Very tasty food would order again

Large portion well cooked food would order again to try different dishes

Food turned up early & the driver was polite. It was piping hot & delicious :)

Food wasn’t nice at all and cold Tasted nothing like a chicken tikka masala the mushroom rice looked like just mushrooms thrown on top of rice

Haven't had one for years, and still great ☺️

After having moved to the area one year ago I’ve been apprehensive to order as I used to often enjoy an Indian take out with friends in Gloucester. I am so glad I faced my fear of it not being as good as I thoroughly enjoyed my dansak and other items ordered. Portion sizes were good value and the naan was spot on! The only downside was it was piping hot so I couldn’t get it in quick enough 😉 Thanks so much guys… a great meal.

5* as always lovely food always arrives way earlier than stated

Keep giving this place chance after chance but has gone really down hill over the years.

Wow! I had the prawn madras and was actually spicy unlike most places. I can handle chilli but this made my lips tingle. Ate every bit though, including the best onion bhajis I've ever had! Found my new Indian takeaway

Curry was bland, Burger was salty.

Surprisingly (as Zafran's main menu is, unsurprisingly, curry based) their pizzas are great too and good value.

Bad experience love a curry but this was awful never had a biriyani like it and the masala was watery worst £31 ive spent. Yuk

Fastest delivery from anywhere, food was hot and plentiful but the curries tasted like English stews and the naan breads were soggy

Both kormas didn’t look right, or taste that great. The nann’s were both really undercooked, the food was barely touched.

First and last time I will be ordering from this Indian. Curries was bland chicken in them was a funny colour. Nan and chapatti was to thick and doughy undercooked. Waste of my money to be honest none of us really ate much very disappointed

The food was terrible, loads of watery vindaloo sauce with tough meat, the rice was stodgy and the naan bread was doughy. Not made with an ounce of enthusiasm or love. And they had the actual audacity to charge for it.

Rogan josh was poor. Mushed up tomatoes with some chicken pieces thrown in. . Ordered a samosa starter and got a sheesh kebab. . Won’t order again.

HOT HOT HOT!!! I've never in my life tasted food so hot in all all my born days, even a vindaloo would have been cooler! Took 1 bite of the onion bhaji and ran round the room wishing I was living at the North pole, did they have Naga in them or what, my mouth is still on fire a day later! The sandwiches were huge, the chicken was medium to hot, but the Seekh well that's another FIRE BALL saga in itself, more chilli's than I've had hot dinners, am still eating it bit by bit as so hot even when it's cold??? The korma and rice and chips are in my fridge, but the couple of chips that were tried had a slight taste of chilli to them aswell, we just hope the korma is just a korma PLEASE!!

Beautiful Balti and Madras, second time ordering and enjoyed our food very much! Only thing I'd say is naan comes rolled up which makes it stick together but it still tastes amazing so it doesn't matter! Thank you! We will be back! ❤️

The WORST curry we’ve ever had, the Dopiaza was watery and the Korma was lumpy and bland no sweetness at all... the pickle tray yogurt source was watered down and the onion bajis was burnt! Honestly not one part of this takeaway was nice, £22 down the drain had to order from elsewhere! AWFUL!

Delicious, hot. Spot on. Plenty of free popadoms, salad, onion salad, mint yogurt and bottle of Coke.very impressed

Shocking! Hardly any meat in the curries. The curry sauces were runny and to be honest, tasteless. The paratha was like it had been run over and was definitely not the parathas that I am used to eating. Finally, the onion bahjees...soggy and tasteless. Very disappointed

Food was alright. Not very warm. Korma was nasty. Chicken tasted weird. The korma was far too creamy and left a nasty after taste. It was very white. Where most kormas are yellow. Won’t be ordering that again. Also ordered a chicken chatt. It was very oily so it was very soggy.

Excellent food. Delivered promptly and hot. Tasty and good quality.

Starters were good. Some of the curries were very bland, tasting like chicken stock only. Sauces were not thick as described. Naans were very large and chips very nice and crunchy.

New to Zairean very nice indeed will def use again well done boys 👍

Enjoyed the kebab its self but it wasnt very warm and the chips was stone cold by the time it arrived.

Thought i try this for a change through good recomendation. Unfortantly for me will not be ordering again. Inside Bag and food containers was covered in sauce, Very dissapointed with the food quality, Ordered a few things which was cold in which i had to reheat took one bite but couldnt eat it had to bin it all didnt taste nice at all. Got given some poppadoms with our order aswell that didnt taste fresh either.

The curry was weak n very mild in taste with a sweetness

The onion bhajies were not fully cooked. Only got 1 rice and the popadoms were soft. We have ordered many times from them and had no complaints. But will definitely not order anything again.

Food was brilliant very hot and very tasty 2nd time used this Restaurant top marks with both meals.

Greasy curry, undercooked chips, minimal garlic on the garlic naan.

The starters were greasy and not authentic Indian dishes. The main was bland and the naan was soggy. Order arrived on time and the driver was friendly and polite. Food was hot on arrival. It was our first time trying Zafran and definitely our last due to the quality of the food.

The meal was fantastic taste was brilliant delivered on time 1st time used Zafran will DEFO not be the last so nice to have a curry that does exactly what it says in the menu Zafran keep up the great work your the tops.Will Defo pass your name on the my friends etc.

Chicken was a bit dry and chips were undercooked but everything else was really good.

Only been to zafrans as a takeaway so can't comment on the restaurant. However the food must be the same if not better for the restaurant. It's lovely. They even cater for my picky boyfriend who always had a pizza when we go here. Brilliant that the cater for those groups who can't decide on what type of food to go for.

Rice and Korma really lovely but garlic bread is too thick and fat...

I always order from here I love it. I have tried other Indians nearby and they are never as nice as Zafran's

The worst takeaway. Pakoras were that greasy I was Gipping after the first and only bite. Ordered a cheesy naan but got a tasteless under cooked plain pancake and the curry was supposed to be chicken tikka korma the sauce was bland and the chicken dry and plain. I will not be ordering again.

had mixed kebab & the chicken tikka & lamb tikka was very dry & could tell it was overcooked. chips felt like they had been warmed up & the meat on the pizzas was all burnt as well

had chicken tikka jalfrezi & it was beaut! 10/10.. was strange tho cos jalfrezi normally has peppers in & this did not have a single pepper in the curry.

Chicken kebab was the worst thing I've ever tasted

Chicken tikka masala didn't even come with or in a masala sauce, just with some random curry sauce that didn't taste like much. Wouldn't class as a curry, just chicken and rice. Won't be ordering again. Plus side- the garlic naan was nice so if you're just after that then I guess you won't be disappointed.

The food from here has always been top notch. This time was no exception. However. the food was over 15 minutes late and when it did arrive, we had garlic naan breads delivered instead of the plain ones we ordered.

The curry was bland, and the chicken was old and tough. Not as nice as normal
