Just been and had an amazing experience from start to finish the staff were so friendly the food was amazing and we said it was our anniversary and they came out with a lovely surprise of shots and cheesecake. came on Saturday night, food is really tasty but portion sizes are the smallest I've ever seen in any Indian restaurant. nice decor and atmosphere although slightly strange that they insist on taking a video of your food on the table before you're allowed to start eating! had a nice meal but wouldn't rush back.

Myself and my wife booked a table for five o'clock for tonight as it is our 1 year wedding anniversary. We booked this table 5 days in advance through the website and when we arrived at the restaurant its was closed. I could see by looking online that they open at 17:10hrs so we waited around until 17:35hrs to find the restaurant had still not opened!! I have tried calling multiple times to no answer!! This has completely ruined our night as we cannot find anywhere else at this time due to the short notice!! I had also checked the website and facebook page with neither saying that the restaurant would be closed! It’s common decency to let us know considering we had booked a table! Avoid this place like the plague which is such a shame as we have had previous nice meals here. Thanks for ruining our 1 year anniversary.

Had a wonderful experience here last night. Myself and my partner treated ourselves for our anniversary which in conversation came out. We have been here several times before and always enjoyed it. The food is great and staff attentive. At the end of our meal one of the staff brought us a complementary cake. And wished us happy anniversary. This meant so much. A simple gesture. Perfect. Wonderful customer service. Well done to all staff.

Wow! Probably the best Indian food I've ever had! Just had dinner at Zaika tonight, myself, wife and mum went here for a midweek dinner. Having grown up in Blaby it used to be Chamelee, which had mixed reviews. Visiting my Mum in blaby, thought we would try Zaika after change of ownership. What a great decision, the atmosphere and surroundings is lovely. Food was incredible, we all had the set menu. Paneer with the seasoning was delicious. Main had a vegetable balti, usually nothing too exciting. However the balti here was an abundance of flavour and taste! The balti was a 10/10 and really highlighted what you can do with a curry without meat in. Highlights that a vegetarian curry does not need to be boring! Chutneys with the poppadoms also deserved a mention, tasty and flavourful. The pictures I took did not do the food justice. Service was rare. What I mean by this was it was faultless, smooth and friendly. It is rare to find such good service. Every staff member went above and beyond, approachable, chatty, helpful and elevated the experience. Gutted we don't live in Blaby anymore as we would be frequenting the place a lot! We definitely will be back and if you are anywhere near Blaby you need to visit you won't regret it! Great meal and fantastic service thank you so much. 10/10. Jamie

I rarely recommend a good restaurant as often they lack consistency. However, despite numerous attempts, I have never had a bad meal here. Be it the inexpensive set menu or some of the more interesting dishes. Yet again, another great meal presented by wonderful staff. 👍😃

Family of 9 for my Dads 80th birthday meal.very slow service we sat upstairs which was very uncomfortable with the heat as it was a very warm day the staff were pleasant except for one of the guys who seemed miserable! I think I was going to get the same experience as the cardamon lounge in Narborough the staff Service and food was 100%.so if I need to recommend somewhere it would certainly be the cardamon lounge as the whole experience was 10 out of 10 I can’t believe they run both Indian restaurants and I had two very different experiences.

Delicious flavour's and authentic Indian cuisine! The starters were beautiful, the mains perfectly done, and the spices just right. Friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere made it a great dining experience. Cannot wait to go back! Highly recommend! Chefs kiss.

Wow what is there not to love about this place let me start by saying beautiful interior lovely for some photos, The staff were friendly and polite I think his name was H, made me feel at home immediately and even suggested some delicious starters, The food was some of the best I've had, you wouldn't think an Indian restaurant would make cocktails to the level they do, they could quite easily be a fancy cocktail bar in the west end, They were amazing and Tee was lovely letting us know she'd be happy to adapt them if there was something we didn't like I mean WOW, The cocktails were just as nice..so def 5 stars from me give it a go you won't be disappointed..

15 June. Last night at short notice, we decided to have an 'Indian' meal at a local restaurant. We checked TripAdvisor and the reviews were encouraging. We have to say that it was wonderful. The food was excellent, the quantity sufficient and the ambiance was lovely. Zee mostly attended to our needs and his attitude, friendliness and attention to detail was remarkable. We look forward to going again and highly recommend anyone to give them a try. You won't be disappointed. Thanks to all. David & Lyn.

Was my first time in an Indian restaurant trying their food. Absolutely delicious food and the staff was amazing friendly, smiling all the time give me tips how to eat the food also give us free shots and free cake for the our friend that we celebrate her leaving from the business. The restaurant is very fancy, lovely environment and clean. The design is gorgeous and you can take load of pictures if you’re a content person. In the ladies bathroom it’s a wall with flowers and very good light for pictures. I had a great time here. I will definitely come back.

Zaika is an absolutely amazing curry house. Personally I am 12 years old and I loved their chicken korma and will be going again soon. The staff are very friendly and talkative.

Went to Zaika with my so on a friday evening, for the first time, to give it a try out. we had poppadoms, pickles, onion bahji, meat samosa, Garlic Chili Chicken, Chicken Jalfrezi, Garlic Naan and keema naan from the fixed menu. Then we ordered a couple of Pilau rice extra. The pickle tray was quality. The starters were delicious. The Mains had got "the flavour," the garlic chilli chicken in particular had that deep roasted garlic aroma and heat that only good Indian restaurants can achieve. The breads were crisp on the bottom but tender though out. The keema naan was a delicious meal in it's self, not greasy but with a rich flavour. The service was nice, polite and friendly but not intrusive . The decor is astounding ... Great for a date night with a hottie, and the ambient temperature means clothing can be skimpy without a chill. There's a unique edge to the ambience that may appeal to our friends in the LGBTQ+ Community, too. Another great touch was the dry ice bubbler (low frequency rippler)... Far more exciting than a tea candle. Upstairs we could hear people having a great time, saying "yummy," "Delicious," "so tasty" and "Try some of this it's bloody delicious." Great night 5 stars all round.

From start to finish a complete Shambles .Booked 2 weeks ago , but when we walked in seemed shocked to see us had to wait half and hour for a table , waited for drinks even longer .Seated upstairs, but then brought the starters, but we hadn't had the poppadoms, the waiter said ,I'll bring those afterwards,so we had them with our main course . I had a Bhuna my husband had Rogan josh , tasted exactly the same , which was tastless tomato stew more than curry .Still waiting for second drink with took another hour .Take my advice don't bother .

This is a remarkable Indian restaurant or takeaway. The food is out of this world, and well worth a visit. The prices are very reasonable considering the cost of living crisis. This establishment goes above and beyond with their food and service. I can't recommend them highly enough. We will not go anywhere else now. We have found this gem of an Indian. We made a 12-mile round trip for this food, so I guess that says it all, really. Just give it a try, and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Went early (6pm) at the last minute, 3 of us. Very good value on the set menu, there were others eating there and a nice atmosphere. The food was classic BIR and very nice. We all enjoyed it. Good service and we had a chat with the waiter. We’re infrequently in this area every 6 months or so and will go again. Best of the area and we’ve tried some of the restaurants in Narborough and Enderby.

I don’t know what happened but recently a had like 8 dishes from this place and all of them were flat in flavour. Looks like a chef forgot about salt and most likely not tasting before serving. My last dish a put back on the pan with a clove of garlic and some cumin, chilli and garam masala plus lemon juice and salt and it was great after. Hope for quick improvement as just little is needed to go back on the right track.

Me and my family of 13 came here lastnight for my mums 70th birthday. We've been here several times before and we are never disappointed. We had such an amazing night and the staff made the night brilliant!!! They're extremely friendly, punctual and attentive. The food is amazing. This is the best Indian restaurant I've been to. Love, love, love. The food, the atmosphere and service are always great. A wide range of dishes that cater to different tastes. Honestly, I would try everything.

First visit last night after it came up on Google with good reviews. The restaurant is small, clean, smart and well presented. Small issue with the service when a glass of wine was ordered and the wrong one delivered, which on challenge it turned out they didn't have what was ordered so tried to just serve something else, this annoyed my wife as they could have just said they didn't have it in the first place - no problem. Dinner plates arrived well presented with salad, but the salad was drenched in a dressing that was of very specific taste, I would urge them to stop doing this. Onto the food which on the whole was excellent. Chicken tikka was cooked to absolute perfection and in the style associated with more traditional Indian restaurants you'd find in Leicester. Rice and bread was good although the Naan needed a minute under the grill in my opinion. Overall a very good meal, I would go as far as to say this is the best Indian restaurant for food across Blaby district.

Telephoned our first order through having read the reviews and boy we were not disappointed. Order was packed into a sturdy cardboard box and covered with foil to keep it hot. Got it home and tucked into our starter's of shami kebab and onion bahji both were tasty and very enjoyable. Onto our mains of a lamb madras and a chicken korma with rice and naan breads., the lamb madras was a beautiful flavour with just the right heat, without an lingering burning flavour, the korma was creamy and the chicken was tender and juicy. Both the keema and peshwari naans were full and flavourful. We will be back and are happy that we have found our go to indian, having tried others closer to home and found them lacking.

Best takeaway ever ! Won’t go anywhere else it’s perfect every time and delicious

Go for a curry with my uncle once a month or so. We usually go the one down the road as this one had a bad reputation under the old name, but this one had changed owners recently and someone from the local gave a strong recommended for it, so we gave it a go Thursday night. Absolutely blows the other place out of the water - the portions are good, but more importantly everything tasted incredible. The chicken in the curry itself was so juicy, and the Keema nan was chocked full of proper thick red keema meat throughout. Even the Poppadoms and Dips were so fresh and tasty. the atmosphere was nice too as it was intimate and quite busy, especially for a Thursday night. Couldn’t recommend enough - only thing we’d change is putting in a lift to the toilets upstairs 😂 But in all seriousness the owner H seemed like a great guy, really humble and friendly and good company. He just wants to serve great quality food, and he smashes it. 5/5, will be back again soon!

We rarely order food deliveries from restaurants but received a leaflet drop a couple of weeks ago and due to a very busy day decided to order a meal. It was very, very good. We ordered another this evening. It was exceptional. The popadoms were so light and melt-in-your-mouth. I had a Lamb Rogan Jhosh and my wife had Garlic Chilli Prawns. On the first occasion we had ordered Lamb Saghwala and Prawn Saghwala. In both cases we were blown away by the taste, presentation (the tomatoes were clearly fresh and the taste and colour were vibrant), sensible portioning and the amount of lamb/prawns in the meal. This restaurant seems to be setting a new benchmark.

I went for a meal with some friends and really enjoyed it. The staff are always so chatty and friendly. I was so happy when Zaika relaunched as they are my favourite Indian takeaway. The food didn't disappoint! Nicely presented, good portion size, with the set menu being really good value for money. The fish pakora starter was amazing. Would highly recommend!

Visited Zaika for an evening dinner with family last weekend. The waiters couldn’t do enough for you, manager/owner very accommodating and really welcoming, very chatty and friendly. The food was perfect! Really hot, full of flavour. Would eat here again for sure, highly recommend.

So good to find a decent restaurant in blaby and close to home. Staff are very nice including the manager H and waitress Rajini. The suggestions H provided were good and they can adapt the dishes if needed. Good food at a very good price! We will be back very soon.

Sucked in by the deal of 4 courses for 13.95. But it's not a deal if your portion sizes are around half the normal size, the starter was the smallest I've ever seen. You have to be careful with such tactics, or you'll end up losing more custom than such deals are designed to gain.
