Takeaway review: We've just had an order to try out a new place. Not very impressed. Really tight with the amount of meat in the lamb dish, not many pieces at all and the bhajis were really flat and pretty average. It was refreshing that it wasn't greasy though.

Delicious food and friendly service. We liked the choice of street or traditional Indian food.

Food nice but very expensive. Friendly staff. Only use 4 on a saturday night

Visited Sameeha Restaurant couple of weeks ago with a group of friends and all I can say is this place is wonderful. The food is delicious, staff are very friendly with excellent service! The menu is extensive with a lot of variety cooked to perfection.

Great meal and would definitely recommend. My suggestion would be to remind me how much I enjoyed it so I remember to order again soon.

Took over an hour to deliver from 1.4 miles away from our house and the chicken was like rubber.

Very dispointed paid £32 to take away meals to turn up late and cold and the nan bread not cooked , I'm not one to complain but it was a, treat. I called the restaurant seemed to think it was funny and kept offering another I said no wanted refund pretty much only option they was offering was a, replacement if didn't like it the first time why would we order again. Also false advertising says free delivery min spend £12 we still paid. Overall dispointed a take away is a treat yet was us, who got the treat!

We have not visited this restaurant in a while and decided to go early doors. We pushed the boat out having poppadoms and pickles, starters, mains, rice and naan. Service and food were excellent. We had the aloo chat, chicken chat, chicken madras, rice and naan. The madras was just the correct taste and heat. Naan was perfect. BYO alcohol is a bonus. We will be revisiting soon. Highly recommended.

On a recent business trip to Leicester I noted that the pub/restaurant attached to my chain hotel was rather uninspiring. Accordingly, I took advantage of the opportunity to indulge my love of curry at Sameeha. Not only was it local but also highly rated and recommended. Being a quiet Monday night I was a able to take my pick of the tables in the neat interior. I was delighted to discover that (a) the restaurant is unlicensed, and (b) they offer a midweek meal deal comprised of popadom & chutney, starter, main and an accompaniment of rice or naan for the bargain price of £14.95. Having purchased a bottle of red from the adjacent off licence I tucked into my popadom and mixed starter, followed by a wonderful lamb dansak with a chilli & garlic naan. The whole meal was glorious and served by courteous, smiling waiters who happily chatted to a couple who were clearly regular customers. All in all, this was a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended

Delicious! Pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. It is quite small so I would recommend booking and they do not serve alcohol so you can take your own. The service was great, food amazing and value for money was excellent - we will go back.

Nice food such a shame I felt ripped off ! I ordered 2 cans of sprite which were not delivered so in effect paid an extra £3.00 for the food! First and last time using this place.

The food was over 35 minutes late and it was cold. I had an omelette and chips and I got a dozen cold chips and a brown funny looking omelette totally inedible. Will not order again as this is the second time it’s been late and cold..

even b4 I got the food from the driver .his attitude stank . I slammed the door in his face....unfortunately it carried on regards the food .I certainly wont recommend your .food which was very very bland ...waste of money

Although the food was late it was understandable with it being new years eve. It was well worth waiting for, everything was piping hot which is unusual for a takeaway, there was plenty of it and it was absolutely gorgeous. We will definitely be making this our go to takeaway!

We have recently rediscovered Sameeha after being regulars before lockdown. The staff are all lovely, really friendly and welcoming. The food is beautiful and always nicely presented. Excellent service too. It's a take- your- own alcohol place; as it happens the people I go there with don't drink but it does keep the cost of a night out down if you do. We will definitely be back!

Told they phoned me but did not when they returned with food it was cold would not order from them again and food was of a poor standard

We had a table booked for 6pm, when we arrived we were the only people dining in. As it was a bit cold out we were brought a little heater near to our table which was very thoughtful. The food, service, the atmostphere were all excellent and would definitely recommend a visit. It was our first, but won`t be our last, dining in meal but have had many an excellent takeaway from here.

Delivered the wrong order, I called back to ask where my order was it came 25 later and cold! I did call the restaurant to explain this and they said I could have my next order with no cost. I did not want to a bad review but after 4 times trying to call them for my next order it seems they have blocked my number!

Food was fabulous and it’s a good job it was ….. Sameeha obviously have a great chef which is the plus point to this restaurant because the delivery was absolutely atrocious the owners need to think about this because you will loose customers due to your horrendous deliver drivers.

Lovely food but atrocious delivery….. Owners need to sort delivery issues you are lucky that your chef is so good because otherwise you really will loose customers. Think about how you deliver…….. it really is not acceptable

It took a while to arrive (1 hour+) and elements were cold, none was very hot. It was very very mild- we didn’t order hot curries but it was mild to the point of being a bit bland. We enjoyed it but wouldn’t order again. Although the restaurant think we would because an hour after our order was delivered, another order arrived! Cue one very, very confused delivery driver (and me)!

Awful , I've ordered from here ALOT for few years now , & this time really put me off ever ordering again ... there was NO spice in the lamb biryani at all! Was slushy plain and hardly any lamb ... never again

not up to my standard The food was mild but did not hit my taste buds the lamb shish was not very good the chutney was not good and neither were the mixed kebabs very disappointed

A very disappointing experience. Ordered online to be delivered via Uber . Order was expected within 40 minutes. It didn’t arrive. I Called and was told it was on the way. 15 minutes later & no order. It finally arrived an hour & 25 minutes from order & was barely warm . All we were told was ‘ there’s a slight issue’ not sure I’d go back again !

Delivery man couldn't mind our house and had to ring for directions. Also one of can's of drink was missing from order.

Food is ALWAYS late from this restaurant which is such a shame as the food is lovely.

This is our 1st takeaway and it will be the last, both our dishes were bland and tasteless and have gone straight into the bin, the Chicken Tawa was nothing like a Tawa, very gloopy, the Chicken Chingri Khazana was the same, no flavour, bland tub of slop with onions thrown in.

Small restaurant. Welcoming and food looked and tasted lovely. Vibrant and fresh. Enjoyed eating here and bringing your own bottle was an added bonus!

Beautiful Indian food from Sameeha tonight, fresh and piping hot!

We ordered take away for 25 people for a family party and it was such a Success! We had lamb rogan Josh, veg balti and three different chicken dishes as well as rice, different nans, samosas and poppadoms. It was delivered bang on time despite me changing the time late on the day, in big containers so it was easy for people to serve themselves. Everyone went back for more - it was all delicious and what we received would have fed many more people. I couldn’t fault it and can heartily recommend.

I have rearely ever ordered an Indian takeaway for myself because my family dont really like it but i actually thought this was really nice, it was also very fresh when it got here and i really enjoyed it. Whereas other places you have to reheat your dish. The naan bread tasted great too and so did the poppadoms(however you spell😂) and i would definitely reccomend this place One thing that i would say could've been better i would probably say that maybe making it less watery and not rushing the dishes when cooking but its honestly really nice food. I love indian dishes :) but i think the staff are so lovely and i had a lovely greeting from the delivery man from the door and i enjoyed it alot

1 hour late delivery. Wouldn’t answer the phone. Refused to speak. Offered a part refund but never delivered. AVOILD AT ALL COSTS

I'm very disappointed. I understand that delivery times are estimates, however when I received a message to say that my food is on its way at 19:45, I imagined that it would arrive not long after the end of the 19:40-20:00 time slot. At 20:00, the Just Eat tracker stated that my food had arrived, but it only arrived 40 minutes later, after I'd called the restaurant, worrying that it had been delivered to the wrong address. I've experienced delays with this restaurant before, but because it was always communicated and the food was always good, I didn't really have too much of a problem with it. This time, the food was so saturated with oil, it's not at all enjoyable. I'm very disappointed.

Came here for the first time with family last week, it was a lovely experience. The food was lovely and the service was excellent. We will start ordering our takeaways from here from now on 😋.

Food was lovely as always. Its never on time but we factor that in and it isn't really a problem. Just request it half an hour or so before you want it!
