We had a good time, and our waitress, Divia, was very nice 😊! Looking forward to coming here again!

Luckily we weren't in a hurry as if took a long time to even get a menu and order a drink. Unfortunately we were then given the breakfast menu whereas they were serving lunch but finally we got the right menu and when our drinks (who knew it could take so long to make a tea and coffee) finally arrived we ordered and then we waited and waited. The food when it finally arrived after we'd asked after it was good. The outside seating area was very full and the serving staff seemed to be concentrating on those customers at the cost of those sitting inside. I would have loved to give them a better review because the food was good but the service was awful.

This place was such a little gem of a find. We rocked up 30 mins before closing and they were so accommodating. Ordered the goats cheese salad and Turkish Pizza which were both so good. Absolutely what was needed today. Thanks so much

Lovely cafe located in The Galleria. I stopped for lunch on Saturday amd was made very welcome and had a nice open lamb sandwich with wedges. I was surprised when I got the bill though, as I thought the wedges were included in the price of the sandwich @ £12.50, but not according to my receipt they were an additional £3.50. I guess the price is based on the location 🤷

Navegando en una zona del Puente de Londres al final de la tarde, decidimos parar en algún lugar para tomar un café y tal vez un aperitivo rápido y... nos quedamos para todo el brunch (que está disponible en este lugar todo el día). Las opciones fueron demasiado tentadoras 😅 El brioche con tocino, salchicha y queso y esta increíble salsa pueden mantenerte todo el día 😋 La comida y las bebidas llegaron muy rápido, así que definitivamente fue una parada en boxes encantadora en un lugar acogedor antes de volver a la locura del centro de Londres.

We stumbled onto this little pizza place while on the way to train station. Was really busy and had great atmosphere. Staff are really friendly. Really good pizza.

Este pequeño restaurante es uno de mis lugares favoritos para desayunar antes del trabajo. Mi colega y yo siempre disfrutamos de la hospitalidad, la comida y el ambiente. Las tostadas de camote, con aguacate y huevos escalfados son increíbles, un ganador cada vez. Este café tiene el personal más oxidado y parecía carecer de productos y baños de trabajo. No había 'puedo ayudarle por favor' a la hora de solicitar bebidas o comida. Estaba tranquilo cuando llegué y la gran cadena de al lado estaba ocupada - esto debería haber sido una señal de advertencia. Pedí un café con leche semidesnatada. El funcionario dijo que no tenían ninguna y no ofreció ninguna alternativa. Los baños parecían estar ocupados, pero descubrí que uno no funcionaba y el otro estaba cerrado con llave sin nadie - ¡nadie en él! La camarera dijo que debía haber alguien ahí que había cerrado la puerta con llave, pero nadie salió y apenas pudo molestarse en comprobarlo hasta que se lo pedí de nuevo. El restaurante comenzó a estar ocupado y está en una zona donde hay muchos turistas. Los precios son un poco altos, pero supongo que las tarifas de alquiler y negocios también. Sin embargo, espera ser tratado por personal mejor capacitado y acogedor. Da una terrible impresión a los turistas que todo Londres es así y realmente no lo es. El desayuno parecía bastante agradable, pero para ser honesto yo y mi colega no quería pasar más tiempo o dinero allí, así que comimos en otro lugar.

Sour food and even sour service. I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others about this restaurant. My friends and I came here hoping for a cozy spot with a warm atmosphere, but what we got was the complete opposite. The atmosphere was cold and unwelcoming with the manager spending our entire meal staring at us which was rather unsettling. One of my friends was served a Margherita pizza, only to discover mould on the bottom. When we pointed it out, the waitress dismissed it as "oven stains." I’m not sure what kind of oven stains food green, but that’s a first. Another friend ordered a flatbread that arrived missing key ingredients, forcing us to complain again. To their credit, they removed the pizzas from our bill which seems to be the bare minimum. Between the unprofessional service and inedible food, I can’t recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and eat somewhere that actually values its customers.

Never thought I’d have a worse experience of eating somewhere. My friend was served a mouldy pizza, which was told ‘wasn’t’ mould but infact the pizza tray used… Thankfully she spotted the discolouration on the front surface prior to flipping it over and discovered this ecosystem on the base. Pizza base is clearly not freshly made- and appear to be store bought bases that have been improperly stored/ checked prior to serving. Not just this, the lamb flatbread although stated on the menu served with tomatoes.. didn’t come with it, and then had to prove to the server that indeed the flatbread was tomatoless before it was swapped out. Flatbread was overpriced for portion given. The pizza was taken off the bill but absolutely horrified that an eatery would even be giving out mouldy food to paying customers.

Sited in the hay Gallleria, it is a modern coffee shop and eatery. Lovely coffee and cold drinks. Toilet inside. Handy for those walkers and tourist on the Thames

18-19, Hays Galleria, Hay's Ln, London SE1 2HD. Avoid❗️❗️❗️❗️. Extremely over inflated food prices (even for London), very small portions and a mis-leading menu. My friends and I were still hungry once we had eaten. Oh and don’t get stung ordering a soft drink….nearly £5.00 for a Diet Coke! I work local to this cafe and will not be going back, I have also warned my colleagues to avoid the place too. Rip off! 29/1/25 date of con !

Stopped in for breakfast on a quiet Monday morning. I cannot fault the service, which was friendly and efficient. However, my omelette was overcooked to the point of being inedible. I would not recommend a visit.

Very nice friendly staff efficient service and delicious food, although a little on the pricey side. My only recommendation to the owner would be to please fix the door so it closes fully as if you're sitting on one of the 2 small tables to the left of the door you'll get blasted by cold air so you'll need to keep your coat on!

Just had breakfast here, the food was plentiful, hot and delicious. Divia was our server/waitress, she looked after us well without being over attentive .Thoroughly enjoyed it all and would recommend if you are walking through Hays arcade.

I had a wonderful evening at this café. During the cold season, we enjoyed a delicious Moroccan mint tea and garlic bread. The ambiance is absolutely charming, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is incredibly kind and polite, making you feel truly welcome. I will definitely come back again. Wanted an omelette as menu on window showed it but did not show any time restrictions you could order it once inside was told they didn't do omelette in the afternoon? Asked for jacket potato with beans then instead..jacket potato was on the menu but they did not do it beans..really with a jacket potato? Asked then for poached eggs on bun with ham with no seasonings or any topping..just plain and also ordered a beef pattie as they explained it on the menu..in other words a burger..the eggs came up with a sauce all over them which I sent back expressing we had said we wanted it plain..the burger then arrived and I cut it in half in the bun..just as well I did it was not cooked inside so I sent it back they then cooked me another burger that was over cooked and was like a piece of shoe leather..( I have to ask how hard is it to cook a burger!..I have a cafe myself in Kent and must cook 150 burgers a week..90% steak burgers) I have to say I was on the verge of walking out the food was awful 💩💩 by the time mine was re served which half of it i left..my partner had already finished his food..the male waiter that originally took our order appeared very glum and looked like he didn't really want yo be there..and lacked a personalty..so burger and frozen potato wedges..2 eggs on a bun with ham..1 glass of wine and a apple juice came to £48!! I think it's probably the worse meal I have had in years! I'd of had a better experience at McDonald's and wish I had of gone there instead!

Nice cafe, fantastic and friendly service from Divya. She was very patient with us despite asking many times for flapjacks. She needs a pay rise! Shame about the flapjacks.

The worst service ever by manager and both staff. They won't allow their customers to use their rest room. They told us to use public one, not once but 3 times. Wouldn't not ever recommend this place. Please avoid all time.

Food was very average, similar to what you can find in a supermarket. We were randomly charged one extra pound on the bill that we had to claim back. This area has much better places to eat.

A somewhat cold and impersonal café, located in the Hayes Gallery and with a pretty covered terrace. Friendly and attentive service, but a little soft. Very good dishes (English Breakfast very good, avocado toast/poached eggs extra).

Felt rushed by the waitress. My pasta was microwaved and the mushrooms were sandy. Sub standard. Then the cheek of a 12.5% service charge. Not impressed with the experience at all. I will not be returning.

A normal place. The place is cute and has quite a variety, but it's a little expensive and the waiter couldn't leave the table.

To be honest the food really wasn’t that nice.

We have used this restaurant a number of times to cater for groups of between 40 and 60 people. Our experience has been first rate on each occasion. The menu offers great variety and is a perfect balance of quality and affordability. The service is friendly, flexible and thoroughly professional.

Nice place to sit, good snacks and pub food. Service was not great, toilets are terrible. 12.5% discretionary gratuity added to the bill may come as a surprise to tourists unfamiliar with the concept of systematically underpaying your staff.

Hays Galleria is a nice converted wharf with some interesting sculpture and a nice collection of foodie venues. This cafe is perfect here. It does food with a twist on the traditional cafe fare. Really nice breakfasts competitively priced for the square mile, though cheaper and larger portions are available further south. The quality of the food and ingredients is high. I think this is one of the healthiest versions of the traditional breakfast. Friendly helpful service and good wifi.

It was not a nice experience; 4 of us ate here before going to the Bridge Theatre. Three of us ordered pizza, and one ordered pulled lamb & wedges. The food was so horrible that we left most of it, and the waitress reduced our bill by 50%. The toilets were not working, so you had to walk across the square to the public toilets with an entry code.

Le explicamos todo lo que queríamos era café, pero no, así que fuimos al pub Horniman y nos sentamos en su terraza con una gran vista del río. Gran café de lavazza, también, y nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos. En nuestro camino de regreso a través de Hay's Galleria, notamos que el café seguía abierto, así que fui a preguntar si habían cambiado de opinión sobre el cierre. Esta vez la excusa fue "Solo servimos bebidas". No es cierto. La pareja sentada en la mesa que habíamos intentado usar acababa de recibir café. Si discriminas a las personas, al menos consigue que tus excusas tengan sentido. Mi amiga tiene el pelo largo y barba, yo tengo 74 años. Tal vez no quieren que los viejos se sienten aquí. No te preocupes, nunca volveremos. Ve a White Mulberries enfrente para tomar mejor café, o ve a Horniman's para tomar mejor café y sin discriminación.

Poor maintenance. The lock on the toilet is broken and not adequately repaired. The second toilet is also broken. It does not flush down.

Appalling cafe with rude staff who tried to con us. We weren’t initially told until trying to order they were no longer doing food. As well as that, apparently their card machine & till weren’t working - was told our total was £27 so waited for our change from £30 cash. Suddenly the till was then working and we realised they’d initially overcharged us (meant to be £26.55) and then when waiting for change only got back £1 as they had the cheek to then not ask if we wanted to tip. Would NOT recommend at all - avoid & go to costa next door! £4.75 for a Coca Cola is also a rip off 😂

Potentially the worst cafe I have ever been to - was told no card machine or food although it was 45 minutes before it shut and saw others paying on card after. Made the price up 4 times and kept the change given from cash expecting a tip. One broken toilet and one disabled one which was unclean. Do not go here. Who charges £4.75 for a coke!!

Original cuisine with good dishes, notably pulled pork accompanied by potatoes or varied salads... Pretty covered terrace close to the Thames. Correct service, nothing more. Prices a little expensive €€€ (but you pay for the place).

This review is for Café Piazza, Hay's Galleria:- the Pancakes suspiciously looked like those mini pancakes off a supermarket shelf. This was confirmed when I asked the waitress if they were freshly made, she replied:- "not really". So I would NOT recommend paying £7.50 for something that was just thrown together!! 😕😕😕

Just had a coffee with my son. Coffee ok, but bill was £9.00 which included a pound service charge. Standard London prices. Can confirm the staff were friendly, but personally I would give this a miss, unless you are dining.

Opening hours on Sunday on google shows its open till 6pm, but we were turned down a table at 2.45pm saying they are closing soon(?). There are a few empty tables at the time so not sure if they are really closing or just didnt bother to have us

Cafe piazza was a nice place to stop for lunch. The food was delicious and I enjoyed their Angus burger. The food came with a tasty mayo sauce. Also the mint & lime cooler was very refreshing on a warmer day!

Food, coffee, patio atmosphere, are great! Service, was okay. Had to go up to staff to get my order put in and my check as well. WiFi is abysmally slow… maxed at 4mbps download and 0.92mbps upload…it’s giving dial up ☠️😭 Also 1-ply toilet paper is never the vibe

We visit England a couple of times a year to visit our son and family. This is our favorite breakfast place and we'll come 3 or 4 times every visit. Great service and food.

The only good point about the visit was being able to other coffee houses whilst we did not enjoy our experience. The coffee was foul and could not be described as the cappuccino we ordered. Despite the sign outside advertising "friendly staff" they were anything but friendly. The only toilet that was available (the other was closed) and was a disgrace, filthy and door did not close properly. The worst part was the price, £4.00 for a cappuccino and then they added a 12.5% service charge!

Lovely little café inside the Hays Galleria. Perfect for brunch, snacks or a drink break while you're walking your feet off on and around the iconic Tower Bridge. It is a small place but has indoor and outside seating. The staff is polite and the menu has interesting options. Coolers are the highlights for summer. Will visit again when in London! High five!

Located inside the Hay gallery, it has a terrace, which is the best option, a ventilated and covered space. The waiters very kind and friendly. The food is not bad, the meat of the hamburgers is a bit dry for my taste. The price is good, in the range of £70-100 for four people.

I had a delicious bacon pistachio pasta, a large glass of good house red, adequate espresso. The chairs outside were very uncomfortable, had to leave before I wanted .

Great place for lunch or dinner by the river and very close to London Bridge. I had a vegetarian salad and a cheese cake which were great.

Not worth your time! The food was bland and flavourless. The salad I ordered looked like a four year old could make it better. The potato wedges were dry and came 20 minutes late. The staff barely acknowledged us and served other people before us. The food took ages to arrive and was a disappointment when it finally did!! Plus we found hair in the sugar pot and dirty marks all over the table. I would not recommend wasting your time or money here at all!!

The hummus with crumbled feta and pomegranate was creamy and a delicious blend of tangy flavours. The couscous with raw courgette and red pepper salad was vibrant and complimented by the juicy salmon steak. The pulled pork burger was a comforting classic served with crispy potato wedges, the ultimate indulgence. For desserts, we had the red velvet cheesecake and the warm chocolate brownie, both heavenly treats. Overall, Café Piazza delivers delicious food that’s sure to please any palate.

A lovely cafe right by the river and London Bridge station. You can sit outside under cover in the archways at Hays Galleria which is lovely. We had the burrata and pulled lamb wedges to start - and the lamb was incredible! We then had the seafood pasta and bacon, pistachio and onion linguine and loved the combo of flavours. The red velvet cheesecake is also a must order - it was so delicious! We really enjoyed all the food, the great service and the atmosphere.

Thin, greasy piece of salmon full of bones . Tasteless orzo . Extremely expensive for what you get ! Service was efficient and pleasant . Interesting place to eat but food can be described as shocking .

Popped in for sharing dishes before catching the train home. Nachos with cheese and sour cream poor quality..no skills involved.. just cheese sauce from a jar.. not worth £10 Hummus paid lip service to feta and pomegranates... about 10 pomegranate grains and a minute sprinkling of crumbled feta. Overpriced and markedly underwhelming. Staff very pleasant.

The food was amazing we loved the pizzas ( Turkey style pizza & Happy days pizza ) and there desserts we had red velvet and Banana it tastes very good , for the service I will give 5 /5 … the waitress welcomed with her smile overall the service was good and the atmosphere is pretty decent. I can recommend to try there pizzas and desserts.

Ate here on 25th. My Seafood linguine was hot and a good portion with a good amount of prawns and mussels. However it lacked flavour and had no seasoning. My wife had a margarita pizza which looked poor and after one mouthful she sent it back. Undercooked, sloppy and tasteless. They even tried to add a service charge which I refused to pay. Won't be going there again.

We went with 4 German friends on 12/4. Nice place with nice atmosphere but apart from a pleasant female waitress, the male waiters were poor! We had to send back a pizza where the chicken was cold, then they returned the same pizza with the crusts black! Eventually they took it off the bill. After that they were rude! Shame because it looks a nice place!

Visited this eatery with a colleague during our lunch break and encountered a senior waiter who was rather curt. Initially, his demeanor was sarcastic regarding seating arrangements, and when we inquired about customizing a pizza, his response was dismissive, insisting that alterations were not entertained, even for allergies. This treatment of patrons contradicts typical customer service norms essential for sustaining a successful business. When we requested a few moments to decide on our order, his responses were laced with sarcasm and accompanied by eye-rolling and muttered remarks. Upon settling the bill, his tone remained snide, assuming we might abscond without payment. Throughout the interaction, his demeanor was consistently impolite, devoid of any warmth or courtesy. His interactions with other patrons appeared jovial in contrast, indicating a selective display of congeniality. Unfortunately, the pizza fell short of expectations, being excessively oily, and the beverages failed to impress. Regrettably, we won't be revisiting this establishment.

The best service in London!! Me and my wife came yesterday for lunch and had the most lovely time. We were greeted by a friendly waiter and served very quickly even though it was busy. We ordered a burger and pizza which were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. This place is a must visit if you are in the area, not to be missed! 5⭐️

Go somewhere else. We needed to eat prior to a show and on the internet, the Cafe Piazza at 18/19 Hays Galleria looked like the ideal venue and I booked a table. When we got there however, I thought I had the wrong place as it’s overly lit yet somehow dingy interior over filled with formica tables yet bereft of customers seemed out of place amongst its happier neighbours. We did walk on and found another venue but this was unfortunately booked out so we returned to the Cafe Piazza. Having chosen a wine, we were offered an entirely different bottle which was politely swapped back. The menu is very limited but the food (burger and pizza) was actually not bad though the cost of this basic meal with wine at £75 seemed expensive. The cherry on top however was definitely the mouse running around the floor. Surely not a good thing in a restaurant?!!

Absolutely not good, unpleasant waiter and very expensive. As soon as we arrive, the tone is set, the waiter walks among us, telling us to sit anywhere and goes outside (where there was absolutely no one). We settle down after 20 minutes, we place an order (we are French but we speak English, however, we need a little time to adapt to understand what seemed to be irritating him) we order two Burgers and a bottle of water with two glasses. He explains to us that the bottle is small, we tell him that it doesn’t matter. Our £7 bottle of water arrived with just one glass, just to prove to us that he only had a moderate appreciation for the French, he slammed it on the table for us before leaving. The burgers arrive without cheese, we ask a waitress (very friendly and helpful) who explains to us that we should have specified because there is a supplement. Conclusion £44 (with service) for two Burgers with overcooked meat, a leaf of salad, three slices of tomatoes and a mysterious sauce, not even good and a service that made us want to run away.

Lovely place. Good staff, good food. The only thing I’d say: toast ingredients says chilli oil not sauce but it’s okay. There are a few things I’d recommend to improve to make atmosphere better but maybe they are planning refurbishment anyway. will definitely come back for a glass of wine with their food.

Very bad experience. We arrived at 11:50am. We are initially told that we will be able to eat in 10 minutes, from 12:00 p.m. At 12:05 p.m., we ask another waitress if we can now have the menu to make our choice. We were told once again that we had to wait 10 minutes. On the third request, we end up getting the card. We each choose a pasta dish. Pasta with cream, chicken and mushrooms was disgusting. Served in a deep plate, these were bathed in 2 centimeters of oil. At the time of the bill, the waiter stubbornly wanted to make us pay in euros and not in pounds on the bank card TPE. As a result, we spent 15 minutes at the checkout.

Visited at lunch time for quick bite, food wasn't bad but description wasn't exactly what we got, service was on the poorer site, no upselling and 12.5% gratuity added to bill wasn't exactly deserved for service

Exceptional full English breakfast. Absolutely delicious and full of flavour! Very reasonably priced at £12.50
