Bella Italia Cheshire Oaks in Cheshire West and Chester

Me and my husband and two older children (age 19 & 22) booked in for Mother's day at 6.30pm. We were sat in the corner under a very loud speaker pumping out pop music/ dance. We had to ask for it to be turned down as we could hardly hear each other speaking. Mother's were supposed to get a glass of prosecco, it didn't arrive before or during our starters so we asked for it and told someone would get it. Still hadn't arrived by the time I had finished my main meal so we asked again for it. Finally arrived after eating. The set menu was on for mother's day, there were only 5 dessert choices. We were given the dessert menu to look at, made our choices but when the server came back to take our order, only two were left in stock (it was only 8pm and the restaurant still quite busy). We had no dessert which was a shame on such a special day. We were also surprised not to be asked for I.D. for my 19 year old Daughters cocktails. The staff then stood around in ear shot talking about how our server should have asked us. I ended up asking loudly if they need to see it. Windows were dirty, covered in handprints. Bits of food and sticky floor. Far below the standard expected, especially on Mother's day.

Food was nice, service good...marked one star though for refusal to take cash... Ridiculous as happy to accept cash tip....? Sort it out, cash is still legal tender..

Visited on a busy night but food was served in good time and tasted delicious. Service was very good. Chocolate fudge cake was the best I have had in ages!

Shame. We have always enjoyed prezzo. But first time at prezzo cheshire oaks ( & our last) We arrived at approx 2.15pm on not a particularly busy time. After being shown to our table with our menus & made our choices without even being asked for our drinks order whick i thought ok we'll be asked shortly. We waited & waited still no service after at least 15mins. A friendly lady did say she'll be with us in a minute as was serving another table. As I said it wasn't particularly busy but there were staff hovering about doing anything but attend to tables & one male was tasked with obviously more important things like hanging valentines decorations....come on guys!! Really???!! Si fed up f waiting we put on our Coates & left. We ended up in Frankie & Bennies & although not our first choice..the service was outstanding. It was busier & half the staff on duty that prezzo had. Very disappointing.

This was not worth the money or wait! 60 of pound for stone cold food and was no effort, looked vile! Just about good enough for my dog

Great time at prezzo last Sunday, served Mia (I hope my memorys right) who was so lovely and did everything she could to accommodate us. Plus the food was absolutely delicious, piping hot and cooked to perfection, could not fault anything :)

Pizza could if done with a bit more time in the oven for the topping to be cooked a bit more.

Food was small portions, was missing the cheese and was all cold. Not worth the money

food didn't have enough sauce no where near what you get in store and carbonara had a very soggy prices of meat didn't look right so it wasn't eaten usually really pleased with out food and didn't want the busy nye vibe so had delivered never again

My boyfriend and I called here after shopping, looking at the menu drew us in to eat, the food and service is what will bring us back. The calamari and the prawns were perfect. The pizza was delicious, the right amount of topping and flavour and cooked like a pizza should be. The chicken pomodoro was one of the best tasted. I would highly recommend here to any of my friends or family who will be in the area. The staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient with the surrounds being comfortable and relaxing. We will be back again.

The food wasn't the best tasting and there was barely and sauce in the bolognese , the chips were delicious and so was the garlic bread

Excellent food from the Christmas set menu - quick service and lots of vegetarian choices ! Went at around 8:30pm on a Saturday and managed to get a table for two without a reservation: even though the restaurant was quite busy service was quick and meals prepared excellently. Our server Ash was super friendly and did a fab job - thank you all for a brilliant evening 😁

This restaurant is located on a very large retail park on the outskirts of Chester. There are a number of eateries in this row and also a travelodge. I imagine competition is quite high for custom. Unbeknownst to the staff, Rachel & Laura. Today is my birthday and I’ve taken myself out for a treat! And quite the treat it’s turned out to be! A very warm welcome on a cold winters day. I have found the service and food excellent. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. It’s lunchtime and I’d say around a dozen customers are here. The food is clearly cooked fresh, so takes a little while to come. For me that’s fine I’m not here for a fast food option, more so; good food. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxing I’m currently sat by the window so the pictures don’t really do it justice. It’s rather nice in here! Lightning and relaxing music! I’ve chosen from the Christmas set menu option, which for the quality I have found it to be more than reasonable. I don’t think the outside colour scheme really sells this venue the quiet green lends itself to getting lost amongst the other restaurants in my opinion. Inside is a completely different feel however so maybe something for them to consider. Plenty of parking as it’s a retail park. I’m here for lunchtime in the build up to Christmas this location is busy but I don’t think you’ll have problems with parking here. Hopefully the photos help you, forgive me I forgot with my main course so had to get creative with the serviette!! I would recommend, definitely a venue to relax in and enjoy the food and warm welcome from genuinely friendly staff. Toilets are situated on the first floor accessible via the winding staircase. There is however a disabled loo on the ground floor for easier access. Outside seating a-plenty although not today for me. So, thank you Prezzo for looking after me today!

Decided very last minute to eat out before shopping and we were able to get a walkin. Lovely welcome from Rachel at the door, who was happy to assist as I'm currently on crutches. We were served by Rachel, who was a delight... very bubbly and engaging but not overwhelming or pushy. The food was delicious, I've never eaten here before, I was very impressed with the choices available. The drinks menu was great, the only complaint I have is that I was driving and couldn't have a cocktail, I will definitely make sure I have one next time! Well done to all the team x

Waited 15 mins sat down outside to be ignored 3 times when they came outside. Terrible 1st impression. Left as wondered how long we would have been sat waiting and then the wait for food. Not even busy!

Been coming to Prezzo for many years in Chester and Leeds and although service is good the food is going downhill - Prices too high and quality of food and portion size reduced. The Pizzas are smaller and less toppings and rather sad looking Wife had Lasagne that was bland and at 16 quid for a small rectangle of food with no side salad is ridiculous - We had possibly the driest cheesecake with little flavour - Will be going to Pizza Express in future very disappointing

Absolutely amazing food, good selection for vegetarians. Was hot and well presented. Good portion for starters, bear that in mind when ordering the main. Service was very slow..... Food arrived before the drinks, and that was after a near 20 minute wait before taking our order. There was only 3 staff on with the place 2/3's full. So there was a lot to do. More staff needed. Also they cant alter much in the menu when ordering, we wanted to remove some items that came with the dessert (cream) but was told that couldn't be done, it comes as a set dish, so check the menu it may limit what you want to order. The atmosphere was ok, little bit dark and the tables are quite close. But all in all a good place for nice food, would definitely go again, hopefully with improved table service.

Visit got off to a rocky start when our drinks had been sat on the bar for 10 minutes. After going over to the bar we were then served by a lovely guy called Jack who couldn’t do enough for us. His customer service was exceptional, really genuinely pleasant and not forced. Later found out he was a chef, he is a true credit to the restaurant.

The food was really bad starter and main. We have visited here quite regularly the staff are very friendly it’s a shame the food has gone downhill. We visited on the 22nd of February and I left a survey no one even bothered to reply we will not be coming back.

Went to Prezzo, ordered two set menu regular pepperoni meals two drinks, one additional drink, one crab and lobster ravioli, large chicken and pepper pizza and a salmon pasta. Large pizza and regular is the same size but stretched and even less meat than the regular but paid extra. Salmon pasta tastes bland. Service wasn’t great as when we put and order through and wanted to add an extra starter. The waitress said that the order has just been put through with attitude. The pizzas we had to cut ourselves. After the bill came the pricing were not right as the set menu included drinks but they charged extra. The phone rang constantly and no one answered the phone so don’t call the restaurant they won’t pick up even though there were only 7-8 tables.

I paid for 4 pots of cheese and they didn’t come. My food was cold.

Food is average and staff are friendly but Jesus Christ, the prices don’t even make sense. How is a single bottle (330ml) of beer nearly £7? I understand it’ll be more expensive at a restaurant but we’re not in London. Madness. The garlic bread was half a 9” pizza size, I was wondering where the other half was. It’s not like it’s a fancy establishment (staff weren’t in uniform so all seemed a bit random) so I just felt a bit mugged off in all honesty. Not good value for money at all so I wouldn’t recommend. Just go to Nando’s next door guys you’ll leave a lot more satisfied

Food was lovely but very expensive if you're paying, we used Tesco vouchers. £8 for a small piece of Cheesy garlic bread nearly 18 pound for a small lasagna no wonder their struggling.

Food took over two hours to arrive and was cold. Had to be heated and went chewy. Very poor service.

Food was nice, waited ages for first drinks. Long waits between courses. When our mains arrived, they hadnt even cleared the table from our starters.. Could do a lot better. It was busy but I go to a lot of bigger restaurants when it's busy and have far better service. Needs a lot of improvement..

We had wonderful times over here with good drinks delicious food and watering desserts. We had complete food from starters till dessert its best time. Our Server Jess took great care of yourself. Well our daughter loved the tricks while dessert was brought to our table… all the best whole team for Christmas👍👍

I have always eaten in this restaurant a long time but unfortunately this time things just went so wrong .. i have always complimented the very attentive staff who have always gone the extra mile to make sure we have been looked after but this time unfortunately it just wasn't the same .im not sure if it's because of new staffing but little things mount up and then the whole evening just feels spoilt . Firstly my favourite pizza calzone has been changed on the menu and mis communication or so it was put down to ruined my meal ...I wanted the veggy option with pepperoni and chicken but when I got my pizza it contained mushrooms and warm rocket which I would never had ordered in a pizza and a pot of cold salsa which used to be served hot so you could pour it over your pizza ...it used to be delicious but no not this time apparently its now served cold ...but who wants a cold salsa to do what with ?eat it with salad ?...im sorry but this has changed for the worst ....the waitress looked defensive when we tried to explain to her the pizza was wrong and said oh you deal with this to another waitress in front of us to the waitress in charge who was really pleasant and offered me another one but to be honest it would have meant my friends meal would have been cold by the time we had got it plus I had eaten enough of it looking for my chicken and pepperoni so no we didn't want that.......then twice we had to ask for the French fries we ordered ..to two different waitresses.they came at the end of the meal ..it was just a catastrophe these things ruin a meal which you have looked forward to ....the senior waitress offered take my pizza off the billl and the late fries ...which we thought was kind of her but the meal just wasn't right at all ....then the next thing ....a lady from behind the bar came over to us explaining why the other waitress was taking a long time with my phone at the till it was because the till had not taken off our bill that we had paid ???....so many things going wrong ruined our night ...then i went to the toilet and the same waitress who was defensive was in there cleaning and said oh im cleaning the toilet so I will leave all my cleaning things in there ...it goes on and on ....we decided to stay for a desert thinking nothing will go wrong here ....but when we asked the lovely new waitress what a desert was she didn't know ...I felt sorry for her because it was her second night in her position as waitress and she really was lovely but management please train your staff .make sure they know the food they are serving and can advise and sell your products in a confident way because this is very important .with my staff I always sat them down and let them try the food on the menu so they were confident in there jobs and could build up a good rapour with customers and explain what the food was they were serving .we always came in to see your last manager we found her pleasant and very caring but found out last night she had left to go to a different area we hope your new staff will understand that constant professionalism and food products are essential..to know what they are serving and to approach you in a caring manner .and no waitress should be on the defensive and not come back to your table and send a new one to handle a situation she should have done and certainly not carry on staring and making us feel uncomfortable because we did in the end and all we came in for was the usual friendly atmosphere that prezzos has always shown us .but last night changed for us unfortunately .

Food was ok but it's hard to create authentic Italian food. The portions are small and very expensive. At £177 for 5 adults and 2 children meals will not be rushing back. The staff were very good but, they do not set the price.

We stopped to enjoy a nice meal but were disappointed. First when we arrived the waitress tried to sit us next to a family with two small children who hadn't been trained how to sit on a chair. She did this to put us in the eyesight of customers walking past to make the place look full. She should have seen as middle aged adults with no child in tow, we wouldn't choose to sit there when there were other free tables. The food came. Basic starters with no garnish. Mine was calamari which had come out of the freezer which I don't have a problem with but it's a restaurant so at least put some effort into the presentation. My drink ran dry. No one came to ask if the starters were ok. When the waitress did eventually ask if I needed a new drink, it was another 15 minutes before she returned saying they couldn't change the barrel. She did give me a bottle on the house instead so that was fair enough. The main came. I had ordered crab and lobster ravioli and my wife had ordered rigatoni ala rusticana. My wife enjoyed hers and I thought it was tasty. Mine however was terrible. I didn't complain because I didn't want any fuss and I didn't want a replacement and sit eating after my wife. I know restaurants want the opportunity to resolve but it is pointless when you then have to eat after whoever you are with. It should just be right first time, everytime. The ravioli was floating in a thin flavourless sauce. It had sundried tomatoes, about four that were flavourful. It had spinach which was wilted to death and awful tasting. The ravioli itself was bland and flavourless. I cut one open and it had a disgusting looking paste in it, that could literally have been anything. It was certainly devoid of any flavour whatsoever. £72 for two starters,two mains a pint of lager and a coke. When the food is bang average with controlled portions and poor service I am going to review. It only scores 2 instead of 1 because my wife's food was tasty.

Overall, it is good value for money, I wish they didn't get rid of the Peroni beer.

I had the chicken sambucci it was dry and tough and lots of space on the plate. A couple of our party had pasta dishes - these were served on cold plates. Overall very poor value for money.

Nice food,drink our favourite is Tre Carne Calzone and Spaghetti Carbonara with Chicken and use our Taste Card to get better price with cost of living at the moment

Good food well presented service patchy

I'm afraid tonight we were let down by the service, the time it took from order to food arriving at the table was unacceptable. The restaraunt wasn't anymore than 50% full. The waitress did apologise for the delay but did no more.

Took a dear friend for a birthday meal. All 3 courses were lush. The honeycomb cheesecake in particular. It came with a candle for my friend . Thank you to the staff.

Food and drinks excellent but a little pricey. Staff efficient and friendly and coped well on a very busy Saturday teatime. Restaurant nicely designed but it was very noisy as popular with families. Would return at a quieter time I think

The calzone was empty :( The rissoto was like a soup and hardly any rice on it. The food was absolutely terrible!!! Thr price was too expensive for the quality of the food!

Food was barely average with supersonic pricing. £30 for an £8 bottle of wine. £6.50 for a 6” square of plain garlic bread. £18 for a minuscule portion of desperately under seasoned lasagne which rendered it virtually tasteless. £19 Ravioli dish with the edges of the pasta very el dente. Bill presented with an “option” of 10% 12% or 15% service charge - cheeky or what? £101 of the worst value ever.

Very small and expesive portions. Very slow service. Will not come back again
