Zaika in Kensington and Chelsea

Excellent. I got the tasting menu and the food was amazing. It all came at the correct time and didn’t leave us waiting any longer than we wanted to. Wow.

Out of all the places we ate in London this was my favourite. We had the vegetarian taster menu with a dal amuse bouche. The dal was really, really god. I found it hard to work out all the spices that had been used to make it. Undoubtedly everyone’s favourite from all the dishes was the beetroot “chop” (which is actually a croquette). The service was good and the venue is lovely with high ceilings but one can still have a conversation. Highly recommend this restaurant and maybe next time we’ll try the non vegetarian option.

A great 👍 time. A wonderful cool airy building from the heat a warm welcome, good menu fresh food, great service and good service staff. Very well done, one of the best eats were fresh scallops on the menu, a little on the small side likely struggle from British Fishing stock however the dish was fresh and superb. Kofta beautifully composed perfect round Koftas. House Lassi and Chai good! Wonderful nice time and nice to solo visitors.

Zaika restaurant situated on Kensington High Street is my age old favourite for many years. The place is decorated in rich silks and velvets and has an excellent ambience. The lunch set menu is served in crescent shaped silver plated plater with four small bowls placed on the platter itself. The set menu consisted of methi butter chicken, kashmiri rogan josh, yellow daal and Lahsooni palak with roti or naan or rice. There is vegetarian option as well. The portions of food was enough for a lunch. The service is fast and served with politeness. We always enjoy eating out here.

We were a party of three at Zaika on a Saturday night. The dining experience was one of the most memorable during our recent trip to London - excellent food and service, a great ambience, and a friendly and welcoming staff. Would definitely return.

What an absolute delight of a restaurant! We did not have a booking, but sat at the bar until we were given a table, the cocktails were out of this world and the attention to detail was amazing. The best food I have eaten in quite some time and eat in London a lot! But most of all, the staff (and I mean everyone) from front of house to the barman and waiters were just so lovely, smiles all round and Zaika has such a lovely vibe .. The Zaika is one of the best Indian restaurants in Kensington. The ladies & gentlemen of the service team are friendly and efficient. The food is excellently prepared, especially the lamb shank is worth a try. The very delicious cocktails & wine selection together with the stylish & relaxed atmosphere contribute to an excellent dinner experience.

I I visited with my son before a concert at the Royal Albert Hall early evening. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent and we especially enjoyed the Fish Curry (halibut) and the Black Dal and Bhindi. Might miss out the starters next time and have and extra side dish?! A special occasion sort of place but well worth a visit!

Absolutely superb meal at Zaika. We arrived really earlier which wasn’t a problem, service great, lovely drinks and the food was beyond excellent, the Raj Kachori was the best starter I have ever had. Definitely our go to next time we’re in London

This is an amazing Indian restaurant in the Kensington area in London. The food was exceptional. We had a tasting menu with small bites of many dishes it was delicious and very high quality.

We went to Zaika on Christmas Day and opted for their special Christmas menu. 1) Service - The service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and history of the restaurant. I did not catch his name, but he was form Kyrgyzstan. There was not a lot of waiting around in between courses and the staff seemed very well organized. 2) Atmosphere - They created a great and friendly atmosphere for Christmas and I have been on other occasions and this is consistent. 3) Food - The food here is as good as any restaurant in London and definitely a contender for best Indian restaurant. Everything from the starter to desert was delicious and really stood out from other restaurants.

Abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante prima di ripartire… e ci torneremo senz’altro se dovessimo di nuovo venire a Londra! Siamo arrivati quando la cucina era in chiusura ma il personale è stato gentilissimo e ci ha fatto comunque accomodare segnalando con cortesia che non avremmo avuto tantissimo tempo.
