Been in several times for drinks the staff are always very friendly Ordered food last night it was really good and the portion sizes were amazing Will definitely be back soon

Myself & Husband visited the Tabard for our mid week evening meal and I must say it has greatly improved. We haven't been for a couple of years as the food went downhill, but today it was absolutely lovely. Speedy service, friendly Staff & hot, delicious food. Will definately return in the not too distant future.

There was 9 of us for mothers day lunch, the pub had a great atmosphere, even though it was really busy the carvery was lovely ,and the staff were very attentive .overall a great experience, will definitely come again and will recommend to all our friends and family.

We waited 2 hours for our meal as there was a few bookings more than usual, the chef did well to say he was by himself, we were offered free drinks or desert, which was good, we still had a goid night also the staff came out with a free chocolate cake with ice scream as it was my birthday, really enjoyed it

I BOOOKED AN AREA IN THE PUB FOR A CLUB MEETING. THE AREA WAS KEPT CLEAR AND CLEAN FOR US, THE STAFF WERE POLITE TO TOHER PUB USERS WHEN THEY WERE ASKED TO LEAVE THE AREA AT 7PM. BAR SERVICE WAS GOOD AND SOME OF US HAD FOOD WHICH WAS GOOD AND WELL PRESENTED.

Lady behind the bar was lovely caunt fault her service but the atmosphere and the food was absolutely awful. Paid for a sirloin steak and mixed grill for valentines day, literally couldn't eat it. The steak for a supposed sirloin was full of fat and chewy, peas undercooked, mushrooms were from a tin not fresh and chips full of grease. Baby change was filthy and not even any loo roll. Gone well downhill

45 minute wait for food at 12-15. No carling . You need to take a leaf out of Wetherspoons service !!!!! We were so disappointed.

Came for a Sunday dinner to be told no kids in that section which was fine however the woman behind the bar then sat the next 2 families in the over 18's section as she knows them leaving me to explain to my 4 year old how she's not allowed but other kids are. Will not be visiting again

Bar service was a bit slow but due to noisy funeral meals a bit slow coming out but great food worth the wait friendly staff that made up for down bits

Went in last night for pink tribute and would not go back the food was terrible and children running about until midnight

Had Christmas dinner there (probs for the 5th or 6th time now) and everything about the experience was fantastic, from being met at the door by Ryan to the moment we left, staff were going out of their way to help and make it a special experience..... food was excellent and each table was laid out with a menu showing you what your party had ordered (did order it in August and there's a chance you could forget 😀). Excellent, best yet and we will be looking to book again next year...

The food, atmosphere and service was a massive improvement on our last visit. The only complaint I would have was the standard of the ladies toilets. They are in great need of a good clean/ decorate

The food was not good I payed nearly 13 pound each for 2 sirloin steak come with o mushrooms are tomatoes was not worth money at all

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, cowboy burger, ultimate veggie burger, lasagne and pie and chips, were all very tasty. My wife particularly enjoyed the veggie burger.

Service was dreadful Not one staff member smiling Expect the lady serving the carvery We all had a carvery expect my step son who had wings and chips and was waiting over an hour and we had to go ask at the bar Once he finally got his food No one brought him any cutlery or asked if he would like any sauces so again we asked We ordered dessert Simple 4 dessert out of the party of ten after 30 minutes waiting we had to go ask again about how long the it would be as we needed to leave plus they were setting up Christmas market stalls around us while we was still eating And to top it off they got the dessert order wrong The staff were not attentive to there guests With some customer service of any form we wouldn’t of walked away annoyed when we were spending time with family who have travelled from abroad to see you And even if you was the only person stood at the bar trying to get some form of service was near impossible

I had booked a table for 14 people for after a funeral, the funeral was at 2.45 so booked table for 4pm, when we arrived there was no table set out for us the lady behind the bar knew nothing about my booking and just said there had been a technical fault in the kitchen so no food available, no manager to speak to so was utterly disgusted at a time when I was also very upset. I had to start ringing round other pubs to find somewhere else as I had 14 people wanting food. When I checked my phone I did have a missed call and voicemail at 14.06 and then an email at 14.09 but as I was attending my relatives funeral my phone was switched off so never got the call or email till after we had turned up. I also never got a follow up call the day after to apologise for what had happened, I get that the kitchen issue was probably out of anyone's control, but the fact that I wasn't spoken to and it wasn't followed up is disgusting, I won't be visiting ever again and would never recommend it to anyone

Visited tonight for my daughter’s birthday meal. Lovely food, friendly & helpful staff. Made such a fuss of my daughter and even gave her some little suprises New and updated facilities. Lovely and clean inside and amazingly friendly staff who really go that extra mile

Not as good as it used to be. We used to make a point of eating here at least once a week. Sadly, the quality of the food has declined recently. On our last visit, we ordered curry, which arrived with rice, not chips. Sent back, and rice just scraped off plate, leaving remnants under chips. Curry only Luke warm. Sent back again. Arrived only Luke warm again. Gave up.

Carvery was enjoyable although could have been hotter, have a major issue with your wine pricing, medium sized glass of mediocre wine at £5.95 is really overpriced

Been back in today for the first time in just over 12 months. Our last visit we said we'd never return even though we're only a short walk away, this was due to the visible drugs issue, atmosphere and cleanliness. However saw it was under new management and the new reviews looked positive so we gave it a go. Wow what an improvement 👏 we had the burger and a drink deal, we weren't expecting much for £10 but wow the burgers were amazing! Staff behind the bar were friendly and attentive, place looks so much cleaner and is so much a friendlier more comfortableplace to be. We will definitely be back more often now! Keep up the good work 👏 also kids eat for a £1 was a nice bonus, my little boy said his burger was the best ever and his donuts were yummy.

Went to a family Wake here last week. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The buffet provided was great and the choice was very good, also drinks decently priced. The only downside were the 5 kids that constantly just kept running through the pub unsupervised, knocking drinks over and generally being a pain.

This is our local pub but It had gone VERY down hill - food was terrible and the place was full of drug dealers and low-life. This is our first visit in over a year and i can happily say it seems to be back on track. Food was delicious and there was a good selection to choose from. Prices are good and portions were a good size. The atmosphere was MUCH better and the amount of effort being put in to make this pub better really shows. It's also fantastic to see all the events they have planned. We are already planning to go in more regularly now - long may the resurrection of our local continue!

Brilliant Night, little busy thought it was going to be a bit rough but lovely steak meals with very friendly staff. Decided to stay a little for the karaoke but the DJ was brillliant so we stayed a little longer to enjoy the atmosphere created. Never been before but would definitely go again. Thank You everyone for a very enjoyable evening

9 of us booked for Sunday carvery. The meal was lovely, all empty plates. Desserts were not nice at all. Apple crumble and chocolate tart, would not recommend. Service was a little slow, even though place was very quiet. We would return as the carvery was yummy, but probably skip Desserts!

Any pub with electric car charger gets my vote. Didn't use the premises but looked OK.

Slow service. Overpriced warm flat lager. Sent back and they poured it into another glass to then taste worse. Expect to wait a long time to get served as well. Not as its busy but because the staff look as if they want to be else where

Great pub under new management. Can definitely recommend the carvery dinner. Quiz night was great fun and great host. Fantastic selection of drinks available too. Will definitely be back.

We went to have our Sunday lunch here after hearing it had changed hands, the food was great, just like a home made Sunday roast very tasty. The pub looked a lot cleaner since the change in management, we will defo be going again.

Was not expecting much but called in as we were starving and in need of a carvery. I have to say I was really happy and it exceeded all of our expectations. The food was hot and fresh and the server was friendly. Would definitely call in again if passing and in need of a full tummy. Also it was only about £40 for 4 of us - I didn’t even think you could get a family meal out for that these days!

Visited today first and last time. Family of 6 every meal came out separate 15 minutes apart, first meal eaten way before last one delivered. Poor quality ingredients very small portions. Food was tasty however very poor quality. On the plus side very friendly staff

Under new management, already a lot cleaner 👍🏼👍🏼 Plenty of outside seating, nice solid tables with parasols. Tables moved away from pool table so you can actually play pool without knocking your pint over 😀 Employed glass collectors too, some bar staff are still a little slow in serving so expect a small que even if it is just you at the bar 🫤 maybe a refresher course or some staff training 😁😆. It seems to be busier and the type of people going in are starting to create a nice family atmosphere... The price for a pint is a little steep I would like to see some pennies getting knocked off a pint 🫵🏼👍🏼

Had Sunday lunch was OK found it strange customer walking up taking a roast potato and dipping it in gravy then sat down (not having a meal) put me off tbh unfortunately won't be returning had higher hopes tbf

We have visited this pub numerous times. But stopped because it was scruffy. Didn’t even have toilet roll in the toilets sometimes . Since Scott has had it. It is a lot better , cleaner and the food is a lot better. The Sunday lunch was lovely. We visited a marstons pub on Father’s Day in Rotherham and the service and food was inadequate. Made a real change with this pub. Lots of events. Lots of raffles .brilliant. Well done scott and staff From ang and pete

Under new Management , so popped down to check it out ....had a great feel to the place , so decided to have a bite to eat. Went to the bar and ordered to our table number, nice range of beers and good menu. Food came quite quickly and was presented and tasted great . Staff were everso helpfull and the new landlord , Ryan came to make sure everything was ok.....a nice touch I thought .... Overall great for the family and think with the "New Broom" greater things are to come ......get yersen down there , check it out ........😊

We have been regular visitors here over the years and called in last night before a theatre show. The pub was fairly busy and we had a little bit of a wait for the food ( not excessive) but when it arrived it was delicious. Me and my mum had prawn salad and it was fresh and plentiful. Prices are very reasonable, portion sizes good and staff friendly and helpful. This pub is a place where we always feel comfortable and welcomed. Read somewhere that they might start doing live music events again and that's something we will definitely look out for. All doors open on a beautiful summers evening, families sat out in the sunshine, an enjoyable trip.

First time eating here since the menu change, and the none gluten containing menu has changed giving better option for food items. I had the cowboy burger that was delicious and above expectations. Our server Katie couldn’t be more helpful. ☺️

We go here every month or so, and it is always good. The food varies between okay and good - the last visit had one if the best vegetarian chillis I have ever had! It isn't the most child-friendly of places after about 6pm with older customers complaining if children are running around. This isn't unfair, because the layout of the bar means that hurtling children run the risk of knocking over a person with glasses in their hands. There is a nice outdoor area, though, for when the rain isn't coming down in sheets!

The Tabard was booked so family and friends could all go there after a funeral. There was only one old lady trying to serve - both behind the bar and talking meals to the tables. They had no milk for the coffee and tea that was provided, so we had to go to the shop and buy our own milk. They were also too busy to serve the food, so we had to go into the kitchen and get the food ourselves! Absolutely the worst service I have ever had.

The wait time is completely unacceptable. Really empty and been waiting nearly an hour haven't even got it yet.... came an hour and 19 mins after we ordered. Then came with hairs in food.

There was a warm welcome when we approached the bar. We were served our drinks almost immediately and were given clear information about food ordering and table locations. Food was ordered and on presentation and delivery of food to the table, the person who served asked if we needed anything else. The food was as requested. There were 3 types of steaks ordered and they were cooked to perfection. For the rest of the evening we sat and had drinks and were made very welcome in a nice warm establishment.

Booked Christmas Dinner for me an wife first time out together for Christmas Dinner been together for 39 years cost 45 pounds each. worst Christmas Dinner I have ever had in my life waiting a long time for table when got table waiting half a hour for someone to ask us if ready for starter which was cold then I had to go to bar and ask if it would be OK to get our main meal which was just a normal carvary no roasters just choice of 2 veg then sweet which by this time we didn't won't when we booked said we can have some vauchers but never got any when I went back to ask for them got told that they had ran out but had ordered some and when they got them promised to post them to me still nothing cost me going on 90 pounds for 2 dinners if I new wouldn't have payed 40 gloryfied carvery put me of for life

Went for a family celebration about 30 of us in total adults and kids. All meals catered for as requested kids first then adults all sorts of different meals but all came out on time, tasty and hot. Serving staff polite and friendly, good value too.

Visited with family for a meal and drinks. Atmosphere was friendly. There was a group in for a baby shower which were quite load. Food/drinks were fairly priced.

Very disappointing. A group of 16 of us went for Xmas lunch, starters came out which were lovely. The Xmas dinners came out & they were luke warm infact some sent there's back to be reheated as were too cold.The gravy was that thick it wouldn't pour, it wasn't hot either. Desserts were OK although the brownie came with neither baileys ice-cream or biscoff biscuit as advertised. After our organiser complained we got a full refund.

Came for a festive meal with my family and wow it was amazing, the attention to detail on presentation of the food was better than I expected for a local pub! The salmon is to die for thanks to Emma and chef Gemma for a lovely day for me and my friends.

Came for Santa's grotto with our 3 year old and it was just gorgeous. So much effort had been put in to get the magical feeling for the kids. It was structured so you paid and then they would come and tell your family that santa is ready to see you. Didn't have to physically queue. They clearly worked above and beyond for the grotto and it was nice and cheap, and the kids got a present each wrapped! Food was really nice and any changes we made to our meals were listened to and correct. Service was lovely and staff so kind and helpful. So glad we came. We will be back!

Just managed to get food before they stopped serving. They stop at 6pm! Veggie burger was apparently very nice, but normal nurgwr was bland and boring. Basic food, service was OK. Price reasonable.

Went out to eat with the Father and had "THE ULTIMATE BEEF BURGER" and I can say it was absolutely amazing just like the amazing service from Kate, Benise and Neil but extra point to Kate our server. will come again :)

Really friendly staff Kate, Burmese and Neil really looked after us. I Had the cowboy burger and it was one of the best burgers I've had in ages. Would recommend to anyone Six stars.

Terrible experience. No food was layed out for the funeral they forgot it ! We got knock up cold sausage rolls and crisps in a bowl. Absolutely never go there again. Disgraceful service.

Came for food this lunch time and it was amazing, had the ultimate chicken burger, it was massive!! really lovely food, great staff and a LOT of good stuff advertised for christmas and halloween.
