. Staff on duty were super welcoming and professional. They served us food at the very last second and it was delicious. Matilde and her colleague were lovely, professional and kind. Excellent experience. Will come back! Yummy food!

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant when celebrating my friend's birthday. The service was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to make it a special occasion. They even added candles to our dessert and sang a birthday song. We truly appreciate the effort and the delicious food. Thank you to the staff for making this celebration memorable!

We’ve been to this lovely tapas bar for many years, although it’s been a good few months since we visited Happy to see there has been a refurb’ and the stool tables for 2 (generally used for 4 with only space for 2) have been upgraded to some low level seating and the kitchen / bar area extended to accommodate a busy tapas bar Anyway we visited today and the refurbed bar this eve (Friday night- not so busy ….. wonder why) isn’t what it used to be and the prices for the tapas was shocking. We were 4 ppl and the bill was £245 , for a tapas bar with the bites being small I consider that expensive Service and atmosphere not what it used to be before the refurb , food generally as nice and interesting as it was before but really a lot more expensive Overall we feel we’ve exhausted our favourite tapas venue by the owners wanting more but getting less

Honestly one of the best tapas places I’ve ever been to.. and I’ve been to a fair few …food wise as well as service and everything else in between… don’t think twice about going in..

Just love trying tapas places and this was a great find. We booked a table and there wasn't one available when we arrived but the waiting staff looked after us and eventually we were seated properly, after a short stint sitting near the open kitchen where the chef seemed a little stressed, and occasionally berated his staff, which was a bit awkward but hey they're famous for that, I guess. We enjoyed the cocktails and it was lovely to see a carafe for the wine. The food selection is small but then the kitchen is too, and to be fair the speed at which our dishes arrived was impressive. The food was quite nice, basic but again you have to take it in the context of the limited space. The charcuterie was gorgeous, olive oil delicious, and the tacos very tasty. Octopus was a little overpriced but it's usually my favourite, I was a little underwhelmed by the portion and texture but the the hummous and sauce that accompanied it, with some extra bread, made up for it. Overall a nice experience with great front-of-house staff who worked very hard to please, just not the best food within its own bracket.

This is a real gem. The freshly prepared sangria, friendly staff, strong Spanish vibe and the owners were even sitting in the back when we were there. Food was outstanding, service was quick and gave the perfect tapas style multi plate experience.

The food was out of this world and the service was impeccable too, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff who made the experience even better. The ambiance added to the charm, making it the perfect spot for a memorable evening. Trust me, if you're in Covent Garden and craving some fantastic Spanish cuisine, Condesa Tapas is a must!

We visited this lovely tapas restaurant 2 days ago. The food & service was amazing!! We chose 4 dishes plus bread which was a perfect amount at lunch for 2. Could not fault anything & would definitely return ASAP. Neil & Mel

Awful, noisy, uncomfortable and anyone who thinks this is an authentic tapas restaurant has clearly never been to Spain. Mediocre tortilla, a plate of what tasted like shop bought salami with bread stick leftovers, and an inedible squid and rice dish. What a waste of £60

Food delicious however very limited menu. It was pricey but can't expect much else for the location would definitely return

Very nice place and staff, went with a couple of friends and we really had a great time, specially because of Raquel, she was very helpful and kind and showed us what’s an outstanding customer service like. Every single one of the staff was awesome, from the chef to the rest of the team, they really treated us great. Last but not least, food was incredible, and wine was tasty. Definitely will come back sooner than later, highly recommend this place if you want to have a lovely day surrounded by nice staff and delicious food!!

Quick tapas - great for pre-show light meal

I would start off by saying that I did not look at the menu before coming and I am a vegetarian. There were not a ton of vegetarian options. The sikil pak was really good! Good spicy. But the rest of the meal really was below what they charge. They had BBQ crispy corn that was literally just corn nuts. Also their tomate con pan was pretty subpar. Overall I would not recommend. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was intimate. If you enjoy meat maybe there is something on the menu for you!

Laced among a restaurant filled street, Condesa is a very small, compact restaurant that packs a punch when delivering great service and food. From the outside looking in you’d never expect the level of food quality and the tapas style dining that provides a fairly large menu. This leaves you with so many options for the small bite sized dishes that really fill you up quickly. Each plate was well presented, the flavours and textures were more than immense. It really was like bite sized pieces of heaven and with such fresh ingredients it can be easy to fault the dishes. Thankfully, one plate after the other kept getting better. The day we went was really a spontaneous decision while roaming the area and we arrived just before dinner service. The restaurant was basically empty and only one waitress on shift. We couldn’t of been luckier on the day to have such a great and enthusiastic waitress who recommended the best plates on the menu and took great care of us from start to finish. As soon as we left it was time for dinner service and immediately the restaurant was packed. It’s clear to see how popular this place is because of the intimate size, atmosphere and phenomenal food. There’s so much to eat and drink that even on a full stomach, you wish you had room to eat more from the menu. This is a highly recommended place for dining and not stretching your pockets looking for great flavours.
