Had a great time for my brother’s birthday, food was lovely and service was top notch. Personally gave a 4 star for food because of the lack of meat options which didn’t contain egg!

Thank you for hosting Andreas his birthday so well. It truly means a lot. We’ll be visiting again soon.

If you’re celebrating a birthday then AVOID this place. I booked this restaurant for 40th birthday 3 weeks in advance and told them it’s for a birthday and they never contacted me to let me know there’s a COVER CHARGE of £5 per person to bring your own cake. I would have never have booked this restaurant if I knew. This completely ruined our celebration as everyone was very annoyed and there is no mention of this in the booking details either. COMPLETE SCAM -AVOID FOR CELEBRATIONS!!

Zaika Sister restaurant to Michelin-starred Tamarind of Mayfair. With 20 years’ standing on London’s high-end Indian dining scene. The food was well presented, some had a twist in shape like the samosas but still well balanced. All the dishes were a bit mild. Probably because they have a broader range of clientele to appeal to. The advantage of a milder version of Indian food is that you can enjoy the flavour of the food.

Real Authentic Indian food. A bit expensive. But never disappoints.

It was my first time at Zaika restaurant and differently not the last. Beautiful cozy venue with absolutely delicious food and great service. We had great recommendations from our waiter Steven. We ordered the samosas, Raj Kachori, hyderabadi lamb shank, Darbari murgh korma, kuttanadan prawn curry and the pistachio milk cake for dessert and all flavours were incredible and I really know my way around Indian food.

Everything I come here, the masala is great! I love the Tikka and the Butter Masala! I will be coming back over and over!

Overhyped, oversold, overpriced place. The food is good and delicious but it is not something that blew me away. The lamb shank, which was recommended, was dry, seriously dry. And if you need a sauce to make the dish work, especially the hero, then there is something wrong. The vegetable samosas were great, the lamb biryani was good, the house negroni is not a negroni but a delicious drink. The pistacchio cake was nice. The service was subpar for a location and price like this. The waiter seemed quite distanced and did not make any attempt to smile, show happiness or make you accommodated. For me, the restaurant lives of the name and hype built over time. A lack luster experience. However, food was good. Not just all dishes.

Amazing atmosphere, great food, good service.

The staff at the front desk were very good as were the serving staff. The server provided an allergy and ingredient list for every dish on the menu. The food was well received by my guests.

Excellent food and wine and attentive service. The Chicken Biriani was the best I’ve had. Main courses very good value other than the Lamb Shank that was small and quite expensive. Starters smallish portions (Samosa’s and kebabs) but very tasty.

We had a wonderful first time experience here at Zaika. We both had tasting menus: my wife the vegetarian and I the non-veggie. The staff were kind enough to replace the two fish items with alternative meat/veggie dishes. All the food was delicious. And we were not hungry at the end. Service excellent. Can’t believe we’ve not been here before; it’s top notch.

Inventive Indian cuisine in a lovely setting. It was a little noisy but it was full. The food is outstanding flavours textures and taste are wonderful. Lovely evening out.

The service is great. Disappointing food the lamb had good flavour but three pieces was toooo little The fish curry was excellent but two tiny tiny pieces of fish is frankly not acceptable I ate at the restaurant several times but the quantity was much better. To be honest I will not come again and will definitely not recommend to friends and family I will go to other restaurants in London such as Trishna

Siempre me río cuando la gente da una crítica de 1 estrella, pero honestamente para un restaurante tan hermoso es una pena que no saben cocinar. Obviamente en Kensington esperas que sea un poco caro, pero no te importa si es bueno. Hazte un favor ve a Lidl a por un curry en frasco y ahórrate una pequeña fortuna, el peor curry que he comido. No es de extrañar que todas las casas de curry cerca estaban llenos y este que caminamos directamente en . Ojalá hubiera salido directamente cuando vi el ridículo menú de lujo. Esta no es una casa de curry adecuada, pero algunos elegantes sobre la casa de lujo caro. Basura

Amazing ambience housed in an ex bank with the original architectural highlights. Chef Rajat Sinha’s take on standard fare like samosa’s and kachori is amazing. The paneer is made in house and it melts in your mouth. His variation of scotch eggs with quail eggs was to die for. All dishes were amazing and it was a feast where we ended up as gluttons. Another amazing meal at Zaika. All the staff were wonderful and our waiter Akbor looked after us so well, he was very welcoming and remembered us which was really lovely. This personal touch makes such a difference and will keep us coming back. The food was delicious as always, succulent chicken tikka and seekh kebab and fragrant lamb biryani. Highly recommended!

Overall a good experience however, spoilt by the request for a signature on the payment receipt at the end when the bill arrived. I paid via contactless and even got a confirmation on my phone the payment had gone through, but the waiting staff still insisted I needed to sign the slip as it was a “new type of payment machine,,,, ?!?!?” Couldn’t give me any other reason which I found very strange….

Some of the best Indian food we've ever eaten! My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful meal with great wine and the service was exceptional. Loved everything about Zaika and will definitely visit again next time we're in London.

Wonderful experience. Staff were very attentive and polite, the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, and the setting and ambience just added that little bit extra to the overall experience. Not a cheap meal by any means but you really do get what you pay for, and we felt it was worth every penny. Highly recommend.

Thank you to this beautiful restaurant, which I definitely recommend you to visit in London. It was a great experience to taste the spicy dishes of Indian cuisine and experience the beautiful atmosphere inside. We chose soup, mango-avocado salad as a starter, and lamb shank and saffron rice pilaf as a main course. We ended the meal with local tea and desserts. I am sharing the price and food list below. We paid 104 pounds bill. Our only problem was the short 1 and a half hour time we were given to eat. It would be nice to spend more time there. Next time..😊

We've eaten here before but things have changed. Much smaller menu and lack of willingness to adjust spiciness. Waiter tried to hard-sell the lobster several times (it's very expensive) - obviously trying to shift it. The waiter was a little bit stern tbh and the service was efficient but not friendly. Starters were a decent size but nain courses were v small. The biriyani was rice-heavy.

Sin embargo el final del servicio es bastante triste, los camareros , el supervisor y la dirección del restaurante es poco profesional, no responde y no es razonable. Este problema puede ser relevante o no para usted, pero compartir sin embargo ... éramos un grupo de tres y queríamos menús establecidos para todos, 2 diwali especiales (85 GBP) y 1 menú degustación (75 GBP) en lugar de al - a - carta. El personal no estaba de acuerdo y dijo que podemos tomar todos los menús degustación o todos los especiales de diwali (mi hijo tenía algunos problemas de alergia con el menú de diwali). Esta inflexibilidad no podía ser explicada por nadie, incluyendo el gerente de piso de Anindya. Su respuesta no fue razonable, ya que también pregunté si estábamos sentados en dos mesas diferentes, ¿no servirían 2 menús diwali y 1 menú degustación ... no tenían respuesta. El final del servicio sabía que estábamos en una ocasión especial y lo habría estropeado por completo si la comida no era tan buena. Raj kachori, langostinos verdes y paneer Lasooni son para morir en los entrantes ... plato principal que probamos y nos encantó el cordero rogan, pollo con mantequilla methi y langostinos kerala ... en los postres la torta de leche, kulfi son increíblemente increíbles.

Wanted to try out the three different tasting menus they have; three people on the table and they can’t somehow do 3 different tasting menus on the table (if we were to be sat on three different table, they’d have to do it anyway) seemed like quite a ridiculous rule. Staff were also not accommodating at all. Disappointing experience

A big part of the positive review is due to our very professional, friendly and knowledgeable server Stephen. Stephen was very helpful with guiding us to just the right combination of heat and flavor.

It was our second time in Zaïka. The first time, we came just my husband and I. It was fabulous. This time, we came with our daughters for lunch. The welcoming was very warmful, the staff very attentive and professional. The dishes we selected were just perfect. Thank you so much for these unforgettable moments! Great address! I enjoyed my dinner there with my family. I was told by the staff it was Halal. We ordered vegetable samosa, lamb biryani, and butter chicken. The food was delicious and the ambience was good. The table are a bit too close for my liking.

We came in with no reservation and felt fortunate to be given a table. It’s a busy place but we got lucky! And then, our luck got even better with Ruhel attentively serving us. He patiently guided us thru selections that exceeded our expectations throughout our meal. This will go down as one of our best meals ever- thank you Ruhel and thank you Zaika!

The food was incredible tasty, the wine we ordered was great, nice design of the restaurant. The service it was stoning! The best place to celebrate my anniversary with my girlfriend. If I could recommend something to improve, would be the toilets.

Very good restaurant with food which is unique and authentic at the same time. We were group of co workers and ordered the tasing menu. Each dish was great and I would even say it was too much off food, as portions are quite big for a tasting menu. I really liked the cheese cake as it was very fluffy, almost like ice-cream.

Nice ambiance; humble staff; tasty food - a good place for people looking for Indian food in Kensington

The dinner was very good as usual in Zaika. Our menu is the tastlng menu. Tandori seabass is the best of the tasting menu. We didnt like the shrimps. The staff was great and kind. The restaunt athmosphere is amazing also. I am again in Zaika.Gin coctails are great. The king prawns are good, crab is ok, samosa is very unique, aborigine is a bit usual. Methi Butter Chicken was amazing. I cam advise king prawns as starter and Methi Butter Chicken as main course. Bread source and chicken in the middle is like a dream.

Unforgettable Indian food. First, the service. Our host was a man of politeness, good taste, and a sense of humor. He helped us choose the best. He was ready at all times to serve us. Then, the food was flawless. Everything we ordered was delicious. The atmosphere for me was acceptable because of the lighting. Dim sum, which I don't like. It's a classy and distinctive restaurant

The food was all excellent. We're from Irving, Texas in the United States of America and there's plenty of Indian food there. However, the flavors we got at Zaika were an elevated experience in comparison. The Madagascar Tandoori Prawn was great and the spice level on the Rogan Josh was just enough to break a sweat. Perfect!

This place is comfy cozy and warm in atmosphere. Excellent food!! Fresh ingredients and fresh spices they use. Steven who took our order was very friendly and had proper knowledge of food. He was very efficient in his work.we had Raj Kachori butter malai broccoli and couple of desert(ras malai and Kala jamun) again outstanding way of making fusion in desserts. If I had chance while I am visiting London I will definitely go here again.
