Delicious indian food at a reasonable price if you are a guest in the hotel since they apply you a discount. We had dinner twice during our stay. Marouf is thw waiter who assisted us and his attention was excellent

If you are looking for good food and a peaceful environment depending on the day (we went during a quiet period) Light Of India is worth a visit. The curry delivered. However, the biscoff cheesecake desert which you can see in the picture which is eye-filling tastes exactly the same as the one I get at my local Sainsbury’s. Made me wonder. I have bought an identical desert various time from my local Sainsbury’s. It’s 3x cheaper (excluding the sauce). Honestly they are twins, I couldn’t tell the difference. Anyway, I enjoyed it and the service was very very professional.

Maruf was outstanding .. he was warm and hospitable ! I called him to check if i could get my food at 10:10pm esp when they were about to close at 10:30, he was super efficient and made sure i got my dinner within the time thresholds.. indeed the chef was awesome to have made yummiest dal tarka and saffron pilau rice :)

The food cooked by the chef is delicious and healthy cooked . The monk fish curry was nicely cooked and eaten with their soft garlic naan was the perfect matching . Their seafood platter and salmon fish was also good . It goes well with its lemon rice .

We arrived when they were already picking up and yet they took care of us, thank goodness because we were dying of hunger. They were very friendly, the service 10/10. Now the food Wow was amazing! Nothing to say, everything was delicious. 1000% recommended. It's a shame because we didn't have time to take a photo.

I had an early dinner as it was pre show at The Royal Albert Hall, and I was staying at the adjoining Montana Hotel. Restaurant was quiet at that time but still had a nice vibe. I was looked after by Ruhel who couldn't have been more helpful or polite. He helped me choose food suitable for vegans. Food and drinks brought out efficiently but I never felt rushed. Food was delicious and really fairly priced in my opinion, especially considering the location. The restaurant is immaculate. 100% recommend and Ruhel is a credit to the establishment. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time during our visit, but what truly made the experience stand out was the service from our waiter, Ruhel. The restaurant is one of the restaurants that you eat in and go to another restaurant to eat in. I mean, I was right and I went out and ate at KFC, and then the accountant, when he came to take accounts, wrote us an invoice in his own handwriting, and to whomever I asked for it, he said, “I will give it to you and bring me an invoice for the amount only, without the details at the end.”

I went to eat and Maruf served me. He was very kind giving us recommendations. The food is exquisite.

We had for starters the mango/avocado chick pea salad and the king prawn shashlik. Both excellent for the eye and taste. For the main the traditional chicken tikka masala and unfortunately I forgot the name of my vegetarian dish😜 (mix between tofu and cheese in medium spicy tomato sauce) complemented by basmati rice and a plain naan. We enjoyed to the fullest. All was excellently presented and serviced by Ruhel who recommended perfectly. Might be on the pricy side but worth it. All in all a very satisfactory dining experience in a cozy restaurant.

The food was served in large portions full of all the amazing flavors you look for and expect from India food. The atmosphere was wonderful with soft India music in the background but not too loud taking from your table conversation. This is the first time in my life that I have eaten Indian for €70. We were a table of 4 people, we paid separately and the waiter offered to pay a 5% tip per person. Course results €75 per person or £63. I've eaten better Indian food and a lot cheaper.

I visited last August and I've just found the business card our waiter Maruf handed me on the way out the door. As an American on travel, I may not have the finer palette of the Brits (who tend to eat more of it), but I do love Indian food. We stayed in the nearby Bailey Hotel and so just happened to stumble into this place on a lark - but what a treat! The food was the bomb, as was the service. I had lamb chops and my wife had lamb with spinach. Good naan, raita, etc. and prices were within budget. The dining room was nice. Beautiful in fact, but the service made the difference. I would return.

Stayed at the Montana hotel and ate here twice and the food was absolutely delicious! Especially the Chettinad pepper chicken which was put of this world. The staff were really welcoming and even when we were leaving they sorted out a taxi for us outside and very helpful at all times. Very reasonable price for everything and will be definitely returning!!!

Awful experience. We ordered the pre-theatre set menu and the food was very disappointing and tasted bland. Staff were nice to our faces but felt like we were being watched and then overheard them talking about us complaining we hadn't finished our plates. Food was very expensive for what it is and we left feeling so disappointed in the experience. Would never go back.

Maruf was een vriendelijke en vakkundige gastheer. Voordat ik vertrek, ga ik hier zeker nog een keer eten en ik ga mijn vrienden en familie over dit restsurant vertellen.

The food have no taste i found better than other restaurant . Waste of money behaviour of waiter is not good we are spending money they are showing arrogant and rude behaviour . I prefrr to go other restaurant

One of the best meals we've had in a while. Lovely decor and very welcoming. Great window table and seated quickly. Onions bhaji and scallop starter delicious as were lamb and prawn mains. Pear dessert wonderful. Service was excellent and Ruhel was really helpful advising us on our menu choices as well as giving first class service. Complementary chocolates and post dinner drinks finished off a fantastic evening. Can't wait to go again and can't recommend highly enough.
