Incredibly kind Manager took the time to walk through the restaurant with me showing every item that was made to a vegan recipe. More than adequate options to have a substantial meal. He also candidly informed that at a buffet cross-contamination may be possible due to the nature of a buffet. Incredible kindness and customer service; thank you.

Absolutely disgusting.. food was all very cold .. lamb chops which were meant to be grilled was just boiled and cold.. meat in the kabab stink.. chicken in Chinese stalls made me puke all my food it was so bad. All starters were cold and tasteless. Will never come to this place again for wasting my 22 pounds per person and 11 for a child under 10. Very disappointing.

Amazing evening at ziryab today food was spot on really fresh and tasty. Been to all the buffets in Birmingham but this by Far is my family's favourite big hit with the kids too. The lady at the front Samreen is such an amazing lady always welcoming and helpful .

Absolutely love dining here. The staff are so welcoming. The food is always fresh and there is a huge variety. The place is clean and hygienic. The best buffet around in my opinion!

Not a very good experience. Food was of cheap quality and not tasty at all. Apart from 3 or 4 items. Owner should concentrate on taste and quality. 22£ buffet is expensive and should be value for money.

I just visited first time zaryab and i am highly impressed with their food, atmosphere, ambiance, and their cooperative staff especially samreen thank you for your love and kindness towards us. And in sha Allah will visit you soon.

We had a big plan to enjoy a nice family outing and decided to visit this buffet restaurant, even driving over an hour to get there. A few months ago, this place was actually very good, which made us even more excited to return. But something has definitely changed—and not in a good way. The food looked unappetizing, with no taste and no quality at all. Everything was overly oily, and most of it was served cold. The desserts were far too sweet and lacked any real flavor. To top it off, the service felt very unwelcoming and inattentive. It’s really disappointing to see how far this place has gone downhill. Definitely not worth the long drive or the money anymore.Looks like we wasted our 200£ I would recommend to the owner's to review their business strategy if they really want to run this restaurant.

A disappointing visit. The buffet is all about quantity over quality - bland, lukewarm food with little variety or freshness. Drinks were just artificially coloured liquids with no real flavour. Desserts were equally poor: dry, overly sweet, and clearly mass-produced. The atmosphere was loud and chaotic, and the tables were shaky and uncomfortable, making the whole experience feel rushed and unpleasant. Definitely wouldn’t return.

We went as a group and I have to say no-one liked the food. It was dry, seemed like it was cooked hours earlier and reheated. The atmosphere was non-existent, the only positive was the desserts. I still cannot believe it's the same price as Zauq!

Food was good, there was loads of options; I noticed some foods are hidden and need to be asked for such as lamb chops/cake. I will be coming again. Yum.

Very rubbish went a few days ago. The food was all over the place and messy and the atmosphere gave off very dirty vibes. The only good thing there was the salad and that says a lot about the place. We had to wait 20 mins for deserts and even then the Gulab Jamuns were tiny and not fresh. The curries were bland and the rice was hard and it gave me the impression that it was cooked yesterday and got reheated- showing the hardness of the rice. All the options were very bland and there was no consistency. Would definitely not recommend to a friend and would not even wish this on my worst enemy!

This is my third visit and would love to visit again, food quality is great and friendly welcoming staff.

Over rated. This place does not worth it. Food is not good too much oily: unhygienically cooked as chief did not wear any gloves. No food labelling. Purposefully delaying or hiding away lamb chops and kebabs. Staff was not even dressed properly they were wearing traditional dress. I thought they are customers. Less staff and less experienced staff. Place looks like a warehouse turned in restaurant. Lights and whole building is old fashioned. Especially lighting is horrible. Never recommend if you wanna treat your english friends with asian food.

The food was VERY NICELY COOKED, with a large VARIATION. VIKRAM and some of the staff were exceptional, while others were not there mentally.

Atrocious place. Floor was dirty, food was disgusting and the venue was depressingly dark. I expected a huge selection of dishes but was disappointed with how simple and bland the food was. And for some reason there was a foul smell. The only redeeming factor was their white tiramisu, which I admit was pretty good. Will definitely not be going here again.

If you’re looking for an authentic dining experience, avoid this buffet at all costs. The food was bland, lacked any genuine flavor, and felt more like a cheap, watered-down attempt at various cuisines than anything remotely authentic. To top it off, the service was just as disappointing. The female manager at the front door was rude, dismissive, and clearly in need of some basic training in hospitality and manners. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in the city. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Great food options, lamb chops were succulent juicy meat with marinade, lots of options, great curries most tasting good, lots of meats and good amounts provided. Also manager named zareen really helpful, kind and always welcoming, provides excellent customer service and looks after us whenever we come as we are regular customers.

Drove all the way from Reading to meet a friend at this place and got turned away at the till on Saturday. Apparently they were closing ... at 8pm. It looked like to me they were prioritising big groups anyone under a group of 5 wasn't getting in. Very sad as this is the holy month of Ramadan. Profiteering of the community during such a time is a horrible look

This restaurant is very poorly organized and dirty. The food is not healthy at all—almost everything is fried. Honestly, I think this is the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at in my life.

Worst ever iftaar buffet ever. Almost 70% dishes not available during ramadan and still charging same prices. Meat is so chewable in almost all of the main dishes and no consistency in filling up the buffet. Most if the dishes were empty and waiting to be filled. Never going back again

Great variety of food, freshly cooked starters, has it's own car park and there is additaonal on-street parking. Can get extremely busy, no booking service. Enjoy it

Been here many times. It was really good before. Now it's disappointing. Tasteless food 🤢!!! No more LAMB 🐑 CHOPS for Ramadan presumably. They have reduced some good items on the menu!!! Wasted our money, very disappointed. Management is not really interested in our feedback either. Thank me later for alerting everyone.

Lot of dishes there but unfortunately even a single is not upto the mark. Serving cooooold food even during the peak hours. Better to take one dish of shanwari and experience the real taste of food.

For anyone that likes subcontinental food, I would recommend it considering the price and all.

Originally wanted to go zauk for iftar but it was closed for renovation. Ended up here. The food was absolutely horrible. Beside few starters. Only decent thing I liked was their fruit salad and mango lassi.

We had a family wedding here and it was absolutely fantastic, loved it had a great variety of food, service was great usually buffets are hesitant on the lamb chops but here they was so good loved the haleem, had no issues. Parking was great plenty of space, they even had a set up for the cake and a stage aswell!

Lots of wonderful savoury food choices... desserts a disppointment... fizz ran out on two of the drinks choices... the cheap cutlery needs upscaling... minimum car parking/ no car park spaces, very noisy... only £22 per adult for a buffet...

Went here on new years day took the family the foods is very good different varitys of food starters r nice chicken and spinach balti is nice fish baltis great ice cream jalabis r nice everythings good really recommend this place :

It was really bad. The seating was cramped with no personal space, food was fried really badly! I tried the lasagne but that was as if gone wrong for days! The chicken drumsticks and pakoras were somewhat ok, but the rest of the section is not good, i would not recommend!

Honestly, this was used to be our number 1 choice but not anymore. Food sort of still good, however, service has severely declined compared to the newer buffet restaurants. Zouq way better while Royal Shalimar is also great. The place is dark and now the decor is dated. The restaurant so cold we had to sit in with our jackets on. Waiting area freezing. You cannot pay separately…. Why not? Because we get charged? So? Then cash machine for tax purposes? Honestly, I want this place to do well as I have been a massive fan. Last two trips both disappointing. Please read the review with an open mind and see how you can once again become the best. Positives - Naan, amazing. Chops and starters, really nice, veg curries good. Drinks decent. Price, should be competitive and stick to £20.

If i could give this a 0 star I WOULD TRUST ME. Staff was so rude from the beginning when i first arrived with my family of 3. My child is 11 but eats a portion of a picky 6year old. moral of the story is she doesn’t eat much. I tried letting the staff at the till know about this and we just wanted to pay a £11 fee for a child ticket (up to 10 years old). Ended up paying £66. Food was terrible, the only time i’d ever eat it again was if the world was ending and i either die or i survive by eating this terrible food. then again just thinking about my experience would make me wonder if dying is worth keeping my mouth from suffering again. Never coming here again. The staff behind the food counters were so stingy i expected 2-3 lamb chops and i got 1. i got told to finish the one i got first for a second one. How rude. i’m not the type to waste food either. I hate this place and i’m never coming again, save yourself some money and go somewhere else.

Ah, what a *gourmet delight*! For just £22, I had the once-in-a-lifetime experience of eating food so oily that I’m pretty sure I could have bottled it up and started my own cooking oil business. The fried chicken? More grease than meat. The noodles? Slippery enough to escape my fork like they had somewhere better to be. Even the bread somehow glistened like it had taken a bath in a deep fryer. And let’s not forget the paya soup—sorry, I mean *seasoned oil with floating bits*. By the end of the meal, I wasn’t sure if I had eaten dinner or just chugged a bottle of vegetable oil. But hey, at least my hands got a free moisturization treatment! £22 well spent—if my goal was to destroy my stomach lining in record time.

Very bad taste and not good atmosphere

Been going there since it was built. Sadly it's standards been going downhill since then. On my last visit all the food was old and cold. Really chewy lamb chops nothing seemed fresh. All the curries tasted the same. This is my local place but I think this was my last visit l. Unless they get their act together and increase their standard.

Fantastic experience with a wide range of options for Pakistani cuisine. BBQ dishes could be improved a lot. The kebabs are dry. Lamb chops could be more juicy but overall it was a delightful experience and I'm looking forward to going again.

It is sad to say this place has lost some of its quality and service. Majority of the food tasted the same. The cleanliness was lacking & customers childrrn were being allowed to finger food. There should be people keeping an eye on such things. The starters were nice. Alot of the food was oily. The drinks machines were not all in working order which created queues. The restaurant manager should be on top of these things! The car park is such tight parking!

Excellent experience again at Ziryab, really good quality food for a buffet. Particularly love their mini chapli kebabs, grilled lamb chops, lahori fried fish, kofta curry, namkim gosht. I'm only mentioning my favourites, lots of variety and it's all decent quality. Soft drinks included, you can refill these yourself. Plenty of desi and normal desserts.

Good relaxing environment, lot of choice and food was fresh & good quality

All good, loved the food. Only thing we missed is Hot tea / Green tea, rest all nice. Quiet lovely location. Parking was sufficient.

I liked the food. It had diverse options like Chinese or Italian and I really enjoyed the Indian section but I had one problem.the toilet was unkept ,the toilets didnt flush and the water was unfortunately cold overall the staff were nice and came to ask us regularly if we needed anything ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food was not fresh. Chicken was smelly. Chutneys were over sweetened. Ice creams were also over sweetened. Not worth it.

Very unprofessional and rude receptionist. They do not take more than one card payment on the same table. Obviously we did not know that. She started screaming, "Only one card, only one card. Pay cash, pay cash. " Then later we we saw her picking food with barehand from the buffet section and eating, which is a disgusting thing to do. These all things could've been justified if food was good. Food tasted horrible. This place had a good reputation when it was new. It's a shame it's gone down the hill. Some people may like it but I would suggest anyone to stay away from this place.
