I've always wanted to go here being 3 miles away, First impressions/ car park. litted with rubbish and looks very scuffy, it's like being in a derelict estate. staff welcoming food was nice but no better than other local Indian restaurants..

What a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the restaurant very clean and neat and the personnel very polite! Could not believe this level of a restaurant could be found in such a rural location.

We had a lovely meal with great service! A good varied menu and very friendly attentive staff.

Fantastic meal and service every time. It was my friends 1st ever visit to an Indian restaurant and she was delighted with her meal and grateful to the waiter who helped her choose an entry level option. I can highly recommend the Indian Lantern

A group of friends enjoy a curry night once a month and this month it was my turn so I booked the Indian Lantern and we weren’t disappointed. Service was first rate Food was amazing as usual Looking forward to our next visit

Covid has kept us at home for the last three years so unfortunately we have missed all the good times we could have had, great food, extensive menu, scrupulously clean, nice decor polite and attentive staff, must try and make up for lost time, also reasonably price, especially the meal deals

Really lovely staff, nice ambience to the place. The food was absolutely delicious- I’m not a spice lover but I adore flavour, so I had the Chicken Korma and a Mango dish that’s very similar to a korma, and they were absolutely phenomenal. The only problem was I ate so quickly that I was so bloated, I couldn’t finish my pint.

Terrible. Poor food. Poor service. Horrible toilets. Also there was a bottle of water on the table with no cost associated. Came to pay was charged £3.95 for it. Just terrible.

Having been greeted by a surly dictatorial front of house, I placed my order. Firstly I was told my takeaway would be 30 minutes. I asked to pay for everything hang also ordered a pint of beer whilst I waited. My instruction was, sit back and relax. I don’t need instruction on how to behave when ordering and waiting. Your fare was really not worth the wait. My rezalla was awful and so was the the tikka masala.

We are so very fortunate to have this restaurant a short walk from our home. We have travelled extensively and tried and tasted different indian restaurants and each time our conclusion is there is no better restaurant than the Lantern. The service is consistently attentive, the food always of the same exceptional standard, the dishes are so authentic and rich in traditonal flavours. We would highly recomend a visit as you will struggle to find better! Thank you From Marie & John

The building is nothing to look at on the outside but smart and very pleasant inside. I visited on a Saturday evening and it was busy. The staff were friendly, the service was good and the food was excellent. I enjoyed it so much that I went back there to eat on the Sunday! Parking is available, accessible down the side of the building.

We were in a large group split into three tables due to Covid but that didn't stop anything - the management, the service and the food were at top-notch. The staff were amiable all the way through. It was very busy but they dealt well between our eating-in orders and the takeaway orders. My OH and I ordered a starter and two mains to share: Meat Samosa (£3.50), Lamb Tikka Biryani (£8.95) and Cox Bazaar Balti (£10.95). The price is reasonable for the quality of the food. It was flavoursome and tasty without being thirsty afterwards. I definitely recommend this place. Don't be put off with its location. This is a hidden gem.

Our first meal in the restaurant since lockdown restrictions were lifted and food and service as great as they always have been.

A group of us go out 4-5 times a year to our respective Local Indian Restaurant and this month it was mine. As ever, food and service fantastic and J get comments from my friends that this is their favourite Good to see excellent social distancing policies in place and we all felt safe. Looking forward to our next visit

We have enjoyed our takeaways during lockdown but nothing beats eating in the restaurant. Our first meal in the restaurant since lockdown and thoroughly enjoyed it, the food was as good as ever and service first rate.

Always rate highly when eating in and tonight’s takeaway didn’t disappoint. It was absolutely brilliant and the food travelled well. Would highly recommend as a lock down treat. We usually have a takeaway from here but as it was quiet decided to eat in restaurant. My son and his girlfriend rave about the Garlic Chicken Tikka Masala so as a change order that. I can honestly say it was the best Tikka Masala...

Whilst not the obvious location, the food here is great. Been 6 or 7 times and it is consistently good, well presented and reasonably good value. It can be difficult to find a good curry house in a sea of mediocre affairs but this one is really good for a relaxed meal.

This is a nice place. Good tastes great and is presented really well. Friendly staff can seem uninterested sometimes and it can take a while for food to come, but if you're up for a curry and not in a hurry, Indian Lantern is a good choice. Prices are okay, being what you'd expect to pay for a really nice curry. Food portions could be large, but here it's all about quality over quantity.

Local place with very friendly and welcoming staff, food is superb and many choices to be had. Indian Lantern is highly recommended.

Food was nice enough restaurant was OK just felt the staff were a little bit off with us, funny looks and clearly talking amongst themselves whist looking (not so discreetly) in our direction, made us feel uncomfortable. Maybe a takeaway if we go here again
