Zizzi - Bankside in Southwark

This is the second time my friend and I have eaten here. The first time was before we attended a production at the Globe earlier this year. on that occasion, the food, the Service and the staff were delightful, so much so that we decided to return when were next in the area. We returned yesterday for lunch, and we were not disappointed. The new menu is brilliant, and once again the staff were simply superb.

Staying in London we decided to try this restaurant for the first time. We are so glad we did and returned the following night for our anniversary. The service was excellent, the staff were lovely and the food was fantastic on both visits. We had a table by the window with amazing views. Will definitely be returning next time we are in London.

One of the best meals we had. Eight people. Sticky Pig pizza, fonduta to share, chicken and bacon salads. All came out hot, fresh, and delicious.

We chose Zizzi Bankside for an extended family meal after a day’s sightseeing in London. The lady who looked after us was absolutely excellent. She dealt with us changing the number of guests, various allergies and general mayhem, quickly, effectively and in a genuinely friendly manner. 16 people were delighted with their meal and drinks and it was wonderful for the people with allergies to have a choice of food. The vegan cheese on the pizza was declared the best he’d had by our dairy allergy relation and even the chef in our party couldn’t find fault. We are very grateful to the team for creating an evening that everyone will remember.

The service in the restaurant was excellent, Marian was very lovely and helpful, he is offering a greeat customer service.

Where to start...terrible microwaved, glutinous, tasteless pasta which made one of our party feel sick. Pizza's micro thin cold base, barely any chicken or tomato sauce and no cheese (the 'chef' forgot). Hardly anyone in there but we were told we could only book for 12.45 or 2.00.

Friday was rather dull and wet until my wife and I arrived at Zizzi Bankside to were shown to a window table by the welcoming staff. Delicious cocktails (Amalfi Sundown and the new Tiramasu Espresso) were followed by starters of Calamari and King Prawns Spiendini on a skewer. Main courses followed of Sea Bream and a memorable Casarecca Della Casa, an incredible pasta dish which ranks as the best we have ever tasted. These were followed by a brief rest before the helpful waitress convinced us to finish with desserts that concluded a most memorable visit. A big thank you to all the staff involved!

Lovely restaurant requested a window seat overlooking the river. Very attentive servers who were polite and friendly and took a special dietary order for one of our guests and answered all questions. Service was well paced and the food as always was delicious, we had main with sides of garlic bread and olives

Portions were tiny. While the view over the river was great, the decor attractive and staff friendly, the portions were tiny given the high prices.

It's never easy serving a table of 10 people but the two gentlemen from Spain and check did everything to make our stay a fantastic experience. Food is a great value, portion are always large and atmosphere was lovely.

WOW! just brilliant, the ambience, the design is amazing and the location right next to the Tate and The Globe is epic. Staff were fantastic and the food was great. Thanks Zizzi. You rocked it!

Came here for a pre- theatre meal. The good was excellent, freshly cooked and delicious. The position of the restaurant, beside the Thames, was amazing. Seating is spread well apart so feels lovely and spacious. Service was second to none, a special thanks to Ayana, who did a perfect job, a lot of much more expensive restaurants would benefit from observing her skills. Will be back!!!

Wonderful pasta for kids and adults. Very nice and attentive staff, great views and location. Loved the warm, friendly and informal athmosphere. Highly recommended.

Went there last evening with my family. We all ordered the three-course menu. After nearly 2 hours we'd still only had two courses. Then we noticed that the kitchen was unstaffed, and there were only 2 waiters left trying to cope. Eventually the 3 kitchen staff and 2 waiters (one of whom it transpired was the duty manager) reappeared in their coats from their smoke-break. After some argument (and sacrificing our dessert), we were given a 50% discount. Cheekily, the 12.5% discretionary tip for large parties had still been added - naturally we refused to pay this. This particular restaurant has been our go-to location for the last few years. I did notice that there's a Bill's nearby, so that will probably become our new Christmas dining place.

Italian food worth a try A family lunch that ordered a pizza, pasta and rice. Despite there don’t have Earl Grey tea, other drinks and food are good and worth a try.

We had booked a table for dinner with our daughter taken to a table reasonably promptly but went downhill from there we had a grab the attention of a waitress to order and then sat for 45 minutes , no drinks not even water or food the restaurant was not full -very bad service not what i expect from Zizzi we’ve eaten at several other beaches and enjoyed it

Our second time here. Great location. If you arrive early you can get river view. Food always good. We got a mix of food. olives and calamari good apps. For meals we got Ravioli de Capra, Spaghetti Bolognese, Classic pizza with mushrooms. All great!

Locale sporco e maleodorante, bagni osceni e per arrivarci bisogna praticamente scendere nelle catacombe, cibo scadente (insalata fredda da frigo, idem le verdure). Di italiano non ha proprio nulla. Da evitare assolutamente

Wish I read the reviews before. No customer care. Staff arguing with each other. Food appalling. I would of preferred a pot noodle on a plate it would of been tastier. The menu sounded nice, particularly the fondatu sharing board which we had as a starter. But in reality every piece was dry, crispy and overcooked, the molten cheese fondue boiling hot like it it had come out of the microwave.
