We didn't get anything we ordered and was charged more than what came.

The ambiance was welcoming and cozy, and Katie was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. The food was outstanding—dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and exceeded my expectations

Lovely visit, Ellie was superb.

We had booked and arrived 15 minutes early. We were shown to our table and given menus……. nobody came to take a drinks order so my wife went to the bar. We ordered drinks and then another wait to order food. Starters arrived one was hot and one was cold. When the mains eventually arrived we had been there an hour and a half. Portion size quite small and my wife’s chicken skewer was not properly cooked. Complained to the duty manager who in fairness quickly organised a substitute meal. There were 4 or 5 staff serving tables but only one in the kitchen that I could see. Lots of people turned away while we sat there , I would estimate 50-70 as Chester was very busy so missed sales there for sure. Staff very pleasant but it wasn’t busy due to turning people away.

After a poor experience a year ago at Chester Zizzis, we finally dared to try again. This time was so much better all around. Excellent food and excellent service ! Here for the first time visiting in chester, on arrival, we had a warm and freindly welcome by Emily who accommodated us a table at short notice and made us feel very welcome. Emily gave us time and helped choose our meals and suggested a range of popular menu options. Definitely worth a visit here in chester, thanks to Emily and her unmatched service & smile. Thankyou

Very slow service. Had 2 hours to eat before daughter started work 5 minutes walk away but she didn’t have time to order her dessert from the 3 course set meal she ordered. Despite asking and informing the server, to be told “oh sorry about that”. Won’t be returning or recommending.

Lovely lady Katie Fserving us, could have helped anymore and a shout out to the helpful manager. The cherry fizz (mocktail) was devine and the pizza was lovely if too much for one.

Lovely meal! There were so many dishes on the menu that sounded appetising so we struggled to choose! What we did order was delicious, and I can’t wait to visit again to try more of the menu. Our server was lovely and friendly.

The food was amazing and our waitress Eleanor was very attentive and we had very good chat with her.

The front of house staff were lovely but the food was very poor. My partner ordered breaded chicken fillet with potatoes and green beans but it had to be returned because the beans and potatoes were so hard you could not get a fork in them or chew them. She replaced her meal with Carbonara which was OK. I had sea bass with red pepper, green beans and potatoes. The sea bass was small, overcooked, had little flavour and mushy texture. The beans and potatoes were better than my partner’s but not good with very little flavour and unpleasant texture. The red pepper was OK. Because the potatoes and vegetables were placed under the sea bass, it was as if the steam from the sea bass had condensed onto them so the potatoes had lost any crispness and the whole meal was sitting in a film of water and oil. The food and drink were quite expensive but my partner’s meal was not charged for.

Arrival was fine. We ordered our mains with the waitress, she then returned to the table to advise the main ordered wasn't available as there was no mushroom sauce. She then said she would give us time to pick an alternative and come back. She never came back. We then had to attract the attention of another staff member to order. Mains were good. We then ordered a dessert, the new lemon meringue cookie, only to be told that really available either, as they hadn't brought the gas for the blowtorch, so again picked an alternative. Overall, the food was nice, but the service was ok and the fact the selected meal choices weren't available was a disappointment.

We really like this Zizzi as it’s always warm and welcoming. Today was an ok experience but the chairs at the table we were sitting at were not clean and neither was the surrounding area or floor, salmon was sadly off the menu which 3 of the party of 5 had chosen and we only found this out as we came to order our food, and our food was not hot. We understand sometimes things go wrong and it was not a terrible experience, just not quite the great experience we did usually have. There was only ourselves and 3 other parties in when we arrived. My mum said we’ll go somewhere else next time. I’m sure we will be back at some point but these things can be off-putting.

What a fabulous restaurant, my family and I visited Zizzis tonight, and had the most beautiful meal, service was impeccable, Eleanor our waitress couldn’t do enough for us. Service was quick, with the perfect amount of time between courses. Eleanor was so lovely, and obviously brilliant at her job. The food was delicious, and portions were huge. We will most definitely be returning.

Served by Abbie, great service and very friendly. We ate off the set menu and the starters were the highlight for us, had the mozzarella bomb and the chicken spiedini, both tasted amazing! Mains were okay, beef ragu didn’t have much beef unfortunately, and then had the salted caramel brownie for dessert, it said it was a warm dessert however it was served cold but still tasted delicious as it was

Visited today approx 2pm. Waited to be seated but no staff to be seen anywhere? Waited for a couple of minutes and gave up! Went to the market instead.

Absolutely disgusting would never order or eat out hear again staff are rude food was stone cold and overpriced my dead gran could cook better food and give better service would give less then 1 star of was available

Table booked for 8pm for 9 people. Arrived to be told table not ready, could split the group up onto 2 different tables, including 5 people on a table of four. 2 of the group left to eat elsewhere. Had to wait 40 minutes for starters, waiter was great rest was awful

Friendly staff, good food, good location

We chose Zizzi as one of our party is celiac and the information looked great on the website. But when we asked about the GF menu, instead she was given a folder and told to find the information herself. Our starters were far too salty and cold. Nobody came to ask how our food was. When our plates were eventually taken, we told the staff. Our mains came and both pasta dishes were drenched in salt and the macaroni cheese was hard and bone dry. We sat for 40 minutes with our plates in front of us and had to ask for them to be taken away-by this time we’d decided not to order the dessert of the 3 course meal. The toilets were disgusting and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. This is a relatively new restaurant in Chester-I’m baffled how things are that bad so soon.

had a really lovely meal, dessert was very very nice! service was really good when we came into the restaurant, and we received our mains and drinks quickly. unfortunately, as the restaurant got busier we felt a little bit forgotten about, and had to wait quite a while for our plates to be taken away, to order desserts and to get the bill, and we only got this after we asked for each of these things. the first half of our meal was lovely, but would’ve been 5 stars had we received the same service the whole way through our meal

Told to get a drink at bar and table would be ready in 10 minutes. Stood at bar for 10 minutes but no one was serving any drinks and no one gave updates on table so walked out after 15 minutes, I appreciate it was busy but speak to your customers.

Jess our server was fantastic! And the service is really good in general but what lets this place down is the food. It is really nice but for the price there’s no real wow factor or complex flavours. The atmosphere was also a bit dead but for a standard night out you can’t go wrong for a nice Italian.

I am a regular orderer of this dish, this time sadly there was very little sauce, the pasta was tough and the bacon was burnt and only three bits of the ham was included.

I'm surprised by some other reviews, as I eat here often. The restaurant was quiet for a bank holiday, so I had expected a little more attention from the waitress, but she may have been having a bad day. The food was delicious, and we were otherwise well looked after. I highly recommend the garlic bread with caramelised onions and the spaghetti bolognese.

First time having lunch here and it will probably be my last....we opted for the Six Layered Lasagne to be given a round dish with 2 layers at the most. No atmosphere, bland food and an average glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Seriously, I have had better lasagne from Tesco!

We three adults arrived for lunch on Monday, restaurant was quiet, but we were seated on a table in a corner right next to a couple with a baby and a toddler very audibly watching cartoons on a phone. The server said she would be back to get our drinks order when we had settled in, she went off to complete a food delivery, we could see her loading the delivery in to a bag, We thought she would come back to us after that and we'd ask to move to a quieter table but no sign so after 15 minutes we left as no one seemed keen to serve us and it did not give us a good feeling about eating there. I'd suggest that customers be given a bit of a choice of tables when there is availability. It's a pity as I've been to other Zizzi's which have be nice.

Beautiful restaurant, brilliant staff but slightly lackluster food and the chef made 2/4 dishes incorrectly with missing ingredients and one avocado slice in an avocado salad 😰 Not super impressed but overall was still an alright experience.

Service was good. Food OK - bit disappointed with Wagu meatballs and Aribacha sauce - no real flavour in meatballs or sauce. Waitress was kind enough to bring some chilli oil and chilli flakes, but certainly not great.

There were 6 of us on a family trip to Chester and out for a meal on a Saturday evening - we hadn’t pre booked anything. After popping into a couple of restaurants who couldn’t accommodate walk ins Emily from Zizzi came to our rescue. She said she’d have the table ready in 20 mins, so we had a drink nearby until the appointed time. She had a lovely table ready in the window, and was friendly and smiley throughout, dealing with a food intolerance with no fuss. Food and drink was great. The other staff were also helpful and all in all helped us to have a really enjoyable meal!

Calamari was not fresh, and coating floury. Garlic bomb was just a big chunk of dough with nowhere near the amount of cheese on it like in the menu pic. Both starters came out in no more than 3 minutes which says it all that it’s not freshly made. The chicken in the calzone was definitely not torn and didn’t appear fresh either, it was more like rubbery chunks. And the rest of the ingredients (filling) was not cooked. The pizza had far too much caramelised onions on it and it was gathered all in one place, leaving me to spread it all around the pizza myself. The other toppings were sparse with no more than 5- 10 pine nuts and 3 basil leaves. Overall, naff quality and sickly. I can cook better at home. When we got there we had two rewards for two free starters on the zillionaires app. The waiter didn’t seem to know much about it which made us both embarrassed to have to explain. The overall atmosphere was awkwardly quiet. We’ve had better at independent Italian restaurants, and cheaper too. Will not return.

The food was amazing and the staff were friendly. The only issue was with dessert some people in our group waited a very long time and some people didn't end up with exactly what they had ordered. Other than that we will definitely be back to the Chester restaurant very soon

I’ve ordered from here before and it was fab but today the potion sizes are stingy

Ordered calzone polo chicken and spinach and a classic pinoli goats cheese pizza. We were then told they had no goats cheese and could we reselect. but we decided to have the same but with a hard different cheese. When the food was served that pizza came cold and I had to send it back and wait to be re done. Iust say however that the person who served us and I guess it was the manager who swopped our pizza were very nice and obliging. Experience was good and the food delicious but let down by the food issues.

Great find, new Zizzi tucked away next to the indoor Market. We went out early evening on a Monday when the market was shut. Friendly staff, Zizzi's cater for food allergies really well and plenty of choice. Service was excellent, food was very good, and restaurant decor/atmosphere was pleasant. One of the best chains at the moment.

Food and service excellent but spent almost all the visit trying to set up the club everything I tried didn’t work so gave up and tried at home, email verification, password set, but no matter what would not accept details, eventually login via Google but why should I have two emails on account, spoilt the point of having your club if not able to use the original email….why advertise something which won’t allow you to set up while in the restaurant

Ordered rolled pork belly with green beans (wasn’t rolled atall more like stamped on) and potatoes plate was filled with watery green beans pork belly portion was tiny, my partner ordered the pollo pasta (zizi favourite) and it was absolutely drowning in grease, very disappointed for the price paid but never the less praise the Lord as we are thankful for food👌

The most dismal pasta dishes we’ve both had. Extremely overpriced for what it was. Lacking in sauce, flavour & ingredients in general. One staff member who initially served us was quite good. The staff who I had to go ask for the bill, ignored me for a while and showed they clearly don’t want to work in customer service. It was the “go away” vibe. Just give me my bill so I can leave please. Definitely won’t be returning. Wish I read the reviews first.
