Zoo Bar in City of London, Westminster

The staff (mainly manager/owner?) are awful and very rude. Paid £20 deposit for a bar tab before coming, my friend was told to wait 30 mins before coming in then when coming into the bar I was told I had to pay even though all of my friends were inside, I had already paid £20 and none of them had paid entry. Tried to explain it to the man who I assume was the manager but he was very rude. I told him our table was booked under the name Chris to which he responded “I don’t know there’s too many Chris’s”?!? When we were inside we waited a long time for drinks. Not a good experience

£10 to get in......until they realise you're part of a group, then once half of you are in it suddenly becomes £15 to get in. Which they're pretty sure you'll just pay as you'll want to meet up with the rest of your group. Terrible first impression !

Fuimos al evento para una noche normal, la seguridad nos negó constantemente la entrada ya que estábamos 'intoxicados', sin embargo, siendo religiosos, ninguno de nosotros había bebido en nuestras vidas. El guardia procedió a rechazarnos la entrada varias veces y se rió de eso con sus otros amigos como si fuera un juego para él. Security guards were horrible, we’re very disapointed, it was our first night in London and everywhere we went the haven’t been well received. People were agressive

Super endroit pour s'amuser entre amis, 2 ambiances avec le bar au rdc et l'immense discothèque en sous-sol. Le samedi soir il y a énormément de monde ! Nous y sommes allé un jeudi soir en janvier et c'était parfait.

I definitely do not recommend to go there. The staff is rude and impolite. Especially the blond girl at the ticket office who thinked to know how to speak French and decided to charge us 10£ instead of 5£ because she thought we were talking about her. She is so childish... The security guards also are rude. They shout at you and insult you for any reasons. It was my worst experience ever. I will never go back to this place. It is a shame to hire people like that...

Locale a 2 passi da Leicester Square. Sempre super affollato. Controllano il documento a qualunque età e prima di entrare lo scannerizzando sul PC. Musica molto alta modello disco.grande sala al piano inferiore. Spazio esterno dove poter stare all' aperto. Ottimo se volete seguire con amici qualche evento sportivo sui maxi schermo ( io sono a stato x vedere una partita dell' Inghilterra ai mondiali di Russia.. 2-0 sulla Svezia... Uno spettacolo) il locale è veramente affollato. È una discoteca in pratica. se invece volete un tranquillo pub londinese dove bere in pace una buona birra, ecco allora non è questo il luogo giusto.

My phone is stolen here. I saw the person who has stolen my phone talked to security and they did not do anything. If you are looking for a good quality and safe bar this is not the right place. it is not a safe place I am not going again and I do not recommend you choose safe places.

first of all, charging people £10 entry to get into this place is a total joke. place is an absolute dump. tables are sticky. staff are rude. decor is tacky and i got my rose wine served to me in a plastic pint glass. are you guys having a laugh!?

Tanto la música como el ambiente son muy españoles. Las copas al mismo precio que en otros pubs similares.

Entramos muy temprano y la hora feliz estaba todavía, hay algunas ofertas bastante bueno entonces. En la bodega del bar hay una especie de club nocturno que está bastante guay. El rebota eran realmente da tirones. En general, recomendaría este lugar porque la música y ofertas happy hour, pero también bastante creppy chicos que vino por sí mismos en las niñas.

Watched the cup final in the bar, great atmosphere and great result! Drinks were at happy hour prices, half price between 5 and 9pm......in central London! Great find! One shared cocktail served in an oversized glass was excellent value at £11. Really enjoyed the experience!

The best nightclub that you can possibly find in London. And the drinks are so cheap, the staff just makes your night greater, the music makes you stand up and dance all night and it's all the time full a lot of fun and great...

Até as 21:00 existem algumas bebidas com 50% de desconto (ex: um Chopp de 500 sai por 2,65) muuuitoooo barato para Londres... Musica boa, ambiente agradável, bem espaçoso.

This place is good to hangout with Frens in Happy hours. They offer 50% off in most of the drinks & environment remains good. If you go after 9 pm, you have to pay to enter the bar. Also place gets crowded, so security becomes too rigid.

Este bar que está en el sector de Leicester Square, es muy entretenido y tiene buenos tragos, debes pagar 5£ para ingresar y escuchar buena música conversar con los amigos y beber, además es una buena opción cuando todos los locales cercanos empiezan a cerrar a aprox. las 23.00 hrs.

Went there last night for a leaving party, nothing special, from the staff to the drinks, even music and people. There are lots of better locals in London!

I work around this place, and hence this is our regular watering hole and dance place with colleagues. It's a nice place with decent music and range of booze. Very close to Leicester Square station.

Went here on a bar crawl and it's became one of my favourite places to go in London. The music is always good.

Staff is rude, aggressive and racist... We were appalled by the treatment received. We paid to get in and once inside we removed our jackets and we left them on the side while ordering at the bar; one of the bouncers came to warn us (in a very impolite way) that we could not leave our jackets there. Then we got our drinks and decided to move somewhere else as the place was quite packed; we found a nice spot, we left our stuff next to us and started to dance and have fun when all of a sudden the same bouncer comes and takes one of my friends outside, apparently leaving your jacket "unattended" is enough grounds to kick someone outside of the place violently by the force. When we asked for an explanation the rest of the group was also kicked out of the bar. I was literally lifted and dragged outside and so was my husband!! I have never been treated in such a way, I still don't understand what have we done to deserve to be hurt, humiliated and evicted of the premises like criminals. I will never come back to this place and I will alert all my friends and acquaintances to avoid this bar at all costs!

Pub excelente e tradicional chinatown. Possui uma boate no subsolo e a galera é muito louca depois do pubcrawl.

I've been to Zoo Bar on quite a few occasions with friends. The drinks are a good price (especially at happy hour), the staff are friendly and very fast. Also, if you want a little more of a quiet environment, head next door to Zoo Too, pretty much the same deal on staff and drinks, plus they have comfy couches and great food :-)

Upon arriving the bar the door staff were really friendly and the the atmosphere was lively and fun however the mood quickly changed as I went to get a drink. I'd been given a free shot voucher and was holding it in my hand waiting to be served, before I'd even realised one of the bar staff was approaching to come and serve me she'd snatched mine and my friends ticket out of our my hands and started pouring the shot. We then ordered some more drinks and shots, paid and then had our change slammed down on the wet bar. The shots were then placed half way down the busy bar so as I went to reach for them my drink spilt. I'm not saying that's entirely the bar staffs fault but if she'd of placed the shots in a more sensible place the situation wouldn't of occurred. I apologised for spilling the drink and then ordered another one. As she was bringing over my change I made a point of making sure my hand was out so she didn't place it on the wet bar and the woman looked at my hand and then once again slammed my change down on the bar. From the moment I approached the bar that specific bar member seemed grumpy and had a bad attitude. Apart from the a rude bar member I had an alright time, the prices were fair and the music was good but I can't say I'm in any rush to return.

Very nice set up just a few minutes from Leicester Square. Good half price drinks deals for happy hour. Service is pleasant. Would like to see more people here but granted it was a Monday.

It was a pretty crowded place with a very diverse crowd (lots of Turks, very few Brits). It seemed to be about 3-1 men to women.

Attended zoo bar in July for a hen party. The door and welcoming staff were great. We absolutely loved the happy hour where drinks are half price.A few of our party ordered food and it came quickly, was hot and went down a treat.Very happy with our choice of party venue, would highly recommend.

Two floors, part bar part club (not sure why it seems to be down here as a restaurant?), I've been there many times as part of a language exchange that meets there weekly. Mostly an enjoyable time is always had there and it's got a good central location. Drinks will seem pricey if you're not used to London but they're actually quite good compared to a lot of places in the vicinity. My only complaint would be that the toilets are a bit grotty but not to the extent that they are unhygenic and I have known worse.

Used this bar as a meeting point for our night out.A good amount of outdoor seating which was great as it was a sunny afternoon. Location is good close to tube station and on edge of Leicester Square which as usual was very lively and you can see people entertaining the crowds.Drinks were very reasonable considering we were in London.They do sell food although we didn't try any as were moving on elsewhere later.

U have to pay to much for getting inside...for having a bad service I just asked the barman for a long Island 4 times and she gave me a vodka redbull and told me is not true that I asked for a long Island ...never come back

Went for food and drinks with a friend, after spending about 4 hours in there spending money we got told they had to take our table and chairs away leaving us having to stand. Customer service was awful, bar staff quite rude. My friend also got her purse and phone stolen, not a nice place will never ever go again and dont reccomend it.

ID required to enter. We were a group of friends and girls got free entry (thankfully we were even number!!). Nice and safe atmosphere, welcoming, nominally-priced and wide variety of drinks. I did not drink at all but did ask for water 5-6 times and each time I was well-served amidst customers who were paying non-stop for hard-drinks. This was impressive as I or my request for water was not ignored. Rather each time the staff asked me whether I needed ice.Music played was enjoyable and we danced through the night till 2 a.m.. The place is for really young kids and hence, not a great option if you are looking for something upbeat or better standard. We didn’t have any time to explore more so managed here.

O Zoo Bar fica bem próximo ao tube da Leicester Square. Depois de terminado horário eles cobram a entrada, que revertida em uma bebida. O Bar toca musicas atuais no primeiro andar. De madrugada, o bar deu acesso para o club que fica ao lado.

Dropped in here one Friday evening just after 5pm, good move as we found that all drink were half price till 9pm, even the pitchers, so made the most of it until we went off for dinner.No problems inside, not a normal place I would go though. take ID with you as they check it even a 50 year old! not that I had any!

Een bar waar we jaarlijks wel teruggaan, zeker tijden hun happy hour. Deze duurt van 17u tot 21u, waardoor alles aan de helft van de prijs is. Het is ook mogelijk om er pizza's, nacho's, ... te bestellen. Ideaal bij het aperitieven. Toch een verademing in het dure Londen. Heel veel toeristen in deze bar. De bediening is ook niet altijd even vriendelijk. Veel locals vind je hier niet. 's avonds gaat er een tweede verdieping open. Vooral gericht op het iets jongere publiek.

Celebrated New Year here with 2 of my friends, we were happy with how quick we got in and served at the bar and prices for tickets and drinks were standard for London. We were also impressed with the upstairs and downstairs rooms and the mix of music to suit all nationalities, however when ordering at the bar downstairs was difficult to communicate with the staff due to the music and sometimes are orders came wrong so it was better to use the upstairs bar then go back down to the club to dance.We would probably come back again for a regular night to see what its like.

We dropped in for a quick drink before dinner and the bartender gave us change for a £10 when I payed with a £20. When I said that she made a mistake she lied me right in my face and said that she would have the bouncers throw me out if I continued arguing. So hold on to your money, pay only in small notes and prepare to be robbed.

Il locale si trova in una zona centrale della città, quindi facile punto da raggiungere per chi ha deciso di prendere un alloggio in parti centrali. Il locale per sé è ben distribuito, all'ingresso subito il bar, a lato una sala da ballo, scendendo le scale un'immensa sala. Musica commerciale e normalissima nulla di particolare, anche l'ambiente non richiama nulla di tipico, si trova tutto quello che si può trovare in qualunque altra città. I prezzi nella media per stare nel centro di Londra che è famosamente cara. Se vi trovate li per la serata andate a fare quattro salti perché è veramente animato. Se desiderata l'aria Londinese vi consiglio di allontanarvi dal centro e dai locali centrali.

Por volta das 17h de um sábado, estávamos a procura de um PUB tradicional em Londres para tomar uma cerveja em nossa primeira visita à cidade. Passamos por alguns que, ou estavam muito cheios ou não nos fizeram a cabeça.Após caminharmos pelo bairro de Soho nos deparamos com o Zoo, que de fora parecia um misto de balada e bar. Ficamos um pouco confusos e fomos perguntar para o segurança na frente como funcionava.Ele me deu uma encarada de cima a baixo e depois olhou pra minha esposa e liberou nossa entrada, falando que era 5£ por cabeça e tinha direito a uma cerveja cada um. (Acho que só liberou minha entrada pois eu estava acompanhado hahaha)Entramos e conseguimos um lugar no balcão, onde começamos a tomar uma Stella (das 5pm até 9pm 50% off nas bebidas - A Stella ficava por 2,20£ no lugar dos 4,40£)Com o passar do tempo o negócio vai ficando cheio e vira uma balada.. galera se pegando foooorte! Achamos o lugar muito top e recomendamos! Casais que gostam de algo mais agitado podem ir sem medo!

Uma excelente opção de balada em Londres. O local costuma encher mais tarde, somente depois de meia-noite. O local possui 2 ou 3 diferentes ambientes, nenhum deles é muito grande, mas todos são bem animados e com música boa. Preço razoável, levando-se em consideração o caro padrão londrino.

ended up here on a work night out and absolutely disgusting. by 10pm the toilets were covered in vomit and this wasn't cleaned up for hours. a sweaty, nasty bar/club which I won't be going to again

Tudo começa na hora do hush. Muita gente procura esse bar, é super tradicional. O espaço interno não é muito grande, o externo tem poucas mesas, mas isso é Londres e pouco tempo depois de abrir, muita gente já está entrando e saindo com copos, jarras, pratos... Sodas, cidras, cervejas, pints, vinhos... Muita interação acontece no Zoo. O clima é fantástico!Mas Londres tem essa tradição de fechar as portas de bares e pubs as entre 23:00 e 01:00 h. Só que o Zoo Bar tem uma arma secreta, existe um clube noturno no subsolo que comporta a gente insaciável que chega por ali, o que nos garante festa pelo menos até umas 4:00 ou 5:00 da manhã.Tô falando que lá é animaaal!

Visited for the world cup final the people in the bar were horrible and not helpful they seemed a bit stressed out but the restaurant bar on the right was OK, overcrowded but fine drinks and OK food

We got in free as a group of girls so figured we should give zoo a shot. It isn't bad, but it isn't anything special either. I had a good time with the usual expensive drinks, but wouldn't go back on purpose again.

We visited as part of a hen weekend and had a great time in the bar as it played good music, was busy (but guest list entry was useful!) and had a wide variety of drink options - with an easily accessible water tap for non-drinkers.

A clubs club... not for anyone over 25-30. best to go with a bunch of friends... great easy location, right near tube stop and restaurants...
