Popped in as we were passing through area and wanted to take our son, who lives in area, for brunch. He recommended Zealand but even he was impressed. Firstly very welcoming. Best cappuccino. Large menu offering just about anything you could want. All the plates of food are very well presented, look very appetising, taste good with great flavour combinations, good quality ingredients, generous portions, reasonably priced, so unusual to find such a combination these days. They clearly love food to take such care. If we lived in the area we'd be back regularly. Its now my son's favourite and he's local!

We popped in hungry and in search of a breakfast. The staff were friendly and it’s a lovely environment but ultimately the farmers breakfast was what made it phenomenal, perfectly cooked and well presented, possibly the best breakfast I’ve had this year!

We went to Zealand Road Coffee Shop for brunch on a Sunday morning with friends. There was an excellent choice of breakfasts and we had a farmers, mediterranean and vegan breakfast. All of which were cooked to order and enjoyed by all! The bill was approx £60 for the 4 of us including 3 smoothies and a cup of tea. We would happily return if we are in the area again.

We were in London for a few days and discovered the Zealand Cafe whilst looking for a place to eat. The food is excellent with a really good choice at fair prices. Service was great and the cafe is very attractive inside. We would definitely recommend Zealand cafe.

Down in London for the weekend, wanted brunch and came upon the Zealand. Really lovely generous full English breakfast, great value, nice coffee too. Was busy but got a table. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Went on a Friday 9am with my laptop and sat down. Then went to order a tea to begin with, pay for it and then the guy told me I could only stay for 1 hour if I was going to be working on my laptop. I said that I was obviously planning to order food and more drinks and that a friend was also going to join me later. He still said that I could only stay for 1 hour as he had to make some money and that other people would be coming. I told him again that I was going to keep ordering stuff but he still said I could only stay for 1 hour!!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous!!! This is a Cafe with more than 15 tables! The food didn’t even look that nice so I’m glad I left and found a really beautiful and cozy Cafe next door very welcoming where I sat for the whole day working in piece and ordering coffees and snacks! Needless to say I’d never come back to Zealand, all they want is your money and it’s got terrible vibes!

I'm appalled by the owner of this place. He is incredibly rude to the customers and has these weird rules - eg if you have a laptop, you have to sit in the back of the cafe (at a sticky table) and are not allowed to sit in the front where 'other customers' might want to sit. The cafe is clearly used by the neighbourhood as a place to work, so I don't understand why these rules.

Clean, spacious, non intrusive really polite service , great mix of music, not too loud (yes I’m 61) food gorgeous. Hot tasty and served on plates that have raised edging (so old folk don’t spill it) 😂 my daughters are regulars and I will def go back 10/10

Excellent breakfast! Can’t believe I’ve only just discovered this place after living in East for almost 4 years. Went back twice in one week. Will be a frequent visitor. Friendly staff and felt COVID safe.

I always visit here for a coffee when I am in East London. Best flat white around. That’s all I need to say.

One look at the clientelle and the layout and you can see this place is trying to be a hipster type cafe. The prices also suggest the same, I’m happy to pay top dollar for good food and service unfortunately this place delivers neither. The staff are polite but the time from ordering to getting the food is terrible. So you’d expect that all the time they have in the kitchen to prepare (about 35 min wait for a full English ) would mean some kind of breakfast extravaganza would emerge ! That’s sadly as far from expectation as you can get .... Instead what was served was a hotch potch of cold, lukewarm and tepid food. The beans were actually stone cold, the sausage & egg tepid, everything else just about warm we had waited for so long for anything to arrive that we hurriedly consumed things rather than wait any longer for anything else to lose what little temperature it had left in it ! The picture looks great but the taste of cold sausage (possibly undercooked also) was not

In this restaurant you have a breakfast that can be considered as a brunch. In the main course, you have a full English breakfast, vegetarian or vegan. The vegetarian consists of mushrooms, eggs, potatoes, spinach, wonderful bread, tomato and sauces. The lattes are also special. It is so good that you can get hooked.

They recently updated their food menu, including a full english. I initially balked a bit at the price (£11) but it was genuinely the best fry up I've ever had. The hash browns are crispier than I thought could ever be achieved by mere mortals and it comes with a pot of indescribably peng chutney that complements every component on the plate. The coffee is amazing too. 100%, 10/10, I bloody love it.

Good coffee, properly prepared. Nice seating at the back and, in the warm months, outside. Staff was professional, prices are at the high end for the area.

Hello, this is one of my favorite spot for a morning coffee and pastries in the neighborhood. The eclairs au chocolat in particular are my favorite. However, my only remark would be that the croissants used to be more fresh and tastier a couple of months ago, not sure if you changed anything in the way you’re baking them

More a small takeaway branch. Very few mainly high seat stools. The energy crunch bircher was good. Very satisfying. Although high in calories, it does fill you up. Clean. Staff were pleasant and friendly.
