Zorba's Shisha & Kebab in Reading

I have read alot of the comments on here and can confirm that the staff mentioned to be rude have left around 7 months+ ago, now since the change of management the place is looking spotless , the food is fresher than ever, and all the staff are very efficient & helpful, this is the only late night spot to visit in reading worth talking about, the portions are great value and I always feel full and satisfied after a meal here! Keep up the great work Zorbas! Will always be a regular here! 👍🏽

Great spot for after a night out - open till late. Friendly staff who will make your order quick. Bit pricey but what can you expect when they are open until as late as they are? Regular visitor

The food was amazing and cooked very nicely, served with cheerful expressions. Payment easy, both card and cash payments were in option. Love the staff.

Whole orders were wrong, dreadful any new customer please avoid

Burger was rubbery and uneatable and kebab was wrong ordered without salad got full salad the jalapeños were stale with no juice in them ans the meat tasted reheated probably won't be ordering again as had to throw most of it away

Food and people here are amazing. Seem to remember regulars orders well and respect regulars. Very quiet inside but made up for with talkative staff. A good portion of kebab and chips is between £10-20.

Just found this place today and to say the least it was a wonderful experience staff was kind and the food portions was plentiful

I come here most of the time and I don't have any problems. It has very good food and good staff

ordered a hot dog with bacon and egg and the hot dog came on its own!!! No bacon and egg which I paid extra for. Very disappointed and won't be using Zorbas for a while as i cannot trust them and want a full refund from them due to service experience. I have photo evidence of the hot dog if required.

I read a lot of comment here, however, this is my third time visit, which I never found any issues and problems about this shop. They kebab is really nice and hot, also with a good loads of size, the staff is friendly, food taste nice. The only problem is the decoration and the atmosphere about the shop. This is a life saver especially most of the shop is closed after 10 pm, they are one of the only shop open till midnight

It has very good workers and very good chips, orders arrive very quickly

There’s a guy name Rafi, he made my chicken wrap which was so tasty. He is very nice and very goof chef as well.

The hygiene in the place is seriously questionable. The man kept picking the chips up, tasting them and then licking his fingers. When we ordered, the man immediately went off to greet a friend and completely forgot about us. Other people who ordered after us therefore got their food first. When we finally thought we were getting our food, the server dropped it in the onions. He then had to make up another batch making us wait even longer. When we started to eat it, lots of the chips were hard like cardboard. Avoid!

To the server who wanted me to pay upfront in case my card declined. It is more likely that your card would decline ( if you have a bank account) than mine! Maybe learn some manners and how to treat customers going forward!

Very bad serving and the guy was so rude we went in happy but the guy wasn’t replying us nicely such a bad place please don’t get food from there

The guy serving us was very rude, commenting about my family while his serving, what sort of management put him there to serve people, terrible. Please don’t go there embarrassing in Reading.

Kebab without the pitta bread?!

Order was simple, beef burger with bacon, nothing else on it, chips in pita, chicken burger... What arrives is a burger covered in cheese (no good for the kid who has allergies) with no bacon (note writen on box sorry ran out, have some cans of coke), no chips atall, but did get chicken buger right, so 1 in 3 chance of a meal. Called to see if can be resolved... only started today mate, nothing i can do... Save your time and money, dont order here

The food was very very salty , we have not been able to eat it. Unfortunately won’t be eating from here again.

Would have been much better if any of it had actually been delivered (especially as it was marked delivered and charged!)… Zero attempt to contact me and no attempt to buzz into the hotel lobby - terrible.

My colleague ate his kebab without cutlery after a homeless man shook hands with him, so must have been good! 11/10 would try again!

Bad kebabs, don’t eat kebabs from here, super greasy, disgusting bread and very stingy on the salad. My chicken donner was basically a very greasy fired chicken leftovers with a spoonful of cabbage. Had some chips a while back and was okay, so if you’re desperate go for chips rather than kebab. Other than that that avoid unless desperate.

Cold kebab barely any meat and very skimpy on salad. Overpriced and bad service. I used to like this shop but recently they have been rude and try and get away with serving you barely any meat. Embarrassing establishment.

Waited over an hour and a half and nothing showed up?? This is out of order and will never be ordering again!!

I work for trading standards and I arrived at 02:45am and it was closed, not very good at all considering they are advertising at being open until 3am, not good at all.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Gave me food poisoning and staff were extremely rude!!! Will be reporting to environmental health through the doctor!! Spend your hard earned money elsewhere this is NOT the place to go!!

The service, food and price all horrendous. My friend ended up paying £29 for 2 chicken burger meals and 2 portions of nuggets. The meals didn’t even come with chips?! We also asked for 4 bottles of water and they never game them to us. We asked for cheese on our burgers and was told this would cost extra - the cheese was grated. The less said the better.

Avoid at all cost. This place is only ideal if you're out of options on a night out. The staff are extremely rude. The food quality is abysmal and extremely long waiting times. I've been to Zorba's numerous amounts of time but this has to be the worst experience I've ever had. 10/10/22 around 3am they allowed around 20+ people in and closed the doors (refusing anymore customers which seems fair as it was due to close). However, we were left waiting for 25/30 minutes to get served. Upon getting served... we were then informed they don't have any chicken, hardly any lamb, no cheese for the chips and pretty much a limited supply in which there were another 10/15 people behind me that were completely unaware of this issue. Getting served was painful. I was approached and asked what I wanted and was repeatedly ignored three times until they eventually took my order. I went to order three things but as soon as I said "meat and chips". I was instantly met with a card reader in my face for £8 even though I wasn't finished with my order. As mentioned at the start of this review. It's only ideal if you're out of options on a night out as mostly everywhere else is closed . If I could... I would give this place half a start but googles letting me be nice!

Trains got delayed so wanted a kebab to eat to bypass time, went inside and got ignored by the staff. Left shortly afterwards. Then went and saw the many bad reviews before leaving mine, I will count it as a blessing to avoid this place as the hygiene is quite poor here

I was new to the area so the reviews helped me choose this restaurant. The food arrived early, portions were good size, and tasty. Price was reasonable too. Would recommend these the reviews are true.

The kebab shop chef kindly obliged my offer to have a kebab in a wrap. The food was exquisite.

Recently, asked for a hot dog Got a the meat broken up into 4 pieces, and those 4 prices were had brown too, then it came in a burger bun. £4 , having a laugh.

Good for take out, they have one of the best kebabs but the place is rough around the edges, they need to learn to how to package and market better.. could be one of the best if maintenance was good

Went here a few nights ago, my friend lost his appetite after seeing the staff member use his phone whilst randomly ruffling the lettuce with his other hand. He also barked at us what he wanted, scaring us. Only I ate the chips, it was quite salty.

Fast and delicious food. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for good late night food.

Normally pretty good. Tonight was waiting for 30mins between initial order and food being complete. Requested a discount due to delay and manager decided best course of action was to charge double !

Never order again , they mixed up my order , the prices are really high, When i called to make a complain the staff if rude and all he could says is that is having only 4 people at work

Do NOT use these. Standards have gone downhill massively. The chicken shish used to be so good, but no more. Fatty, soggy chicken and the sauces I wanted weren't even correct. Standards have gone.

This is the best post- pub eatery i've ever seen. Staff are all my best friends (and yours too if you ask nicely) and the food is just as good as it looks (really good), the chicken is actually chicken (?! In kebab shop?!) And the veggie burgers are *exquisite*. Cheesy chips fire. Give them your money xx

4 cubes of lamb and that was a large shish, soggy wet pitta bread and barely any salad, I’m still hungry?!?! I’ve contacted just eat for a refund, very very poor quantity and quality.

Never turned up and no communication from the restaurant the driver was assigned and never picked up our food it is a shame because the food is top quality but these just eat drivers are a joke and make the restaurant look bad as they are usually very quick

Parts of my order were missing. The delivery driver said some items were out of stock & I’d be refunded. Just Eat says refunds take up to 14 days, but I checked on my refund before this time, they said they were looking into it for days, then said I was too late to report the issue. I’ve been shafted all round.

I love Zorbas food but unfortunately the just eat driver let them down by not showing up to the restaurant. Just eat have compensated me, however, it's just unacceptable. If there would have been any kind of communication from justeat it wouldn't have been so bad. Will call directly from now on

Poor quality , didn’t have the food that was ordered and provided a completely unsuitable alternative without checking . General good quality was incredibly poor.

We order XL kebabs and what worried wasn't even as much as a Large really small portion and the chips was small as well. We ordered before and it was a lot but for some reason this time was terrible
