Zeus in Glasgow City

The food was all frozen, pre-cooked reheated frozen gyros, You could hear the sound of the microwave coming from the kitchen to the table outside, There was nothing fresh about any ingredients. Dog sausages, They were not Greek, Nothing to do with Greek food Avoid at all costs, money theft for the dog food you receive, better to go to macdonals.

Mediocre food would be overstatement,not worth the 40£ paid.Had a chicken and a pork gyros as well as a portion of dolmadakia.Gyros had zero soul..tzatziki was not enough to make it "slide" 2 slices of tomato barely any onion,meat on both overcook. Dolmadakia was canned,very dense.Wouldn't recommend

Best Greek food in Glasgow. Me and my partner love it that much that’s the only takeaway we go for now. It’s just so fresh and taste amazing. The owners are so nice and welcoming. If you haven’t had Greek food before go here you will not regret it.

Pick up order and eat at home. The shop is small but well decorated. I ordered pita wrap which is good. My husband ordered Gyros portion with chicken, also good.

I’ve been to Zeus a good few times now , but I went last night after winning one of their great competitions on Instagram. I won 2x gyros garlic bread, 2 Greek donuts and 2 juices I also ordered a skepasti for family who were also up. My family and I loved everything portion size was amazing and the quality of food and taste was top tier. A fantastic way to end was the loukomades ( Greek donuts) one With Nutella and one with honey cinnamon I could’ve eat all for just me so moorish. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience and can’t wait to go back for more and maybe finally defeat the Olympus 🇬🇷 😋

After trying a few Greek restaurants elsewhere, it was good to see one closer to home, so had to pop in... Though it is setup more for takeaway, I did sit-in as there are still a few tables/seats available. Started with the saganaki and this was a pleasant change to usually seen halloumi and I would recommend trying at least once. Main I went for the tsopanopita - which was basically a platter of gyros meat, pita plus a bit everything you would expect from a Greek feast, Fantastic! and the mustard mayo too was something else! All was flavourful, fresh and well cooked and all at a fair price considering the generous portion sizes. Would very much hope to make it back again during 2024 and will be recommending to others for sure. Also took a galaktoboureko home with me, which will be had tomorrow no doubt. It was quiet when I went in and the owner was happy to chat and a really friendly and welcoming guy.

We decided to go down the Greek route for our takeaway, ordering from Zeus through the Just Eat app. We kept it very simple, ordering two Pitta Wraps - one Chicken Gyro and one Halloumi. My wife went for the regular size while I upped it a level to the grand (large) portion. Honestly, the food was pretty decent - difficult to eat with regard to its structure (food falling out all ways) but it was packed with good ingredients. The meat was well cooked (plenty of it as well) and the Tzatziki was spot on. We ordered additional Tzatziki and Mustard Mayo dips (definitely needed for the portion sizes). The delivery was slightly longer than expected but nothing to complain about in too much detail. The cost was moderate, helped with what I thought was a cheap delivery fee. Well worthy of a 4/5 rating!

I ordered takeaway, and ordered the larger Olympus (£32) which is supposed to be for two. The box that you get this meal in is around the size of. 12/14 inch pizza box. You get chips, clearly just frozen fries, and a selection of meats including fried garlic sausage which is quite frankly worse than dog meat!! There is also two chicken kebabs, one pork kebab, chicken slices that you would find in a Greek kebab, two pork sausages and two rectangular land style sausage things. There is also some bread. I’m sorry, but there is NO WAY that meat and the frozen chips is anywhere near £32 worth of food. Apart from anything else it’s clearly the cheapest of processed junk meat. Then there’s the kids pizza (photo attached) I got the one with the meatballs that’s they’re charging almost £7 for. My hand (and I’m female) was bigger than the pizza?? Again it’s not even meatballs that is on the pizza it was cheap sliced sausage. It was nothing short of disgusting and my 6 year old refused to eat it. Rest assured I will never be back!

Only one word wow !!! This place is phenomenal that is hands down is the best greek food i’ve tried in Scotland. Me and my mrs where in tonight for a takeaway we had this place on our list for a while and it did not disappoint. We got the feta sticks for a starter 10/10, pastry and filling where exceptional, we got the skepasti for the mains and wow they where beautiful, so much filling on these honestly we could’ve halved it lol, the bread lovely and fluffy, the fillings where brilliant as well, they put a mustard mayo on it along with cheese think it may be halloumi and it all just blends perfectly, also got the dips so fresh and can tell they are homemade, then the baklava cheesecake for dessert and you guessed it another 10/10. Looking forward to our next visit to try some more of the starters.

My partner and me went here to have some good food and we weren't disappointed. Food was delicious,portions are big and it's great value for money. Place is clean and nicely decorated and staff is very polite and fast. We can't wait to go back. Well done.

The place is nicely tucked away on Maryhill road, quite in the view if you drive by. The store prefers mostly takeaway but there are 3 tables for a nice cafe-style sit-in. The food is priced moderately for the quantity, compared with other Greek places in the city. Despite that I sat in, the presentation seemed kinda disappointing in takeaway containers. For starters , the feta sticks were sweetish and pleasant (without a dip) The Olympus for one was more than adequate for a single person but the mixed gyro and the sausage seemed a bit dry for the platter. My favorite of the whole meal was the baklava cheesecake which I'd recommend is a must try for the combination of the creaminess and the sweet syrup drenched baklava, which I relished the most. All in all, this is a nice place for a Greek gateway or a mini-date.

Not sure why the food is supposedly highly rated as was dry and mediocre at best, it was only matched by the abysmal customer service. Ordered a load of food and when it came one of the meals was supposed to be a 20 inch flatbread which turned out to be 20cm, for fifteen pound. When I rang I was told the manager was off and that they had received complaints before about the "misprint" online...but hadn't removed it. I was told he couldn't do anything about this and that he'd get the manager to ring next day....that was days ago and still waiting. Will avoid this place just like you should.

Hands down our favourite takeaway! The food is incredible, the delivery is always on time and they've never once forgotten an item on the order. If you pop in for collection, they're always super friendly too. Head and shoulders above everyone else!

Its a small place to eat in but is more for takeaway , but there is a few tables there all the same . Staff are friendly and very accommodating we had came from cumbernauld, and by the time we had eaten it was passed closing time . The food was excellent and very good value for money , struggled to finish what we had ordered as there very generous with portions . Hopfully these guys get a larger place to work from and give us more awesome greek food .

Zeus brings to Glasgow what’s been missing forever when it comes to Greek food, good, tasty Greek cuisine, portions which you’d expect if you were in Greece, at a reasonable price. Visited last night and have to say, guy serving was a gentleman, polite, happy to talk through menu options and recommendations without having to ask. Nicely decorated unit, random location, however, it’s a Glasgow trait that all the best small food pop ups usually are! I went for the Greek Biftekia, I was shocked when I was told this was the smallest and it actually came in 2 bigger sizes! “2 Greek mountain burgers served with hand cut chips, salad and mustard-lemon sauce and a side of tzatziki” it was strange to see mustard on a Greek dish but it was delicious! Will definitely be back, it’s the best Greek experience I’ve had in Glasgow!

For a wee takeaway hidden away on Maryhill Road this place is the ultimate hidden gem. I could not recommend this little takeaway any higher. Best food I've tried in a long time and the staff are really friendly. 10/10

Tried Zeus tonight for the 1st time and I really enjoyed it all, I had the Olympus for one and my daughter and partner had the chicken skepasti we all really enjoyed the food an will go again to try some more dishes from the menu... well worth a try especially if in the area... saying that I drove over from paisley just to try it and wasnt disappointed.

Think the gyro price should be looked at. Price doubles if you go for a large. But regardless of price the food here was amazing. I would and definitely will be back without a doubt

A little disappointed felt like I'm basically paying for chip gyros hardly any chicken not impressed. Just wanted to update my review I never said food wasn't nice it was just too much chips not enough chicken As for other reviews I've left on Google there's been many reasons for that as I did end up hospitalised with campylobactre through food I have received and I have received many undercooked meat or off meat so of course I'm going to review these places.

After having tried several places for Greek food this place is by far the best. Also struggling to understand the reviews about pitiful portions, whenever I’ve had anything from here it’s been plentiful. I can’t think of any competition when it comes to taste, this place is sensational! Highly recommend the Skepasti.

Probably one of the best Greek food I had here in the UK, their skepasti had nothing to envy to the last one I had in Cyprus. First , I just want to highlight how lovely staff are, so welcoming and helpful, up for a chat when it's not crazy busy and they took the time to check we enjoy the food afterwards. Great service guys! We opted for a takeaway and ordere the Skepasti - acropolis version - to share and it was incredible! It can be chicken or pork based, with tomatoes, fries, cheese, between two grilled pitas. This could serve 4 people I reckon, but the three of us devoured in no time!!! Absolutely amazing - the guys don't skimp on the fillings as you can see🤤 The sauce inside (mustard mayo) was so tasty and it reminded me so much about the one i had in Cypus! They also had other dips and our favourites were the tzatziki and tirokafteri😋

I recently had the pleasure of ordering from Zeus and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish! First and foremost, the food was out of this world! The flavors were authentic and vibrant, the ingredients were fresh, and the dishes were prepared with utmost care. Every dish showcased the culinary expertise of the chefs and left me craving for more. Moreover, the delivery service was exceptional and the order arrived perfectly on time. Having tried various Greek restaurants and take aways in the city, I can confidently say that this stands head and shoulders above the rest. The overall experience was impeccable, and I simply cannot resist the temptation to savor those mouthwatering flavors once more!

We absolutely love Greek food as I used to live in a few different islands in my younger days it is very hard to find an Authentic Greek food places in Scotland I have tried many and we can always tell if it is a Greek chef or not. Everything was amazing so Fresh and tasty. The owner was lovely also got chatting and you can tell how passionate he is with his new venture wish you all the best. We drove from paisley just to try here as we could tell by videos we seen the food was the real deal. I have never liked Tzatziki but I thought I would try it here WOW! So fresh and tasted amazing also. My only peeve would be to have metal cutlery as trying to get into what I was eating, plastic forks didn't cut it lol but that's personal preference. We will be back already wanting to try loads more off the menu

Ordering the last couple of months on a regular basis from Zeus I can say I’m impressed and super happy with them!! Amazing quality, great portions and the only Greek place in Glasgow that reminds me of the food I used to eat back in Athens. Service is excellent and when they deliver to my flat (I think I’m just in their delivery radius) I always take advantage to it! I totally recommend it and hope you keep the same quality and prices. Very over priced and chicken does not have any favour

I have ordered various times using mainly Uber eats ! The food is always good and the service great ! HOWEVER it is not in the same standards as as a loyal customer I left a note last time to just eat! The gyros this time was super dry as it was over cooked probably from Previous days! I left my feedback (every other time 6 stars) and they replied that they do not know me as a customer and they have noted down my address which I found at least strange! ANYWAY i will not order again and I am sharing that review as I have ordered so many times and left great review and this instance instead of my feedback taken onboard I was told instead that my address is now noted!

We got there yesterday to get some food for a night with our friends . We got the Olympus , a Gyros club and a Skepasti. Food was piping hot and smell like home . Staff was very helpful and polite . The owner Tasos gave us our food and chatted with us . Olympus for 2 people was a massive portion and everything was delicious . Skepasti and gyros club were massive too . Zeus gyros is exactly like the ones we have back home . Tasty not heavily spiced and not greasy at all. We really enjoyed everything and we are definitely gonna be back for more .

So glad to have found this wee gem of a place! Foods amazing so so fresh and tasty and the family are lovely honestly so impressed my new fav place.

5 Stars all round!! I've visited 3 times now and every time is as good as the last! Staff are welcoming and helpful, the food is unreal. I really can't rate it high enough. The Fegaropitta is superb, definitely my new favourite 👌🏻 Gyros are brilliant as well! Can't wait to try more of the menu!

Probably the best Greek food I’ve ever had - even better than when I was actually in Greece! The staff are so lovely and took the time to check we enjoy the food and genuinely wanted us to enjoy it. Their passion for the food is obvious to anyone. The food itself is of such good quality and was prepared quickly, piping hot and just incredible. The tiorkaftery is particularly good! Already planning our next visit and looking forward to seeing a family business thrive.

Excellent Greek food in an unassuming spot! The skepasti is unlike anything I've had before, and absolutely delicious. The halloumi fries, pita and dips are also great. Definitely a hidden gem in Maryhill.

This is exactly as you will get it in Greece. Even the mustard and ketch-up are authentic. Thankfully, it is not adjusted to fit into mainstream fastfood demands, but the tzatziki is strong, the sausage spicy, the chips with oregano and the sweets (galakotbureko!!) just as you will find it in the streets of Athens. And big portions, for a very good price!

The food is delicious, true greek ingredients and recipes, and the portions are big and filling. The second time I ordered, I collected only to say hi and to tell them how awesome they are doing. Nicest staff ever. They even treated me to some greek doughnuts, which by the way, are insanely good!

Got my first takeaway here and it was delicious. Very fresh and tasty food. Mixed grill and could not finish by myself. So if you love Greek food. Go try this one

Incredible authentic greek deliciousness! So delighted Zeus has landed in Maryhill. Having visited Cyprus many times, we love greek food. The quality, flavours and portion sizes did not disappoint. The Olympus was epic as was the halloumi. Will definitely be back for more. Loved it!

Blown away by Zeus- the food is better than what I ate in Greece! We got the Olympius meal to share as it had a bit of everything in it and WOW- it was fantastic value for money filled with different meats, dips, breads etc! The portion size was incredibly generous (the two of us could not finish it all despite being starving!) but more than anything blown away by the quality of the produce for the price! We also got the baklava and orange dessert, both of which were amazing and you can taste that they are homemade and super fresh 😍 to top it off the food was prepared very fast. I will be returning soon!

We really enjoyed the gyro. The donuts were really good, so different. As for other reviews: our food could have been a little warmer, but that's more an Uber issue, as the gyro was well wrapped by the venue, it sometimes happens with delivery and even pick-up. As for the portion sizes, yes we would have liked it bigger (but that would have been out of greed) as it was so good! To call it pitiful is shocking, as the size is very reasonable, and with the bogof, it's excellent value. The food is fresh tasting and absolutely no grease or fat. The food is totally different from your tandoori kebab/hoaggie, were we know what we are going to get, cheap meat in a pita. The gyros here are far from that and a far superior meal, more restaurant/cafe quality in your home. I am glad that Maryhill has been getting some new shops/restaurants/cafes/takeaways, and this is an excellent new addition.

Authentic Greek takeaway with delicious food, big portion sizes and reasonable prices. Have ordered food from there twice already and haven't been disappointed. Chicken skepasti was very tasty, mixed tsopanopita didn’t disappoint as well. I highly recommend the Greek donuts for the desert - get them mixed with honey and cinnamon and Nutella. I am very surprised by the 1 star review saying that the Olympus was ridiculously small - we order with the same Uber Eats deal(buy 1, get 1 free) and had the dinner and next day lunch for the two of us sorted. You are getting so much meat and you are tasting all kinds of meat they are offering which is really good. Indeed the tzatziki could be more as you are getting dip not a full portion, but it is very tasty and you can always order more tzatziki if you are a fan. Will definitely order again!

Food got to me cold. Also, portions are pitiful and everything is overpriced. As an example, the amount of Tzatziki you get with some meals like Olympus is ridiculously small and prices of drinks are excessive. The funny part is I ordered in when there was a promotion on Uber Eats (buy 1 get 1 free). Even though I received 1 meal extra, I still consider myself scammed - imagine the value of this order without an extra portion. Sad.
