Drawbridge in Rotherham

Fantastic as usual. Always very pleasant staff. I take my nearly 3 year old granddaughter and they always have the time for her. We were there today Monday and the tall slim lady with dark hair tied up, was as usual especially nice.. I hope she gets massive recognition for her wonderful and cheerful manner. A credit to you. Had carvery and as usual was piping hot and delicious Massive thankyou Sharon

Was terrible waited over a hour for food when the pub was empty half table had eaten one ordered a fudge cake and a child nuggets these were last to come out after an hour food came out and items were still missing it was terrible service and never go back again

We visited today for the first as it was halfway for the family to meet and dog friendly so we could bring the dogs along. With a wheelchair user the accessibility was easy. With a family member having an allergy the staff were attentive and checked ingredients for us and went above and beyond. We had the carvery and it was beautiful. The best we’ve had in a while. Thank you for making our visit a great experience. I am sure we will be back.

Food was perfect but attitude on scruffy looking woman in high waisted jeans doing table service was a bit of a mood killer

The only decent thing I can write is about the chef and his amazing food and service. Unfortunately a member of staff came shouting at the chef about leaving a light on and threatening to make him pay the electricity bill out of his wages if he does it again. She went on to berate him for about 10 minutes. Unacceptable behaviour there's a time and a place to have these "discussions" in front of paying customers is not that time or place. As a result of this our food was burnt and the chef kindly apologised and recooked our food. Not sure how he works here as if this was my place of work I would have thrown in the towel long ago. I really hope management sees this review and I wish I had the horrible woman's name who should be put to shame. Mind you the woman was shouting at him like this had come from higher up and if this is the case shame on whoever runs this shoddy establishment. The woman wore a burgundy cardigan, middle aged dark longish brown hair.

Lovely carvery at 12 noon, all piping hot and served with a smile. Beef Turkey & pork bit of each if you liked, not to big Yorkshire pudding, so didn’t take half your plate up! Loads of veg to pick from, really enjoyed.

It was a little quiet which actually suited us, the carvery was very good, staff polite and very helpful..

Hi we thought we would respond via email. We booked our Christmas Dinner for Click and Collect from you, at 12 pm. When we turned up the food was ready and bagged up and red hot. We got the food home and dished it up, there was everything you would want on a Christmas dinner and more, there was lots of food, including the 3 desserts. We all very much enjoyed the food and the great service. We know were next years Christmas dinner is coming from. The Drawbridge , Thank you for making our Christmas day special. The food from the carvery was luke warm. No point complaining as there were 9 of us and each meal would need microwaving

Came for dinner 28 december very little meat dry end of beef couldnt cut it waited 10 minutes to be served when only us there wouldnt recomend

We came to the drawbridge for our Christmas Day for the 4th year running. It was absolutely beautiful again we wouldn’t go any where else now for our Christmas Day. Thank you to the amazing staff.

Visiting after staying at the Welcome Inn around the corner. 10% guest discount. The breakfast buffet was plentiful. But mushrooms were an extra charge. Didn't know that was a thing. Staff friendly. Recommend.

I am absolutely shocked at the food , everything on the deck was dry . It looked like it hadn't been freshened for at least a couple of hours. The Brussels sprouts was hard, the cauliflower cheese was just mush the mash was just slop so I asked the man at the back off the bar if there was any fresh roasts as the ones on the deck was rock hard . So he went to get someone from the kitchen to bring some up which took ages then too top it there wasn't any gravey ! . So I just went and sat down and by the time I did my food wasn't hot . I just ate the little meat I had been given 2 small slices of gammon and 1 small slice off beef . So so disappointing if I had booked my Xmas day dinner with these from what I had today I most definitely would have asked for some of my money back and cancelled without any doubt! . From what I saw from what I think was the management couple at the back off the bar there was very little atmosphere in the place . Come on stonegate you need to sort what was a brilliant eatery but not now ...

I recently visited The Draw Bridges and had a great experience. The food was really good, and the staff were very kind and attentive. A special thanks to Dylan, who served me and was extremely friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Visiting friends in the area and on the off chance we decide to try here, and what a fantastic choice to decide on here. We ordered 3 margarita pizzas and two cheeseburgers. The food was delicious, hot, filling and cooked to perfection. We asked for our compliments to be passed on to Kara who cooked the food. The pizzas definitely rival some of the big name takeaways if not beat them. The burgers unlike other places we've eaten were juicy and not dry. Portion sizes are spot on and the freshness of the food definitely added to the flavour. Would 100% recommend anyone to visit and the walk in welcome is second to none too.

Food was lovely kids enjoyed their carvey and ice cream.

We came for a nice meal, ordered our food and half of it didn’t come. service was rubbish they definitely didn’t get the customer service talk. we got told half the menu wasn’t available yet we saw loads of the food that we were told wasn’t available going out to other tables. Female toilets absolutely terrible have to stand on the toilet to open and close the door. terrible place do not recommend

I looked at the menu online, and it looked nice. I arrived with a friend the place was empty, cold, decor poor and dated. We sat at a window table. The paintwork was flaking, the table sticky it felt over all not clean or cared for. We decided to try the food. We ordered a burger each. It arrived with just a burger and a few chips. No greenery, very spars, and non interesting to look at. Taste wise, it was average, nothing special. We were pleased and relieved it was 50% off. We will not be returning. No atmosphere or ambience, didn't feel clean.

First time visit Monday dinner could do with a bit of background music staff a bit off food was reasonably good but had better n paid less. No beef which was a shame will give it an other go perhaps just Monday blues over all okay ish

Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food can be hit and miss. Carvery is usually nice. The bbq chicken burger is very good as are the halloumi fries. Nachos are better off on a plate instead of a bowl or they go soggy. Garlic flatbread was tasty but very dry and the brownies/marshmallows in the rocky road sundae tasted stale. There's new items on the menu I'm looking forward to trying.

The new menu is great we particularly love the new cheesy jalepeno doughnuts and the tempura prawn starter. The franks chicken burger is massive and you get the doughnuts on that. We regularly eat here the food is brilliant and the team are friendly and make you feel welcome

Went in on Tuesday 8/10/24 5pm daughter wanted a nice carvery expecting tea time fresh food wasn't fresh paid over £20 for two drinks coke two carvery's meat you bearly get a full slice wish I had taken a photo now the veg was all hard and dry potatoes looked and tasted like like they had mashed them with garden folk roast potatoes was like rubber really didn't impress us won't be returning again a waste of £45

Ordered two carveries and a fish and chips Waited 15 minutes before going up for carvery … which was lovely but we had eaten our meals before the fish and chips even appeared The floor staff were helpful and apologised but the two chefs behind the pizza station thingy were just stood about We ended up having to have the fish and chips as takeaway … Sorry Drawbridge but we won’t be returning

Visited today was the worst carvery we have ever had from here veggies were all hard and tasted like they were old . Yorkshire puddings were also hard and very crispy meat portions were none existent won't be returning shame really as we usually go weekly

Visited on the Saturday night and went to the Sports lounge where there are tvs and a pool table. Then came on Sunday morning for the buffet breakfast. The breakfast pizza was a delight and I wished they done this at my local Stonehouse. We were staying at the Welcome Inn and this was the closest and recommended bh hotel. The staff at the Drawbridge were fantastic & welcoming too! Thankyou.

Awful is the only word to describe this carvery. They clearly don't know what a slice of meat is, as all we received were crumbs. The potatoes were so hard, they couldn't even be cut with a knife. The cauliflower cheese lacked any trace of cheese, and the mashed potatoes both looked and tasted terrible. The food was clearly not fresh and had been reheated multiple times. Overall, it was an incredibly poor experience.

Food is lovely, staff are very nice and friendly they even went out of their way to accommodate my son who likes certain foods separate, and most places will not do this. Would highly recommend!

Used to love coming here but unfortunately I won't be going again. Ran out of carvery at 5pm, how? I managed to have the last of the gammon and even then it was rock hard. Cauliflower, potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and carrots were also hard. A light fixture was hanging out of the ceiling. Overall not a nice meal, won't be going again. For the first time I left hungry!

The carvery isn’t brilliant for the price, £38 for two adults and a child who’s 5. The meat was fairly nice&the veg was ok but the roast potatoes weren’t they tasted bad and the cauliflower cheese was basically just cauliflower it didn’t taste very cheesy at all. Was disappointed as we were all looking so forward to it, had it have been nicer tasting I would have probably given a better rating. Other than this, the staff were lovely, and the atmosphere was great.

Popped in on Sunday and had a carvery, it was brilliant. The beef was beautiful and the gravy was perfect. We ordered more drinks on the app and there was a slight issue but Adam had it fixed for us in no time. Amazing food and staff would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good carvery

Visited this week, the food was of very poor quality, very unappetising. The pub inside was tired looking and lacked atmosphere. Sorry to say I won’t be visiting again, I’ll stick to the Moorlands at owler bar.

Popped in for lunch while working close to town. Easy enough to order from my phone and the 2 and 3 course deals are an absolute bargain. Ordered myself a pizza that was pretty darn good. It's nice to see them being made in an open kitchen and Rob (who the floor staff advised was the chef who made it) did one hell of a job with it! Will definitely pop back in when in the area for lunch.

Went a few weeks before and the food was OK went back today and the food was awful chips like cardboard and the burger was disgusting partner was waiting for carvary to be served member of staff was to busy on his phone thought they had turned it around in there but no won't be going back alot of money for bad food

Want to thank all the team for today for my mums 70th booked for 38 people on a Saturday gave us a room that was just for us the staff was helpful kind and made us feel welcome the chef was amazing going as fast as he could and food was great thanks again and will definitely be back again xx tgank everyone working there on this special day x

Carvery is very poor; potatoes dried out, meat (beef and turkey) bland and required significant seasoning. Vegetables just satisfactory, stuffing and green beans very dry, turnip dry and the service from some guy was awful. Two people there need to be re-trained as they are clearly incapable. The guy with dark hair and is an assistant manager albeit is very young is great (served me yesterday). Breakfast today was great although for an English brealfast, why should one pay more fof mushrooms?

Food is good, breakfast and evening menu. 1 of very few places that do fried bread on the breakfast.

I was looking forwards to my meal with my son who I had not seen for a couple of months. We did not read the small print that the 2 and 3 course meals were only Monday to Friday but that was OK as the meal I had decided on was on the ordinary menu. My son had beef burger which looked really dry and thin and I had the cheese and pine nut bake which was very nice. The problem I had was that I wanted this with chips but they were adamant that I could only have the veg from the carvery. I was not happy as I did not know what the problem was giving me chips instead of veg from the carvery. Looking at the vegetables they were terrible. Everything was dried up, the gravy had a thick skin on it it had been stood so long and the peas were so dry a pea shooter would have been useful. I am so disappointed and I am afraid will not be coming again.

Food was bang on! Been back multiple times since and cannot complain one bit! Love the food, nice quiet meal with the other half.

We booked a table for 7pm on a Saturday night. Very quiet on arrival. Went to bar to order carvery told that what was on the servery was accounted for. So tried to order fish and chips to be told that they didn't have that either. Alot of annoyed customers. Saturday night and there was one manager and one member of waiting staff on. Within 10 minutes of arrival it was busy and they couldn't cope. Will not be returning.

The six of us had a fantastic meal here, the carvery calzones were spectacular and Adam was superb, working hard to make sure my mum's meal avoided her allergies. Would highly recommend especially for the carvery and fresh pizzas and excellent service.

Once again I choose to come here for my evening meal out and once again I’m greeted by a waitress called Kara and Dylan. They were both lovely and helpful as always, making sure our food and service was top notch, always available for things me and my party need and always with a smile. Fab work from them both

We booked in here for a last minute carvery after our dog walk and we’re not disappointed! We’d never been before and didn’t know what to expect but it was delicious and the staff are so friendly, considering it’s a chain it has a lovely local country pub feel when you walk in. We were served by Liss and she was so accommodating and kind, bought our drinks to the table and was sure to let us know when the fresh roasties were out- would definitely recommend calling in here for a pint and some food if you get the chance!
