had to wait for long but food was so good 😊💯

We ordered just before a massive storm hit and even though most of the roads between us and Spice 45 were immediately closed, with the fire brigade pumping water from around the Resturant, we still received our meal which was brilliant as usual. Thanks guys 👍

**4-Star Review for Spice 45:** I recently dined at Spice 45 and had a wonderful experience overall. The ambiance is one of the standout features – cozy, welcoming, and perfect for a relaxed evening. There's plenty of parking, which made our visit stress-free from the start. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we felt well taken care of throughout our meal. We ordered a portion of chips, Paneer Karahi - Madras, Chicken Shashlick, Paneer Shashlick, Chicken Biryani, and Onion Salad. The dishes, apart from the biryani, were spot on with great flavors and perfectly cooked. Both the Shashlicks and the Paneer Karahi had bold, delicious spices that left us wanting more. However, the Chicken Biryani was a bit disappointing. The rice wasn’t Basmati, and the taste was rather bland, which stood out compared to the other flavorful dishes. That said, the prices are reasonable, making it good value for the quality and service. Overall, a cozy spot with great food (minus the biryani), excellent service, and an inviting atmosphere. Will definitely return!

Quick delivery, nice food but disappointed I didn’t receive the 2 Popadoms I ordered and paid for 😩 please double check before sending orders out that you have packed everything

We were a little disappointed on two counts. Firstly we ordered 2 sets of the pickle trays and even though we put a note on the order to remind about this we only received one. Secondly the king prawn dish wasn’t king prawns, they were very small. We are regular Costner to spice 45 because we enjoy the quality of the dishes and the service but this time felt we were let down.

Visited as a couple for a Sunday evening treat. It was the first time we'd visited for some time and we both really enjoyed our meal. After a couple of poppadoms and the pickle tray we shared Lamb Tikka and Garlic Chicken Tikka starters. Both full of flavour and very tender. For our mains we both tried something new and ended up sharing the: Spice 45 Special - which is their words is a "A truly extraordinary dish developed by our award winning chef. First the taste of creamy egg, then flavoursome mincemeat and finally tender lamb." It was delicious! Tribuji - which is selection of chicken, lamb and duck tikka cooked with onion, tomatoes & fresh herbs in a medium thick spicy sauce. Again, really tasty! To accompany this we had pilau rice and shared a plain naan. Everything was served hot with great friendly service. We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal and look forward to returning again soon!

Best Curry in Leicester. Been ordering from from here since before they were Spice 45. Great varied and interesting menu.

Places clean has good parking that is a step down into the restaurant however I believe they have a ramp to assist wheelchair user's .the food very nice and served in good time A good experience had and the beer is kept well and i would use again Staff polite and efficient

Overall a really nice meal. Excellent quality food served very quickly, really tasty and everything was piping hot. Very reasonable price with a taste card. Will definitely be back.

Ordered a lamb speciality dish and a paneer curry both curries tasted the same and sauces were thin with small about on sliced tuff lamb in. Rice was standard chips hard in the middle and the mint sauce was flavourless.

Spice 45 never disappoints, had a mix up with the naan breads and they delivered them as soon as we rang, highly recommend.

Aloo Gosht main missing got aloo chat starter

The pickle tray was missing and we paid cash so left out of pocket. We tried here instead of our usual but was very bland hardly any flavour and tasted watered down, shame

Had a chicken Jalfrezi last night, Delivered ,wow it was the best I've ever tasted ,the chicken was cut into strips and there was lots of it, I even had some left which i have just had for my breakfast with toast. Delicious. Definitely having that again, but only from spice 45.👍

Very average for a curry, butter chicken was very poor, sloppy and tasted more like a Korma, kids wouldn’t eat it, and I can’t blame them, waste of £17! My Masala was ok. For £54 a bit disappointing.

My meal was not as good as I had in the past by you it was cold and not very tasty also my starter the meat was tough

All the food was so bland. Masala had zero taste, as did the pickles. Ordered before and was so flavoursome, really disappointed, won’t order again. On plus side delivered really quick, was really hot and driver was very friendly.

The masala and korma tasted the same and had too much coconut which is a shame because the meat was cooked beautifully. The sagg baji was dry. The omlet and chips was oily. Kema nan was lovely. The pickle tray was fab. The biryani was brilliant.

Food was delicious but not as hot as we would've liked. Assuming it was because of whatever the hold up was with delivery.

Time for delivery changed after I placed my order. I wouldn’t have ordered if I’d had known it was going to be that long beforehand. Meal was luke warm when it arrived. It was very tasty but lacking in chicken pieces.

The wine is also great My only issue is I asked for a started to come out with my husband main meal My starter was £5.45 but the charged me £11.95 as the treated and served it as a main. I only wanted the starter size. This was not communicated The meal was lovely too much really Just as well I could afford to pay it.

15 minutes late with delivery was a disappointment. Food was ok, nothing special but plenty of taste. The mixed kebab starter was rather bland, especially the sheek kebab…it tasted strongly of black pepper. Portions were good size though & food was quite warm.

The tandoori mix grill was possibly the finest Indian meal I have ever had and my wife loved her king prawn tawali 10/10 great people and wonderful food we can’t wait to go back at the weekend.😊😉

Another fabulous meal from spice 45

We were served our meal by Surab, his service was just fab. We ordered some cold beers and gave a BIG cheers.🍻 Then poppadoms and dips, these were much better than chips. Starter of chicken chat, this will definitely not make us fat. A tasty main dish of creamy lamb which should have been washed down with a wee dram. Fit to bust but still felt alive, this was all thanks to the great meal at Spice 45.

The food was hot and tasty and cooked fresh. The only reason i didn’t give it a 5 star was because the naan breads were both dry and tasteless so a real shame!!

The man who delivered the takeaway was lovely, put the two out of the 4 ordered, we only received two and they were in bits. The pickle tray was just raita nothing else and the salad was warm. The food was good other than that, but felt cheated paying for something I didn't get.

Very friendly, great advice and lovely food. Don't be put off by the outside, as we nearly drove by, the inside, is done out nice & modern.

Spice 45 needs to up its game. Our first order whilst it was not technically late,delivered by a friendly and lovely chap, parts of the order was missing. The chicken tikka main had insufficient chicken, but thankfully it was so dry and bland it was probably a blessing. The remainder of the order that arrived was as warm as a Polar Bears, trump. Sadly when offered a 50% discount on the next order this will be of little consequence as Spice 45 have been given their P45.

Absolutely disgusting , the food is the worst meal I have ever experienced, in a restaurant dry , tasteless, salad was brown , like it hadn’t been washed or left on side , the mix grill omg there’s no words to describe pls do not waste your money , very rude , ignorant … Lidl jar would be a 100% better way ….. do not waste your hard earned money , very very disappointing

Had a takeaway delivered, it was delivered on time , the curry was fantastic and authentic, will definitely recommend to all my friends and family, thanks very much.

We visited with friends on a Saturday evening - from the outside my heart sank - no kerb appeal - weeds around the building -old torn stickers of past achievement and accredition in the far from clean windows limited exterior signs - did not look great - but car park was full - so that was a good sign. Rather brusk welcome - interior was smart and clean - orders taken efficiently. Food arrived in good time and I have to say was really good. The waiters became more relaxed as the evening went on. £ 112 for 4 people - that included 4 x cobras and a bottle of wine - not bad. Hands shakes on leaving. I do think some exterior spruce up would pay dividends and look like someone cared - and some gentle background music to add a little atmosphere to an otherwise clinical ( which I had no issue with ) interior - most importantly though food was good and front of house premises and toilets were clean. Can recommend - you can't always judge a book by its cover.

Visited on a Saturday night with friends to celebrate a birthday and am pleased to say that our experience was absolutely great. All of the staff were friendly and helpful providing attentive service throughout our meal. Questions asked were politely answered and suggestions about what to order were gladly given. None of us are experts on Indian cuisine but everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, served promptly and with more than adequate portion sizes. For us definitely a 5 star experience and highly recommended.

Quality tasty food. We are working away from home and use Spice 45 every week.

Overall the Takeaway was nice. Took a lot longer than told on the phone to have delivery, was told 45 minutes and it took 1hr 10 minutes. The Naan breads while small were tasty. My Lamb Kudoo was very nice, I was expecting there to be more chunks of the butternut than the lamb but I was wrong, nice tender meat was plentiful in the dish and the sauce was pretty thick. We also had a Butter chicken which I am told was also pretty good, the Chicken Korma was milder than mild, quite bland its what my friend usually orders when we have Indian food and she said there wasnt much taste, which was a shame because the rest was nice. Also had the popadoms and pickle tray. Average price nowadays about £9 for a main dish.

Just under 2 hours from order to delivery…£4 for 3 pieces of cheese paneer. The curry itself was great, but not fantastic value for money.

Didn’t get what was ordered, paid for spice 45 special, got a biriyani dish, already had a mushroom rice? Everything apart from the main dish was correct some how.

No atmosphere food not too good either

Having recently tried Cardamom lounge, Dine India , Dipali and spice of India (all of which we have previously used and enjoyed), Spice 45 have provided us with the best curry for well over a year. The saying is ‘you pay for quality’ and whilst that may be true here, the food was exceptional. Will 100% be using again

Food was good once the mishap of forgetting the rice sorted out. It did go a bit watery as we had to keep it in the over for nearly an hour. They did send some rice out but it was an hour after the curries were delivered

No spice to good won't order again

Before I send this, the delivery women was so lovely and kind. I’m really disappointed! Our other Indian was closed. So I said this place as really nice before. My farther said his tasted like it was out of a jar at Aldi. The pickle tray was watery, tasted bland and rushed. And early too. We won’t be returning. Naan bread wasn’t good, I just feel disappointed in saying this was good food. There must be a new chef’s in town.

Food was very nice. Service was horrendous. Once seated, had to grab our own menus. We had to try and grab someone for us to order. We didnt get our mains until 2 hours after arriving. They seem to prioritise takeaways over their dine in customers.

Great food, good service and as it was a Tuesday evening we were the only three in there but still very enjoyable. I have dined many times at Spice 45 and will again in the future.

Order was 39 mins late, called after it missed the 1st delay time to be told driver had already left and had reported stuck in traffic should be there soon. 5mins after I see app updated and get a message saying driver on the so obviously they had only just left after I called and the turned up over 20 mins after minus an item off my order. I called again and was told it would a long time before I would get it delivered so asked for a refund instead. This is not the 1st time delivery has been late late by over 30mins but it will be the last, no problem with delays as long as I trust what I'm told and in both cases I didn't.

Worst food in Leicester. Ordered 3 curries, naan, chapati, biryani and all were awful taste. Also, delivered late!

Top notch food. Early delivery. Friendly driver. Decent portions. Have had three meals from here and will continue to use.
