Been here a few times now. Lovely food always good size portions and great night out with friends. You won’t be disappointed.

Terrible food Bright red with lots of colouring, really sweet Vegetable curry like soup, not one vegetable in it

Another fabulous evening, great service and beautiful food. This is a restaurant were every time we visit. They are present their A game. Even on a busy Friday night, the food is perfect.

Fabulous tasty food. Generous portions. Staff friendly and very helpful. Will make this my new favourite Restaurant

Lovely food very clean / waiter service minimal Got our bill messed up which we got put right then added another drink on that we also flagged up on therefore the owner came over arguing and being very rude and aggressive over 1 beer - IF YOU GO CHECK YOUR YOUR BILL

We visited with real excitement to try a new Indian Restaurant in the local area. Unfortunately Zaafran was the worst Indian we have ever set foot in. The manager, in a grey suit was the rudest man we have ever come across in the thousands of restaurants we have visited. On top of this, the food is absolutely terrible, with no care or interest in what the customer wants. I have been to many restaurants in the local area! AVOID. Go to Razza which is 50 yards down the road. This is not worth your money. Terrible place.

Booked a table online for 4 of us. We were sat right opposite the toilets. After eating our poppadums the toilet was constantly being opened and closed causing a daft and some unpleasant smells. I asked very politely if we could be reseated on an empty table. The older man in a suit who does the table seating was very rude and told us it was not possible, there was no nasty smells. He then started shouting at me. I was totally embarressed and will NEVER visit this restaurant again

i must say this restaurant is absolutely fantastic and certainly the best indian food for miles. i cannot agree with any of the reviews that state the food is terrible they cannot be eating in this restaurant and must be mistaken for another i eat in there two to three times per week some people just do not appreciate decent food

Terrible to say the least! And we haven't even ordered the mains yet! Because we wanted to relax and enjoy my son's birthday! We had a early booking for 17:15.Arrived on time but then the circus started! We ordered drinks and poppadoms, told the waiter it's my son's birthday and we don't want to be rushed! But from the start they kept on asking us if we ready to order.The waiter's kept on walking past us giving us looks and talking bewteen themselves about us. By 18:15 they told us we have to order because they have 2 hour slots which nobody told us about. But at that stage we were just about to put in a order for our meal when the waiter talked to my son in a very rude manner and I asked the waiter what the problem was and then told him not to worry we will just go and he said it's fine. I was very upset by that time and my son got up and talked to a very rude old man I assume it was the manager but the way he spoke to my son was terrible and I must just say at that time we were 6 people in the whole restaurant including us two. So I can't understand what the whole issue was about! It felt if we were in a drive-though. If I wanted to go to Mcdonald we would have done so. I fully understand now why people complain about this restaurant and the staff including the Manager. It is such a shame that in these days things like this happens! Well it was the first and last time so like others we would recommend this restaurant to nobody and I would not recommend this place to nobody if they just want to enjoy them selves with their families. Shame on you Zafraan, Manager and Staff! To the people please do yourself a favour and spare your family this terrible ordeal!

This was a disaster to say the least.I have never been to a restaurant that has such poor manners and customer service is non exsistant honestly they can close up completely.I thought as a family we would give it a go as there was a birthday,despite all the very negative reviews current on Zafraan Gidea Park but We gave a chance .And I can honestly say and can confirm that Zafraan is a Rude , Terreble establishment bad customer service,including a manager that should know better and you feel very rushed like a mcdonald drive thru.If you want a relaxed evening with your family then this place is not for you. Please allow me to explain: We arrived first,empty restaurant at 17:15 buy a very grumpy atmosphere .Then we ordered a bottle of wine ,sambles and papodoms,sparkling water and a beer.Every 5 minutes we was rudely interupted for the next order .Hang on still eating papadoms and sambles,this happened a few times. When we finished, It took some time for the empty plates to be removed so we can have space to look at the menu.Once this was done I was about to go through the menu and was aproached by the assistant manager that said you have only a 2 hour sitting which was rude as i was about to order.The way he done this was inapropriote as i was about to go through the menu .At this point in time there was only 1 family of 4 next to us so 6 people in the entire restaurant.I spoke to the Grumpy Manager and he ageed with the assistant that this was indeed correct to do to a customer.I still had 1 hour left to order as the order would have gone through at 18:15. We finished our drinks and left Zafraan with no food and hungry ,the Manager of Zafraan did not seem concerned at all and please read this to avoid dissapointment going there ,you will not enjoy it.And no where do they state about a 2 hour sitting,that is absolute noncence and infact this is irrelevant on a empty restaurant and the manager lied to me to say that it takes 30min to prepare main course as the family next to us had there mains in 15 minutes.All Pre - Cooked! GLad i did not try the lamb heard it was tough as nails. Bad ,bad bad .........

Fantastic food well presented with amazing flavour will definitely be back very soon. Both the starters and the main courses we had were full of flavour and a good size. The atmosphere was buzzing, we went early at 6 and there were a few tables available but when we left at 8 it was heaving. Service very good and friendly

Came here as this place is always very busy but sadly we won’t return. We found the service excellent and the staff very friendly but the food was below average. It was well presented but lacked flavour. The Aloo Gobi was so bland all you could taste was tomatoes.

Hadn't booked but the staff were accommodating and found us a table. Great atmosphere with friendly staff who appeared to be on first name terms with a few of the other diners which is always a good sign! Staff were attentive and efficient, food was fantastic and the price was decent. Would highly recommend and will be taking friends there soon 👌🏻

great varied menu with a slight twist on some dishes, extensive menu nonetheless. Staff are courteous and friendly and know the dishes on the menu well and are good at giving advice. good selection of beverages too.

We have been coming here for years, by far the best Indian around. The food is lovely and much nicer than your typical curry house plus the restaurant itself it nice.
